The main problem with Beamng is force feedback and the fact that due to the outdated tire model, you don't feel the car's skid point, and it happens suddenly, which doesn't happen in real life, because for a short moment beforehand, you can feel like your rear axle is about to skid. I speak as someone who has played 2,000 hours of AC and 2,000 hours of Beamng.

Yes you have to put the tires on, I use boht for variety but thats it. They are both really good feel wise, i would get Luxs thermal mod as well to simulate heat.

oh boy i use an assortment lol, i self tune just with my own knowledge and basically how i dialed my irl but for mods i literally use a chassis i like which in this case is the e36 then the two tire mods i sent. I dont use any special drift suspensions except on the BX sometimes where i use the drift pack

My mods mostly consist of cars i like, otherwise i just go out and drift

With every car there’s a balance point you must find with the wheel. You are overshooting and undershooting that point a ton. You’ll be able to feel and see it once you’re in the drift. For now i would increase speed, manage throttle input a little better and clutch kick to start.

Engine doesn’t matter too much i would say, i like to use engines with more horsepower over torque because torque can over spin your wheels real easy and make you spin early. I would just pick a car you like, or if you don’t know then grab the BX and throw some basic mods on there and start drifting lol

also you don’t have to use drift tires, they can be really slippery for a beginner who doesn’t have super good input control.

Even today, we still have the good old, super classic thing I call LED technology. Even before halogen was simulated, it wasn't. For example, the Burnside Special had unsimulated halogen headlights, but since they've been simulated, the Special has had its own simulated halogen headlights. The only thing that still isn't simulated is xenon.
