I currently have a 2023 BMW M340i xDrive which is black on black (shown in the last image), with a couple mods installed already. I'm looking into a custom brake lights and am deciding if I should get the clear smoked brake lights or regular gts style brake lights (images 1 and 2). The 3rd image is my vision of the build although it is the pre-lci model g20 but I find that look very clean (@g20tav on insta). However another thing to note is i have the custom rear diffuser with the f1 tail light in the middle that might ruin the clear smoked tail lights if I get them. I'm interested in all your ideas so let me know what you guys think or dm me with other ideas too

Most you will find are automatics and not Z24's. Mine is pretty rare because it is a manual Z24 and an '86.

They go for between $3 and $10k depending on transmission and the time of year.

the Gen 1 base cars are pretty rare, too. they are around 2k-4k typically when you find them. Again very few are manual. They weigh about 1050KG (2300 lbs) and only have 2.0L 4clinders( about 85 HP). My Z24 is the "performance package" (120HP, 1150KG, 2.8L V6).

Check Facebook, they pop up from time to time. And you really can't the automatic robs about 25HP from the engine. I think a Lada 2103 is faster than the 2.0 4 cyinders in the base cars. The engines in those base cars are dead nuts reliable though, they are neigh unkillable so long as it has oil.

There are cars with 600k miles on them in my FB group. The bodies are paper thin - it is the rust that gets them. Cash for clunker got rid of the bulk...

GM made the cheapest, slowest 3 speed they could put in. You basically have to manually shift them if you want any kinda performance, even then it's like 1.2-1.5 seconds for it to shift after dropping it into one of the manual gears.

I can shift my manual with it's high engagement point clutch in about a quarter that time if I am trying.

Both engines are really reliable - you just have to keep oil in them and not rev them to the moon because they are push rod 60's engine technology. Well except the V6 in mine is Muti Port Fuel Injected and not carbureted like the 2.0 4cyl.
