ps: beamng sidewalls have the same amount of grip as the tread so this is way more likely to happen in beam than in real life even with the correct values

try to find a happy medium
slick tires are kinda firm so not unless its under extreme cornering will sidewall start grabbing
also find a good psi for your slick tires to make them firmer

Is there a good way to let people try my cars from Automation? I mostly want to see how easy it is for someone else to run the Nürburgring in under 7 minutes with my new "supercar". My cars are really boring outside how nice they feel to drive so not really worthy of a showcase or whatever.

could anyone let me know a good place to be installing IRL car mods, as im under the impression that the official website doesnt have IRL cars. so far tried modland and worldofmods but they both seem to be a bit virusy, especially modland as it all leads you to external sites where you have to "install a browser extension"

no, make a folder in unpacked mods, if you have no knowledge watch a tutorial first

it all works its jut the tires slip so much

don't do that to, go in the mod folder>unpacked>create a folder with the name you want> in it, a "vehicles" folder> in it a "coupe" folder and in it your .jbeam with a different name

at 350 the wheels probably expand and literally rip apart and take the rest of the car with it lol
and also when i start moving it starts normal but when it gets to like 8k rpm it then skids my tyres and goes all the way to 20k rpm not allowing it to change gear

do the tires explode at 350mph, thats the issue i feel. at that speed the wheels literally increase in size because they are stretched by the forces at that speed
if your in arcade mode it doesnt like alot of unrealistic or super high power setups
no it explodes at gear 6 when it goes into the 400mph mark
bit it is it like i said, the tires getting bigger or the engine exploding
i have it in realistic, but when i drive the wheels are so fast that my air speed isnt the same as my wheel speed
so my air speed gotta catch up to the wheel speed in order for me to switch gears otherwise i slip and lose controll

Here is the bmw 330i turbocharged edits. If you want to test just drop in mods folder and in etk800 select the config "bmw30"
i got help from a bmw owner to develop it lol
all parts are now in one jbeam file and they are separate to all etk800 parts
so no conflict or problem should arise.

buy yeah, given the amound of polys, the terrible topology and the minimal amound od spiking, I think it is fair to say that highpoly models are fine so long as the jbeam is good and the mesh topology is also somewhat decent
what is defined as good topology. i never got it
also considering the barstow hasnt had a revamp yet so the jbeam could always improve lol
making less spikes
basically the barstow mesh is optimised for gaming and has triangles, when subd is applied that ruins the topology
though most of the mesh is still quads so not too bad

Hello it's me again. I need your help beacuse there was a glitch in my BeamNG when loading every map that causes me to spawn under the map, not on the ground. I can't even move my camera in photo mode. Can you please give me some tips to fix this glitch?🙁
You only need arcade steering, then you're gucci
So far the only fix seems to be to make a clean new userfolder. Just rename yours from 0.28 to 0.28_save. The game will then make a new 0.28 folder. Your configs, mods, and settings, will be in the 0.28_save folder, so you can copy them over if you want. Just keep in mind something in there messes up the camera, so don't just copy everything over

yes they are good to understand how it work, but you will need to check the beamng documentation https://documentation.beamng.com/modding/ to complete it (also check how base vehicles work)

The tutorials by MorzBNG are overall good. The guy explains things pretty clearly. If you want more specific infomation then reading through the BeamNG Wiki isn't a bad idea. Apart from this and the MFD server there aren't many good tutorials to start your modding journey.
Looking at the vanilla files has helped me a lot

@frank kelp, The Scout will have Passenger versions of every trim, or only some trims? I think you posted a trim list at some point, but I don't remember if it broke down passenger or not versions and all that?

Hello, I need airbags for beamng and I have a very good idea for the modder. First you'll select in the configurations the paint design (Like JATO) and so the airbag is activate for the car. To detect when the airbags should blow up, the radiator ist our friend, if the radiator gets hit,( like in a front crash) it should trigger the airbags. For our back passengers we use the side doors, if they get bend to a special point its trigger the airbags.

This won’t be implemented and isn’t worth doing so as it‘s hard to make it collide well at all. The radiator as a trigger also isn’t a good idea as cars have more sensors than that..
Yeah, but Wich part would be a got trigger for that, the front bumber never. Because when you drive at 10 km/h the frontbumber naturally dents and the airbags deploy at low speed and that would be wrong

then you need the uv for the cars, skin helper which is a repo mod is good
