Problem is that mod textures can override vanilla textures and have priority. So if you have the same textures in a mod as in a vanilla thing, mod cache will override vanilla cache.
As for png, modders should use dds in a finished mod, png is temporary, but they often forget

But when I disable some mod with some textures, what happens with cache for that texture? Is it just exists, or trying to generate again, or?
One thing I noticed with simplified AI traffic is it always spawns with the same engine sound per car - for instance all bastions use the 5.7 Sport engine sound, even the V6 trims! Same goes for cars like the LeGran which iirc all use the I4 sound, and the ETK 800/kseries which all use the 4 cylinder sound iirc
Would it be possible to make it so the sound is actually what it should be for the trim, or is that an inherent issue with the simplified traffic?

They are meant to be simplified so yeah no separate engine sounds for them
Maybe would be better just change that behavour? Just calculate a hash of the current texture and generate new cache if it is not matches. It will fix almost any cache related issues.
I've had this issue for a few days, it does this on all types of ramps that you should be able to drive onto - t series, d series, mods like the gooseneck car hauler and anything else that has a ramp, any ideas? There's a bug where if you are in a police chase as a debug model, and enter a car in the middle of a police chase, you immediately get ticketed.
if you rip off the dually rear wheel (heavy duty 8 lug) of the h series (idk if it happenes on the d series?) the rear diff will act as if the disconnected end have a constant rpm of 0, which allows open rear diff to drive its remaining one wheel, or lock up the remaining one wheel when using the welded diff

RDNA1&2 + Vulkan is still a cursed combo on ETK Driver Experience and possibly other maps. Same issues as before with the same errors, GPU drivers are up to date. I do want to add that when this happens, I usually close the game with SuperF4 as attempting with anything else leads to an entire system hang, as reflected by OBS reporting dropped frames.
happy to say that Gridmap V2 is playable again, something about the update made its problem area go away at skycurves, just needs to be done to the ETK map and wherever else i can find this bug

25 FPS on vulkan
(I can't give a video as i don't use video software) Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but, for some reason, while I'm trying to play using "arcade gearbox" mode, the game keeps switching me to "Realistic" mode mid-cruise causing the car to default back to first gear and over-rev.
Same thing happened to me, I fixed it by tabbing in and out of the game a couple of times

Speaking of the Miramar, I think the steering of the normal front suspension is bugged, the car will pull to one side even when the steering wheel is centered. The wide track front suspension does not have this problem

If you're operating a police cruiser with AI traffic, the UI will report that a "simplified Traffic Vehicle" is fleeing from you, without specifying which one. I am unable to capture a screenshot since the notification disappears once you pause the gameplay or open a new window

I cant take trailer delivery's in career mode
there are no mission showing in campaign mode

MD-series' has final drives called "Front rear". This suggests that there is a config with more than 1 rear axel (when there isn't). Meanwhile, the naming for the race final drive does not use this naming scheme and just called it "rear".

Something changed with the sound I4_4_engine. When it's used in my simple traffic config of the mod I'm working on, it works, but when I use it in the normal configs, it fails to load with this error

Hey, for some reason the Vulkan API gives me 150-200 fps in low graphics mode but as soon as I switch to normal graphics FPS are dropping to around 5. With DirectX I am getting 60 fps in Ultra. I've noticed that my VRAM maxes out in Vulkan though.

I think it's just an optimization issue of vulkan because directx runs just fine
im putting my graphics settings back how they where, (they changed after the update idk) and sometime i just change one setting and my entire pc freezes and i have to end the process, never done this before, and i defo have a good enough pc.

