Ok that's not a step I've done. Please could you explain the steps to try to get it to do so? I've been using the world editor to test the model. I put the .dae and all the material pngs in BeamNG.drive\0.30\levels\smallgrid and then I'm using the asset browser in the world editor to place it down

in BeamNG.drive\0.30\temp\levels\smallgrid I get a file shar.cdae but nothing else. In the game all the materials are missing

If it generates a materials json for a vehicle maybe I can put the entire map mesh as a vehicle and run the game to generate it

It works on the concept that the texture file names are simular to the material slots for the models

the attribute of the effect and file name are a bit different
You can modify the difflib function if it is too strict
say your slot is called "kiwiki24_bmp_png" and the image file name is "kiwiki24_color_1234.png" It should match

Art stuff is a bit out of my expertise area, but afaik for PBR to look correct it has to be designed for and not automatically converted in some fashion

Im using the rally pacenotes mod and its timed trials which are great. However, I'd like to be able to add more props to the scene through the F11 world editor. Is this possible (e.g. am i able to import the timed trial level and add props?)
People rant about the reliability even tho they suffer the same flaws as any other Toyota diesel. The injectors work overtime, all the time and they need replacement after 150 to 200,000 km or else you will kill the engine. it cost 8k not including the fitment.

has a 4 speed automatic drag transmission w a trans brake
also comes w a lot of other things like adjustable wheelie bars, drag suspension parts, parachutes, new wheels/tires etc

Some how no wheelie bar, it just doesnt wheelie lol. I atruggle to keep the front wheels down on my 200bx around 3000hp. Meos trans works perfectly with it and its been 5.9s

How would you create a rotation point in a jbeam? Obviously connecting to only one node would allow rotation, but then has no lateral stability? For example, being able to turn skis . Or having something like a bike handle be able to turn including the nodes. Is there a node equivalent to the props functions?

but not all mods are there and they have to be downloaded from other sites

I'm honestly surprised how there is a lack of Jurassic Park mods for BeamNG, considering how many iconic scenes from the films have included vehicles.
Like, all we really have is the Beamic Roamer, the Beamic Park skin for the Hopper that's in game, and then the Beamic Park Hopper mod that is now Outdated.

In my project, I have a crane model in blender and I can control arm length, arm angle, etc, with sliders, and client wanted to add BeamNG physics damage system for that, but now I see it's not a feasible idea.
I think I will create my own simplified version of damage system in Unity
I will just use few breakable joints, split model in Blender, make them break when a certain force is applied
maybe do a simple fake vertex deform of Mesh in Unity, as I done already
Btw the way BeamNG works is actually very neat, as far as I know, it's called verlet integration
I did verlet integration once in 2D and it worked relatively good, but I cant imagine doing that in 3D, it would take years to develop
