I mean, "bad" would depend on how good the game still performs, and if you have any issues with the vanilla content due to mod issues. But 450 is definitely quite a lot
I mean it takes like 1-2 mins to load in and like another 1-2 to get into a map, and whenever I open my veichle menu it takes like 15-30 seconds to load.

until 1 mod breaks the entire game and you have to comb thru all the mods you have to see which one broke

I don't recall there being a built in functionality in c++, you'd need to cache all heights to two coordinates and then search through those

Yep thats how it works because the steering wheels before i do chrome lip the inner will accommodated the center armrest so if it orange it is orange but sport trim the armrests is black but battlehawk is red alcantara
Chrome barrel lip can also blacked out upon what you choose of interior default trims

Those are models that are put onto existing jbeams of vanilla cars, often being low quality
you've found mods you like, not mods that are good. Most of those mods are stolen/ use vanilla jbeams which don't match the body meshes, and also can contain virsues

So no, F4 is not comparable to CART or Indycar

hi i have a bmw mod, and im wanting to add a actual bmw turn signal sound for personal use ofc. any ideas how i can add a custom turn signal audio? i've never really modded anything and i could only find one thread of saying to open the jbeam in notepad++,
im not too sure, i havent done liveries that much before. try tweak something as the size of the image could be too small, big, etc or you might have conflicting colours that are overlaying onto the car

open the vehicle you want to edits folder, then scroll until you find body.jbeam or xxxxx_body.jbeam, then open the file in any editor text editor, but preferably one with formatting. find the [soundscape] section, then find the indicator sounds. now, you want to place your indicator sounds in .wav format or some other audio format into art/sound/xxxx.wav
then, replace event:>Vehicle>Interior>Indicator>FIPA_CLICK or whichever you are changing to art/sound/xxxx.wav or whatever you saved the file as
file structure should roughly be like:

This is the new BMW chime and blinker that's been in use in most of their cars for a few years now- this is the G20 3 series.
Keep watching til the end, I tacked on another start up. I think the error chime sounds really good.
BMW also changed the blinker stalk to stay down instead of going back to center when you activate it.

For the jbeam you could use the official jbeam editor plugin, it can import entire car jbeams via .pc files
As for the visible mesh (3d model) I don't think that's possible

The facelift Sunburst spawns in traffic without rear wheels (fixable by deleting the traffic version from the files), and the 2nd gen Zenith misses its rear wheels completely (there is a fix for that somewhere in its thread, I'll look it up in a moment)
So they marked it as outdated while they fix those issues + others + add more content, but the mod still works fine other apart from the 2 issues listed above

as for me rn kljp break the performance especially in career mode. beamng says that's because of gpu, but gpu on 3% load and 0 fps

This is the skin UV layout of all the body parts from the mod, other stuff like front and rear bumpers, hood, etc. are probably just vanilla parts using the vanilla UV

They might still use the same UV layout. From the side (looking at the face of the wheel), their shape is quite similar

At the moment, when I do mine, not for beam, I just do the skin part, hide them and then scale down the extras and put them in a corner and slap a black square over it

But if you also wanna have 'norma' textures, you'll need to have a uv map 0 for those, and then a uv map 1 for skins
at least i'm the only one creating an upfit for the MD-series
The main difference is that the 0 map is laid out as efficiently as possible, with space for all parts of the car, whereas the 1 map is laid out in an easy to use version for making skins, and only includes the exterior body panels
Do you have a documentation link for it that I can read upon later
Actually, so 0 is for the materials and everything with it right, that has everything
And 1 is just the relevant faces with the rest in a corner

For example this is the 0 map for the md series cab, kinda chaotic and harder to understand, but a lot more efficient space wise (lots of empty space right now but that is used by all other parts, as you can see by all the details on the normalmap in the background)
While this is the 1 map, a lot more organised and only body panels

The vanilla cars mainly use 2048x1024 for skins, some exceptions here and there (like the scintilla with 4096x2048?? sheesh). In the case of a simple two tone or stripe skin you could probably even get away with 1024x512 to save some space if you care about that

Check the materials names in Blender, they might have .001 or .002 added to them. Blender does that when you have 'duplicate' materials, but it makes it so BeamNG doesn't recognise the materials anymore. So just get rid of the .001 or .002 etc. if that is the case

Easy answer is to just nove the two nodes next to the tire a bit more, that should be fine
More complicated answer is to make the jbeam follow the lines of the body, right now it's just a box. Seems quite low poly/density too for a jbeam, try comparing it to the ambulance box upfit or something like that
i will admit its more of a "modified meshslap" than an actual jbeam right now as i only took the flatbed jbeam and thickened it but the ambulance one would be smarter to use

Nodes and triangles by default. You can turn off their collision individually, but that's not something I'd recommend for this case

Yeah as long as they don't open it shouldn't be very hard to add - though once you figure out how openables work you can still definitely add them later on, without having to redo much of the cabinet jbeam

Well what I mean is that there isn't really a lot of future proofing needed at all. As long as your doors/hatches can be ripped open with the nodegrabber but still hinge properly, you'll be able to turn them into openables at a later time with just a small amount of changes to the actual jbeam

a mod that i personally would love to see is a map with a showroom in it that has the super good lighting just like the default one in the game and then also a few test tracks like maybe the automation test track map mixed with gridmap v2 and showroom

well that's because the gltf exported isn't meant to export things how there supposed to be its to export crashed models. it exports the car exactly as it is in beam ng so whatever angle you have it in beam its never gonna export it how you want it to be exported.

Ok so in the other mod copy the whole art folder and put it in the mod you want then open the engine that uses the rb26 sounds and find where it says sound config and copy that section to the engine you want

Change "couplerTag":"tow_hitch" to "couplerTag":"pintle"
However if you want to do it properly you'll have to change some more stuff, including triggers if you wanna use those instead of the L key to couple, and realistically the strength of the hitch too. Try looking at the pintle vs reciever hitch in the game files /content/vehicles/md_series.zip/vehicles/md_series/md_series_hitch_plate.jbeam

Depends on what car, I'd assume in most case they have their own jbeam file with hitch in the name, like in the md-series example I sent
It should be in the game files, in your Steam library right click on BeamNG > Manage > Browse local files
And then your modded version would go in the userfolder (https://documentation.beamng.com/support/userfolder/)

The entire thing? Just take the vanilla hitch .jbeam file from the game files (of whatever can you're working on), and copy that to your userfolder/0.34/mods/unpacked/modname/vehicles/carname/ here
Then give the file a unique name so it doesn't overwrite the vanilla file. Do the same for the part name all the at the top in the jbeam (and for other parts in the file too, if there are any). Then it will be a separate part from the vanilla one, and you can make whatever change you'd like to it
