I was about to say. I dont think its hard to automate that process if you get each clients sale info. That way you could make a program to write the serial into each file, save it and make it zipped. Could be done on a server

my 2.5L tdi audi gets me comfortably from a to b at high speeds on the highway while keeping fuel consumption low 💯 and it's got torque for days

make sure the thing can move and not explode due to instability
then you have to create a custom keybind with some json and keybind stuff, you generally copy that from a vanilla car and modify it to fit your purpose

A couple of years ago I had the stupid idea to build a BeamNG.drive Ibishu Pigeon using a 3 wheel Honda Gyro Moped into a oil drums! Most of the hard work is done and its now into the finer details and fiddly work. Today I am finally taking it out for the first test drive!

The search feature on the site is pretty bad, try googling site:beamng.com and then whatever it is you're looking for. That way it will only show results from the official site
As far as I know, sites like Modland don't actually have as many virusses and stuff as people say. But definitely a lot of low quality and/or stolen mods. Best to stick to the official site and the in-game mod repository

and youve probably got a case of double sided materials, that mesh probably should only be viewed from the bottom (when the hood is open) so if you make the material doublesided and look from the opposite place, it looks wrong

It's a BeamNG thing. Look for the hood material (probably part of the main body material) in the mods main.materials.json
The material will probs have a line that says something like doubleSided: true, remove that

That would be the material. And in the case of a light, that material will be linked to a glowmap, that toggles between the off and on materials
In your case, with a car that already has working lights, you can just use one of the glowmap materials that was already used for those lights

Using 3rd party sites such as Modland is not recommended. Lots of low quality and/or stolen mods, and potentially even virusses. The only official places to get mods from are the in-game repository, the website version of that same repository (https://www.beamng.com/resources/) and the forums (https://www.beamng.com/categories/mods.23/)
Paid mods use 3rd party sites for the payment, like Ko-Fi, Gumroad, Patreon. Just make sure the mod has a forum page too, like this one for example https://www.beamng.com/threads/gavril-scout-18-24-paid.88644/
And lastly, the search function of the forums is... not great. If you're looking for something specific, try googling site:beamng.com and then whatever you are looking for behind it

I just edited the length of the singular rpm sample to be 20x as long and then took a 1 second sample of each rpm for both upward video and downward video

True for a basic mod like changing a couple values anything else is not easy unless you know specifically what your looking for , jbeam = easy. Most other games it's just drag and drop and they have tools specifically to use to make mods that make it super easy
Imo beamng is basically at that level too, lots of modding tools are included in the world editor (experimental > vehicle editor) and things like the official blender jbeam plugin 🤷

Take the Cherrier Picnic for example, only one 27 line lua file for the clock. The rest is jbeam/textures/model/json for which there is plently of documentation and useful tools - not to mention all the original game files which serve as documentation too

i have a vm too and can run local ai but it still isn't gonna make anywhere close to an eligible jbeam because it doesnt know what to do at all if it could there would be thousands of mods popping up everyday

I've tried multiple times with other ai stuff, non of them could even properly edit it, theyd break the sintax jus by asking to change values in simple tables (torque curve tables) and would confuse jbeam with many similar coding languages, they can also barely understand 3d space so it's impossible for them to understand the complexity of nodes, beams triangles and all their relations

i'm having trouble getting a material to work. in the world editor it's mapped to the right material in blender, but textures won't show up on it.
it's not saving anything (other than the initial creation of the material) to the materials file either.
i have already cleared the cache 2 times since that seemed to help before

In that case the person who made the mod probably used some kind of custom mesh for the license plate instead of a common one, they will have to fix it themselves and update the mod

Not sure, if they were using a vanilla mesh it should've been fine. Easiest fix would be to go into the license plates .jbeam file and change the flexbody name to whatever the vanilla cars use (just licenseplate from the top of my head, while the eu one is licenseplate-52-11)
If that still doesn't fix it, the plate might've been flipped using "rot" (rotation) parameter that's behind the flexbody's name in the jbeam, changing that by 180* should do the trick
Looks like that mod uses textures that were changed in an update. You'll have to ask the modder to fix it and update the mod

The search feature on the site is pretty bad, try googling site:beamng.com and then whatever it is you're looking for. That way it will only show results from the official site
There are also 3rd party sites such as Modland, but those feature a lot of low quality / stolen mods, and potentially even malicious content / viruses, so using such sites is not recommended. If you do, use at your own risk, and don't click any suspicious ads or links

Light materials work a bit differently than normal materials. Instead of just having a material in the main.materials.json file of the car, they tend to have three (off/on/on_intense), and then the game uses a so called glowMap to decide when it should use those materials
For the Vivace/Tograc, these are the glowMaps for the drl's (they can be found in the main vivace.jbeam file)```json