When i spawn traffic those police cars show up and litteraly do nothing??
New update is absolutely awesome and what you guys did to optimize traffic works incredibly well. But allowing us to spawn so many more parked cars without a big performance leads to issues like this 😅 AI can't see that there are street parked cars and they tend to run into them quire a bit. There's no audio in the video but the roamer that hit the cars didn't even attempt to brake, the engine was revved
In my opinion, the performance has really tanked with this update. The crash behavior of the new truck isn’t good either. The passive steering axle is more of a decoration than actually functional – it flutters wildly with every touch and doesn’t even adjust to the angle in sharp turns. This happens regardless of the load.
Also, the AI seems to behave worse with every update. It feels faster now, but what’s the point if the AI only reacts or brakes half-heartedly? It should be making full use of its potential, like performing emergency braking and similar actions.
The Gavril MD-Series steering system/front axle seems rather bendy for a heavy-duty frame and moves a bit sluggish when steered to max angle
Yes, I’ve noticed that too. I also find that the truck has a slight tendency to pull to the right.
It's not floppy, just has a lot of bump steer due to its design
It will pull slightly to one side on the other when loaded or unloaded which is another characteristic of this suspension
None of this is a game bug but rather these are design limitations of the truck, a real truck with this suspension would have same issues

Is it really that extreme with this axle in real life? I didn’t know that. But it’s hard to tell. It really looks broken, though. Maybe it’s more exaggerated in-game than in real life, possibly due to the difference in tire grip between the game and reality.
I understand that the truck’s frame is very heavy-duty, but it shouldn’t bounce off so much when you crash into a wall. I’m aware: heavy-duty, big truck, less soft body, less crumple zone. But my first reaction was, 'Oh, what’s that? Is that how it’s supposed to be?

I’ve reported this issue quite a bit ago a few times now and it still happens even on a newly released vehicle. When I load save file of a condition it opens all doors and won’t allow them to close. Please I beg for this issue to be fixed I used this feature a lot and it’s really annoying to have to use nodes to close the doors

just found out turning to hard with negative offset makes them fall off too

On Quarterway enduro during the maga-grip lightrunner section there is a spot too thin to fit anything but a pigeon through, even on the 200bx which is suggested you can't make it.
These show close to the start line on West Coast USA -> Long Race Circuit 2; Disabled all mods and cleared the temp dir to verify, and it's still here. If I recall correctly, it's been here for a while, but I thought it's my mods
Oh, and tires on the very same stage seem to have no collisions too

ah, guess it was a mod or something i forgot about, deleting the file fixed it
attempted to verify the integrity of the files but the issue persists
me and a friend are also unable to spawn any vehicles
opening the hood on the new truck is weird, there`s a unnecessary hood release in the cab and if you when you open the hood, the latch that you use to close it is the only one that latches and the other one is still open despite the hood being closed. Clicking the open latch does not close it.
trying to open the game with the vulkan renderer also instantly crashes it
also the piston looks funny if you overextend it
Attempting to open the settings menu after loading into a map causes the game to be unresponsive. There has never been a full crash with report. The game sometimes appears to reload the graphics. The settings menu works fine on a frash launch before loading a map.

Make sure you don't have any mods on that. Could break it if you don't verify your files. I had to do the same thing because the d series was broken for me.

Not sure if it’s a bug or not, but the brake bias on the new truck is heavily biased towards the rear
Even when loaded, the rear wheel lock up very easily which makes it difficult to stop/slow down
My game is getting errors after the 0.33 update. The cars i tested was my modified Pessima, a ETK, The default truck and the Civetta, which all didnt work. I turned off, deleted mods and ran safe mode, but no matter what, my cars dont drive, dont have a speedometer, and i cant even turn the car, and turn on the vehicles

MD-Series bumper chicken lights don't show the actual light mesh, just the glass + the props not being aligned with their respective meshes. And the rollup door on the Dry Van Upfit takes slight damage upon being opened.

yeah same here about a minute in or about 30 seconds in and i have 9 ai cars spawned and 4-6 ai parked cars and instant bam it seems to be persistent in certain areas only

