meshslapping = slapping a new mesh (3d model) onto the jbeam of an exisiting car, so just changing the looks of a car to another car, without changing anything to the mechanicals or the deformation skeleton

and in the bumpers .jbeam, you would need to add a slot that allows you to select the headlights ingame, and then in the headlights' .jbeam you would need beams that physically connect it to the bumper

you can download mods from other websites, but it is not recommended, since other website may contain low quality/broken/stolen mods and virussen
basically the 3 recommended sources are
- the ingame repository (my favourite, since it allowed easy updating of mods)

- the official beamng forums (https://www.beamng.com/forums/)

If the model is unwrapped making the skin shouldn't be a problem (there are many tutorials available). And about lightbar you can always copy it from another car which is a simple job as well

Did you make sure the compression setting you used were BC7, sRGB, DC 11+? Using other compression settings can mess up the way textures look in-game (sometimes)

the grand marshall is a dev car included with the game....The Bastion is similar to the Charger, there's a V6, a 5.7L V8, and also a 6.5L V8 that can be supercharged to over 800hp

All of that combined to the fact it takes months to make a vehicle from scratch lol
That Im aware of, but I mean now theres that update that did the soft suspension on the dune cars, well its pretty similar to SXS actually.
So for suspension of it, it should mostly be taken care of by just using the asset from one of the new cars
Yeah the new bypass suspension systems are pretty cool
Doubt you'd be able to adapt that to fit a SXS realistically though
though I cant say too much about how easy it is, it took me 5 months of adjusting my suspension before It got to where I liked it

not saying someone should just do a reskin on it, but again its pretty similar to one, could prob even take the jbeam and modify it to fit on a sxs model

Thats just the early unlimited class version, aka chassis 010. For the later truck, which was chassis 015, I put a feeler out for a professional modeler to commission. Interviewing atm but if anyone here wants to get on board, Iβd be happy to share my project research paper
For the Forza model to work, it would need a finished tube frame, whole complete engine, the missing side plating, and some front end work done
A few times, Iβve considered cancelling the project due to being too ambitious, but I wonβt give up. If it takes multiple years, Iβll see this through. Forza Horizon honestly was a missed opportunity to fully appreciate the most winning trophy truck of all time and with Beams better physics, it would probably drive much better
In 1990 the truck pretty much swept all the events that year and won the championships. It happened again in 1993 where they not only won overall but beat out the motorcycles. Even up to 1995-96 the truck still managed to win against V8s and V10s as a little V6. That changed in 1997 when they brought in the V8 engine. Weighed a bit less than the V6 and put out nearly twice the horsepower, peaking at 575-580. They won that years Baja 500, then on to 1998 when they just kept winning until the team and driver retired in 2000

So I done gone and goofed. If anybody is using the Monster Truck tires mod made by me and are getting errors about the Prerunner meshes, it's because I left files in that overwrote those. I will have an update in ASAP to address that

Hey guys, got a question about world creation. How did they make the sidewalks on some maps? Are they modeled through an external program or in the world editor itself?
Modeled in blender, and exported as .dae
In the world editor the list on the left side of the screen should show a bunch of .dae files for things like sidewalks, buildings, etc. (At least in existing maps)

The problem is that it (beam) uses the dynamic reflections system, so the car you're driving cannot be shown in the mirrors. To do that we would need a complete other system.

I was going to port them but i thought the sound samples sounded too weak.

You must default it then because zonda r modder might have made numbers for old blends.
defaulting clears the sound up alot in many cases.
Most of the time i use default with 20000 high shelf freq
and only touch volume and offload gain
20000 usually brings in a few unwanted high pitched noises

i would say all through
engine samples and exhaust samples are not lined up correctly as in one of them are at wrong rpms in blend files or both
but its not by much but enough to sound bit odd

having a sound recorded at 4000 and you write 3000 will make engine have more deeper unrealistic tone (worse)
