There can be many reasons for rough feeling, but when setup properly I can get it smooth and responsive. Motor firmware/ motor settings are the biggest culprit. Update rate in BeamNG is another. I reccomend having smoothing at the default 150 in game and then change per car with the smoothing key binding. This will keep secondary smoothing at 400

The main issue with keeping a new AND an old UI in games is that whenever the devs wanna add something to it, they basically have to do double the work because they have to account for both the old and new one. Thats why most games dont have an option to bring back their old UI.