I am in safe mode as with any new update. For what ever reason i get huge performence drop with the new update. Like 20-55 FPS depending on situation. That is not normal and doesn't matter if traffic on or not. I have a GTX 1080Ti with AMD Ryzen 7 1800x and 32GB of RAM on Windows 11. Normally if i play (on DirectX) with just one vehicle i get like 200FPS. Also, traffic cars don't cast light at night for me. If i just spawn with standard car at West Coast USA. I get 55 FPS at max. No traffic. Nothing. While driving it's around 42FPS.
On the other hand there is still the issue that i can't use the vehicle triggers with my Xbox 360 Controller because it's like in mouse detection mode all the time. It doesn't act like i am playing with controller. I already reported this earlier and i also tried a different clean profile, like my clean user folder for BeamMP where only BeamMP is the only mod.

In the changelog there was something mentioned about the game no longer uses the highest priority when it runs. I wonder if that's the reason. But idk how i can change that since the last time used that was during Windows XP times and Windows 11 task manager is totally different and only have a energy saving option as it seems where i expected to have a priority option

Well i guess many of these reports that are obvious, may not get patched with a hotfix but added to a to do list since require way more man power then what the time frame of hot fix schedule could offer
Supercharger sounds are atrocious, I fixed that in the main lua (Denied on the site because the mod overwrites the main lua (It's supposed to), The rotation tool on the prop transformer in the vehicle editor is really buggy and doesn't let you look a certain way to rotate on the axis you're looking from, the sky box tool doesn't save when you reload said level... Those are just a few of my ignored suggestions

I fixed it. SimHub file in "BeamNG.drive\lua\vehicle\extensions\auto" causes this error, deleting this file fixes the issue

Hey I got 2 right here! First video is where the transfercase is disconnected yet, it still spins when tthe engine revs.. and 2, if you brake while going above 20 you can plop your driveshaft off, its made of paper

I’m having an issue where the terrain textures appear misaligned. The grass texture is spilling onto the dirt road, and the dirt road texture is showing up under the grass on the other side.

Despite using 0.33 with the Beta Vulkan renderer, my FPS seem to be jumping between 30 - 190 FPS from FPS counter update to update. The max FPS do be around 200, with the lowest being ~30, but it absolutely does not feel like that.

I'm fully aware that "beta" by no means guarantees stability, just found this to be weird behavior potentially caused by a misconfiguration on my part - which should ideally not be a problem in a beta version

I found the solution to my problem. I deleted all my game files. Not the ones you find in Appdata but the basic game files. I deleted them and then checked my files on steam. Then it downloaded some stuff yada yada but now it works!!

Why are the checkpoint times not recorded when I do a time trial from the main menu? This has been happening for a long while, not just after this update.

idk what it is but after a certain ammount of playtime my 1% low drop significantly so that my main fps go from 80-100 to 30-50 with heavy stutters
I see, so that explains why most of the traffic cars I spawned in moments ago were modded cars. The simple versions of those remain connected to the actual mods.
In fact, ALL of the cars that spawned when I turned on traffic earlier were mods. All except one, that is, a single D-Series truck.
I guess that means that you should find some cool mods to make the traffic more interesting and exotic that what it should have been 😉

When I try to tune for example the Bastions suspention, it resets every time I press Apply. I tried to make a stanced Bastion and when I had lowered the suspention and adjusted the Camber. It just resets so its the normal race setup.

When repositioning the fifth wheel on the Gavril T-Series, upon locking the sliding mechanism, a shockwave is sent through the vehicle(s), causing damage to them
Gavril MD-Series "open" differential can be locked, even though there is a separate locking differential option available
I had that issue aswell, it caused any vehicle spawned to be inoperable. I validated with steam and it didnt fix it due to finding no issues, but then i validated with the game launcher, it showed that same missing file, and it was fine after.

