I've merged a dry van trailer and a dolly, added a front axle slot, so that it's a full trailer with a pintle tongue.
It spawns with brakes disengaged, and brakes doesn't work at all - neither when attached to a semi nor any other time.
How do I debug this the easiest way, what files am I looking in, is it jbeam based?

hi guys, im pretts new to beamng modding. i found my dream car, but the mod is more or less shitty made (mesh and some funny errors) but ive spend some hours to fix it. now i noticed a strange problem, when i adjust the rear trackoffset in the tuning menu (give it a lower number, to get the 2 wheels closer underneath the car) the left wheel is normal and the right wheel gets a positve camber (only with trackoffset adjusting). can somebody explain why this is happening?

I think the „picnic pushbar” model name should have „_” instead of space and you need to change the name also in blender

I'm so frustrated with this. I've been trying to learn how to do this for ages. If I want to set up a multipaintsetup in my info file, what else do I need to do, to get this to work?
it shows up properly in the pain picker, but throws errors, and does the default paint when it spawns
oh, all the paints are custom in the "paints":{ section
this is so frustrating. I can see them here, with options for defaultpaint1 stuff, and the multipaints, but they all come out as some kind of default that I can't seem to figure out where it's coming from
so I do believe that I have it right, but it's just not spawning with the right colours. I've even restarted to no avail. I've tested other cars, and they seem fine. I can also manually change my colours, but I don't see my multi colours showing up here
okay, I'm starting to think that there's more to this mystery. I put in a default paints to spawn from, but it'll only ever come out in the colour that the config was made with (tested multiple configs, and it always defaults to the colour config that it was made with).
What could be causing this? (I'm on linux, but I've used native, and proton with the same results)
omfg the .pc file was overwriting it, even though I had defined all this stuff in the info files -_-
configs should never contain paints, custom category will also not get applied
configs or iirc their info files should be the ones having the name of the paint and all the paints are defined in the main info.json
Hey, I wanted to make my own skins for the sunburst, but it hasn't been working. I was hoping someone could help me through the process. I've been following tutorials and looking at game files to help, but it still isn't working. The skin shows up in game, but when I click on it, all I get is a default color. The files I'm working with are attached below. Any help would be much appreciated.
in the jbeam file change globalSkin to octaviaone as that is what you have the material mapped to

you need to make one without the uv map in the background
so how skins works it it takes the image you give it and wraps everything around the car if that makes sense

the uv map is the wire frame so keep that on a seperate layer then hide it before exporting
um assuming whatever ur using has those functions

i do have gimp though, should i just use that?
oh for canva i think you need to just delete the uv map layer since iirc theres no way to hide layers

its a character called octavia, so im probably do a lot of purple, black, and astronomy stuff

guys, how to put rollcage and flags on the back of my monster truck?
i already have some existing rollcage and flags models from my other truck and wanting to put it into my other truck
im currently in uv mapping hell 😭 the livery editor works fine but due to the fact that you cant paint parts of the car i cant exactly just slap on texture images (since it's a b/w police car)
wish it didnt feel impossible to make it either, since it's fundamentally not that hard

The livery editor is super funky-whacky in UI departament. You can try resizing and stretching the game in windowed mode and the bottom part and maybe it come back.

You can try the MD, i had the D-Series and Roamer Off-road config before, but i don't have them anymore

I've been redoing a lot of stuff on it for private use, suspension is still no where near the game, but its gonna have way bigger coilovers, rear 4link will get some even more extreme triangulation, etc etc. It won't be public, as I've stopped releasing mods, but I guess some people could have access if they want

How to install a config file? Go to whatever car the config file is for (if you got this from somebody they probably told you) but if they didn’t you can open it in notepad and see what vehicle it relates to. Then spawn in the same vehicle, go in parts config, in the parts menu on the top tab you should see “save and load” go in there, then bottom corner of the same tab it should say “open config folder” then paste the .pc you have in there

I can model it but not sure about like what files I'm pulling into blender, like general asset rules including like for the render surface if I was going to project a ui element on it, etc.
