However you do require an a account (its free), capped download speeds and they have a ton on controversy atm for shadow bans, false bans and favoritism, also some political stuff that not worth my time.

@simple karma , so technically the game has a predecessor called rigs of rods, it all started from there if you wanna check it out.

The beamng studio is pretty small, yet they don't just make beamng they also work with large companies to contribute to self driving and driving simulations too so a LOT of stuff has to be up to standards, it's all on the beamng GmbH site.

Every feature added to beamng has a shit ton of research done before it's added, the game works very different to any other game because of the softbody physics and it needing to be as close to real life as possible, so research to in-game could genuinely take a long time because of how complex the game is.

The game engine itself is also at this point beamng's own, and it constantly needs changes for new things to work etc

Basically the game needs a lot of research and is also used as a simulation for actual large companies

its just that it would add extra weight to a car since windshields are 99% of the time reusing roof, a-pillar and firewall nodes with one node for the actual glass surface

all glass jbeams do is make sure the nodes are positioned right for the shape and give beams for the center node (and a breakgroup so windshield can go smashy)

Sometimes the clutch or any pedal is reversed so if you push the breakpedal to max for the game its 0% and no pushing is -100% for the game, you can go to settings and reverse the pedals and then it should work.