When using the Airbag Tandem Rear Suspension, the individual Rear Differential Lock icon does not appear on the powertrain UI. The interaxle locker does NOT affect the Rear Differential locks as seen in the 4th image where I manually selected it with the mouse and not the Alt + D key bind. The third photo shows me deselecting the interaxle locker manually after using the Alt + D key bind, which causes the center lock to un-sync from the rear differentials.
(Removing the interaxle does not cause the Rear differentials to reappear. I have no mods activated)

bx: why not add a different skidplate slot for the tubular front frame without that skidplate? I understand why skidplate slot moved to the radsupport, but different slot names should also fix that visual issue and also will increase modding potential.

Im not sure if its just a me issue but the Gavril MB has a glitch where the driveshafts are extremely fragile. Any time I will shift and/or brake the driveshafts will just shatter making the whole truck useless. Sometimes ill be popping it in gear and before the truck even starts moving the driveshafts shatter.
I have a bug where when I spawn in the map my car immediately catches on fire and if i spawn another car it still catches fire, mods disabled or enabled doesnt change a thing, does anyone have a fix for this?
Try running the game in safe mode

mount wallis drift does not load, reloading UI and then Lua lets you out of loading but the mission is unplayable atm

I Noticed classic cars spawn at the classic car dealer in East Coast USA. However I did notice a Bastion does spawn, this could be a mistake as there is a Bastion and a Burnside, both starting with B and only one being a classic. So I'm asking if it's intentional or not?

Still constant crashes when utilizing VR. After enabling VR on 0.33 the game crashes after about 3-4 minutes of usage! Crash report sent in(However i would like to know where the crash report is stored locally so i can try to troubleshoot the issue myself)
Vulkan was more stable in 0.32.
In 0.33 when I’m using cars that have png textures and the game imports them it stops responding. Sometimes that happens when joining a map too.
My gpu is the amd Radeon rx6600m. I’m using the newest drivers.
In 0.32 all of this didn’t happen, Vulkan was working perfectly.
I don’t have an error code.
And the console ends with importing textures.
tbf cars should not use PNG textures as far as I am aware. DDS should be what they are set to

seems like after updating to 0.33, launching the game through vulkan just crashes the game, and when i tried to validate it through steam i didn't need to download any files but when i validated the files through the launcher it says i have 1 dependencies missing which is vcruntime140_1.dll, but i already have it and tried to reinstall it, but it still is crashing
I have the same issue 0.32 was fine and the 0.33 keeps crashing.
I tried clean instal, erasing the user folder, changing my OpenXR protocol nothing works.
Do we know if they are aware of this issue ?
I'm not a dev but maybe try downloading the 64bit version of that dll it wants, then put it in the same directory as beamng x64, should be somewhere in the bin folder?

I know, but if you are working on a mod it’s easier to use png textures. I haven’t updated every texture of my mod to dds yet.
In 0.32 it was working completely fine.

Since I get 20 fps more in Vulkan mode I prefer using it.
But when testing and making changes to the textures I have to restart the game.

pretty sure this is a game problem, ive tryed deactivating mods, so bascially after this update my fps has been dropping to 15fps and just staying at low fps. before this update i could literaly run 150+ mods steadily on 50-60 fps. im on 40 mods rn and should be at 60-80fps
it is a mod issue, i had the same problem, i disabled kljp and any mod that requires it and my issues were gone

i have the same problem with traffic, but its not a mod car but legran police and sunburst police
the police ai on WCUSA seems to be way worse at actually trying to catch you, they stick to their path and only for a second maybe veer to stop you but then after they dont stop just keep going like a normal traffic ai with their sirens still on, and they wont turn around like they could before anymore to chase you
there's no way any car can fit around that corner.

