its quite simple to do one

by copying the base engine code and searching until i found the section that has the math for intake and exhaust torque, then just cloning that and changing the name

you use CTRL F to find the original value and then copy paste that section of code

is there a way to scale a minimap up in the json settings? when I set a 8192 img to 30392 to match my map scale it is just black on the navigator? (is that just not a thing? Ive scaled my img up with photoshop and cut it into pieces but the map wont render in multiple pieces no matter what i try.)

Why does my minimap come up black if i set a high offset? it displays at 0,0 or 100,100 but doesnt work at all above 2000 or -2000 (it does display but it gets cut off at the edge of a border, not the correct border either. its as if the map size shrinks down when an offset is added and cuts off the map.)

Yo devs..... I just want to point out that implementing a minimap is waaaay waaaay harder than it shud be.... (possible that my map is just to big and im hitting hardware or software limitations but, ive seen bigger maps...)
I have 3 different versions of my image in different sizes and one that is cut into pieces. I have spent 2 days messing with the minimap json settings. and I can confirm, that it is inconsistent and rarely works correctly. 1 img works at 0,0, and at -15196,0, but if i try to use 2 imgs with these offsets it just fails and doesnt render the minimap. and apperently an img that is 30k by 30k will not render either (but i suppose i saw that one coming.)

Someone please help. I bought the Gavril Dynamo mod and I'm having an issue. I've looked everywhere and found nothing. My problem is when I open the convertible top as it's folding down the trunk tries to close to early so it hits the convertible top before it can fully close, so they clip into each other and explode. I have to node grab the top and force it into the trunk. When I open it it also breaks. It just detaches from the car. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

You can recreate all the tires
To do this, open the file: userFolder\temp\Variable_Grip_Tires_On_Lua\Delete_all_created.json.

And in it, change "false" to "true."
Open the game - all previously created tires should be deleted. (You don't need to enter the map, just wait for the main menu to load).

Then close the game and delete this file. That's all.
At the next entry - tires will be created by new.

The mod is pretty old. It would be nice to redo it.
But I haven't found the time to do it yet.

I copied the missions folder from the zip, pasted into the gameplay folder for the game.

Yep that is the trick if you want to do this manually

And if you want to customize or make your own one it's easy to copy/past a current folder and/or modify some options, "by example" if you want a formula4 (carbon mod) race scenario 😉 (you just need to enable the f4 carbon mod of course)

If you are looking for sound mods that replace vanilla sounds then yeah they would be universal, however that means it would override some existing files, which isn't allowed on the repo. Idk if there are some on the forums tho.
Otherwise you need a separate engine to be made, so no, not universal, but if a mod creator makes that engine for every vehicle it could qualify as universal.

Forums are not included ingame, but sometimes feature awesome mods that have real brands for example

You do have to look on the forums for real brands, because they usually violate copyright laws that beamNG isn't allowed to include in their game, that is the reason. Licensing and stuff

Yeah stay on the forums, use the trick i mentioned above and you will find most of the stuff you need.
Other sites sometimes have viruses on them or in the mods posted on there, so i really wouldn't recommend. Also the mods are almost always stolen ones reuploaded without permission just to make money, while on the repo the creator uploads it for free.

One of my dream maps to make is a full PBR 8km x 8km map that is a big city with skyscrapers, lots of freeways, and suburbs.

I would like to do a 1.5x1.5km dense CBD with some 250m+ skyscrapers, another 1.5km of medium density neighbourhoods with buildings up to 75m tall surrounding the CBD, and the rest suburbs with regular houses, plus some parks and fields!

It would be cool, but I will need help with making buildings, and it could take up to, or over a year to make!
