believe it or not the fixed headlight front end was inspired by the 80s Chevy Nova (which was a rebadged AE82 Corolla). The black and red one was intended as a tweaked and rebadged version for the US market kind of like a dodge stealth as opposed to a mitsubishi 3000GT. I’m thinking that it will be sold under Bruckell, as opposed to the popup headlighted one likely being a Hirochi.
But yeah its visually mainly based on the T160 Celica but with the proportions and RWD drivetrain of the A60. The hatchback one to the right was inspired by the S12, Accord, and AE86 hatchbacks.

I’ve settled on the Hirochi one being named the Phoenix but I’m unsure what I’ll call the Bruckell. I was thinking of calling it the Attacker.

Go into the mods tab, open modfolder, and then take the file and put it into the beamng mod file

On the website theres also an automatic download button called "subscribe". if you did it that way its faster and you'll already have the mod ready to use just go to the engine and put it on then tune it

Guys I found something

so, the devs kept the JBeam code for the beams holding the doors in place before the latch mechanism was updated

however, they deactivated them using slashes and asterisks

so if you're trying to make a new vehicle work in older versions, just delete the coupling part of the code and this pair of asterisks and slashes

Hello. I just wanted to ask if BeamMP is safe. I am not sure, because the BMP Discord is literally bigger than this one and ive seen many people and my friends use it. At the same time it gets flagged THREE times in virustotal. Any advice? Oh and yes I downloaded it from the official site

yep it's safe, dw you won't get viruses. some antivirus programmes log stuff as viruses even though they aren't because they look for certain filetypes and log it as a virus. it's wierd how it works but eh.

Also modland is not a good source of mods
However when you have downloaded a mod, you put it in the mods folder

3rd-party websites like WOM unfortunately (besides literally stealing the mods they host) also tell you to install the mods incorrectly. Use the beamng repository or forums for mods

What sucks more is the mods themselves, typically. They're meshslaps, aka. a model from a different game with a crash model from a default car
This means that the collision and driving behaviour doesn't match the model at all, and they rarely have modeled internals

triggers exist based on 3 nodes they reference for their position, and their input is converted to an action that can either trigger hydraulics, latches or other triggers. If you have even just basic Jbeam knowledge, simply looking at the trigger code can tell you plenty about how they work

Usually, 3rd party mod providers are kinda sketchy, and can even be dangerous to download some mods as they can have malware in them. BeamNG repo is however better moderated than ModLand, so there shouldn’t be anything what steals your credit card info when installing

I've figured out how it works to some extent, and have gotten at least the door closing aspect to work to an extent. However, I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong as I can't get the door to unlock. I've added all the other essentials however, just can't understand this trigger section. Here's how it looks in game, The door's jbeam, and the body's jbeam. Massively large maps are possible in beam, but anything too large can cause tons of floating point errors and jitters