The new thumbnail creator creates thumbnails that has less resolution and the camera is shifted, in 0.32 and before, the thumbnail creator made the custom configs' thumbnails look similar to the base configs

this game has tires made of nodes beams and tris, rims and wheels share the same nodes in the center edge so either the tire decides to go wee and not make off in chunks or the rim disintegrates, the stretching is due to the nodes pullign the mesh so far apart it looks broken
IF I go further I just fall to void

dude i know how this game works, part of the mesh stays bc the tire is parented to the outer tire nodes and the inner tirenodes (which are the rim nodes too)
Not all vehicles have ABS
rims will also explode since theyre not as strong and structural as real rims are, remember his is a game and all games have limits(this one alsop simulates centrifugal force so the nodes basically have like a huge amount of force and the bewams cant handle it so they snap)+all car rims and tires do this at speeds theyre not meant to go
i think they meant the mesh triangles that get stretched all over the world
i explained that above, its bc the nodes get fucked at extremely high speed and theyre light + have little drag
they crate a invisble nudes too
that explain why it stretch, but i think they simply want the triangles to be gone
mesh breaking is enabled but i suppose the way a rim and tire break apart sometimes doest trigger the system to delete those parts of the mesh

unless you run the physics at crazy ass speed (its already like 2000 times/s) it wont get fixed i dont think, just call it a feature

it has to be since thats how often breakgroups (and mesh breaks) are checked
you realize the deranged mesh lasts longer then 1/2000 sec after the beams and triangles are broken, right
the issue is the mesh breaking don’t think that bit of the mesh needs to be deleted, no matter how long time u give it it just gonna think that way

if it skips the step where the beam breaks the mesh wont ever again break, since the beam is broken but no mesh break was triggered somehow

Just took this cargo all the way to the construction site just for the interface to break and refuse to accept it. (I don't have a screenshot of that sadly)
Then after I saved with my cargo still in the car and restarted the game it automatically canceled the transport and fined me 136$.

on the MD-series, the flatbed for the longbed frame has unsymetrical attatch beams (md_series_flatbed.jbeam). The last 4 or 6 of all these are only connecting to the right frame nodes. Also they all wrongly connect to mf1r / mf1l instead of their own bottom frame node

I can't interact with doors/hoods/etc. Green highlight is not appearing, clicking on the latches/handles doesn't do anything. Tried to completely erase the game from my PC and install again - no result. Am I missing something?

[ISSUE + POTENTIAL SOLUTION]
The browser UI is pretty neat on smartphones but it gets cut off even though there are useless elements taking up valuable screen real estate, like the OS status bar, browser address bar (and navigation bar for devices not using gestures), which browsers don't hide unless the page explicitly requests it so to fix this, there should be a fullscreen button (since user interaction and HTTPS required because reasons) in the browser UI like this one which is basically:

Hey, I noticed this bug while playing today… I’m sure it’s probably already been reported, but here’s what I noticed:
When I pop/destroy the outer rear dually tires on the MD-70, at least the Bar Grip style ones (see first screenshot), the speedometer goes absolutely bonkers and starts reading up to and well over 30,000 miles per hour (see second screenshot) after some time driving. The configuration of the MD series does not seem to matter other than at least the Bar Grip tires, and the speedometer reads those miles, meaning I was getting about a thousand miles per speedometer display update.
It appears that this bug appears in all wheel/tire configs of the MD-70, as well as many of the configs in the T-Series.

Game dosen't launch when i clcik launch nor does it launch in safe mode.
Traffic is running on red instead of green, cars from the left lane move into the right lane.
I don't have a picture right now, but when I go into freeroam as a cop and spawn in ai, if im using simplified traffic and i get given a suspect it doesn't give me the actual car it just says "Simplified Traffic Vehicle" which in loads of traffic it makes it difficult

When there is a mesh_road or water on the otherside of the road, it will dissapear. this is very irritating for map making on the coast

After spawning an automation car the loading icon doesn't go away and all UI's freeze over. I'm able to drive the car like nothing is wrong though, on Vulkan launcher I'm able to spawn 4 automation cars before the same bug occurs. It happens with all automation cars I have, nothing specific.
