The devs in that sense tried you approach as seen in the old campaign tab BTW. it was quite boring to be forced into a strict path instead of deciding I wish to build a racing car. What I think would help is adding like store clerks or a form of Manager you can hire that reports back job inquirys or new race events if thats the path chosen by the player, this seems to align with the current approach by the devs aswell so in that sense im glad they have just as bad project swap ADHD as me
