When pulling off the Wigeons wheel in the nodegrabber, the center of the wheel behind it is see-through.
SP Dunekicker sinks into a bridge on the Utah map
I'm not really sure that this is a bug because the driver camera is I think attached with the cockpit but, when we go through the barrier (2nd picture) on the gridmap with some speed the camera is blocked but the car is still going. I tested with multiple cars and it's the same with every cars
On the Gavril Bluebuck, there is a collision between the rear and front doors, when the rear one is open and the front one is closed.
This is strange, I'm actually playing on safe mode and my game is a window, and the width of it is perfectly arrange so that when I change my "cursor" from config to config, the size of the the area where the configs are showing is being scale up and down each time I change the cursor (we can slightly see the corners highlighted on orange are bigger or skinnier) I also took a screenshot of my screen (a 2560 x 1080, 16:10 I think) and the window of the game and I also don't know the exact size of the window so
On east cost USA, at this particular point on the map (picture 3 and 4) there's the vegetation being a little bit on the road, plus, it levitate a little
On the same map, I found at that this house is clearly placed strangely and by looking under the ground, we can see that, like the other houses, you let a lot of it inside the ground. It maybe is normal, and I apologies if it is but personally I think it looks strange (and yes, I find a lot of "bugs")

So hum yeah I found a lot of weird things going on this map but yes, I know this map is now multiple years old and that for the vegetation the game engine is acting like that. I found way more stuff like these because I'm someone that look (too) much for these type of details. But yeah, when you'll be remaking this whole map, please give just a little bit more love that when you created it years ago. I'll let this map for now and move to another one 🏃

I don't have the game opened to demonstrate it, but if you equip door mirrors on Ibishu Miramar (by default it comes only with fender mirrors), it will cause the window to shatter when you open the front doors that have those mirrors on. I tested if it was a cause of mods and it wasn't the fault of mods.

The FPU Wydra has major problems with the clutch burning out on asphalt and other surfaces during turning.

is it a bug or a feature that too fast crashes cause it to reset and pause the game
200-300mph seems to be the limit, after that you will probably encounter lot of bugs, probably game engine limit

Why do horns work when ignition is off? does not apply to lights or popups or turn signals
Thats not the case on my real life cars. if the ignition is off, the horn does not work in my 190E or my Golf MK2, so at least older cars should not have that in game.
its called stilts and them going into the groud is what we in germany call a "solid foundation" so that the houses don't blow away like the wolf did in some fairy tale.

In most cars, horns, lights and many other things work with the ignition off.
the break lights and hazard lights also don't work when the ignition is off (in beamng)

And like I said, my two cars and the one I sold did not have a working horn. Break lights and hazards worked on all of them. Unlike beamNG.
@silent granite I mentioned how it is in real life. No need to tell me. Anyway, as @buoyant blaze mentioned, there still is something off about it, even if most cars feature a working horn (nice when you have children or dogs in the car...)
From my experience, ones I've used honk even if there's no ignition. Have they changed it with some brads maybe as I drove a landrover
Yeah, they do need to update the electrics a bit. I ended up changing that since it felt odd to me.
I find that when a car like civetta splits, the front lights shouldn't work as the battery is jn the back or if its in the front the back lights shouldn't work

Hello ! I have a bug to report. (Tested in Safe Mode)
(I have honestly no idea if it is known/fixed for the next update), but have seen mentions of somewhat similar problems
I experience this weird and frustrating bug (quite often) where loading a custom configuration might not always apply its paint correctly.
It can happen at seemingly random and is somewhat inconsistent (ways to trigger it, as well as the outcomes)
-How to hopefully trigger the bug:
- Make a custom configuration with colors of your choice made with the paint editor (be it metallic/chrome or mat).
- Save the configuration.
- Load the configuration back, through the car selector or the save-and-load tab.
- Change any part through the parts selector.
- Bug should take effect.
(Edit: Less consistent technic: changing 1 color on a "bugged config" might also alter the others)
If the bug doesn't show up at first try making multiple configs on different vehicles (and maybe remove/replace/swap vehicles with others before loading your custom configs). Took me about 4 tries here.
Results:
- (If the bug is triggered) You will notice after changing any part some of the colors will loose their metallic/chrome/mat aspect and change to a simple "default" gloss-like tint.
Precisions:
- In this example in Safe Mode, only Color 2 and Color 3 were affected, but I had rarer instances of Color 1 being altered too I think (albeit only experienced with a modded game as of now)
- Reloading with CTRL + R doesn't seem to trigger it like changing parts does
- I've seen mentions once of some colors not saving correctly, but here paints used on bugged-configs will not necessarily trigger this bug on different cars
- Can confirm I am not the only one to have this bug
(The color choice was random and merely for testing purposes, just to illustrate my point) (and yeah it's ugly)
The thumbnail generator tool in the showroom causes the game to smoke some of walter's product after being used.
As in everything becomes 2x faster than it should be.
I tested this both in normal game mode, safe mode and the vulkan renderer as well which happens on all 3.
Its a fun glitch ngl because its so silly to watch but it would also be nice to be fixed

I've encountered this type of thing for quite a lot of poles in the game, and I think it's probably just a "feature" of the jbeam system

Mod Repo => Download, then while downloading, minimize the game and intract w/ other program/application
afterwards, it should give a erorr "Mod cannot be download" or something like this but the mod is shown as subscribed???

This is because objects on a map only collide with nodes, so on your first run, it passed through the gap between a row of nodes on the hood and hit a node in the engine bay, and on the second run it hit some nodes in the middle of the front of the car
Now, if these map objects could collide with the collision triangles of any vehicle, then the collision would be consistent
dunno if this is the channel where i report bugs with meshes but bastion gear lever cloth is acting weird

That's because solid axles can move laterally and/or twist/roll when also moving vertically.
oh ok and there is a solution to prevent that or we just can't increase the height with solid axles ?
You can adjust the trackbar (axle position) in the tuning menu.
Take a bit of time tho

That's how solid axle suspension is, but yeah, it would be nice if Beam had more options to keep the axles straight. The lack of Watt's links, and additional bracing for solid axles (especially front axles) kind of sucks.

The Bluebuck's console automatic shifters are bugged. The non Sport one, has 6 positions (PRND21) when it should have only 5 (PRND1). The Sport one, not only has 6 positions too, the shifter doesn't move, because the Prop coding is wrong (the function should be "gearModeIndex", but there is something really wrong there instead, that I can't show, because I already fixed it on my copy)
line for parking space on West Coast USA map is slightly floating and actually causes a bump when cars drive over it

The game wont launch after initializing the computer. I had been redownload and checked file integrity of the game for many times and it shows that all the files are good. No mods, but it still doesnt work.

already reported earlier The manual shifter, and the transfer case shifter on the D-Series have some collision issues if the truck is in second gear, and 2 wheel drive.
Not sure if this has been reported yet, and its not a big issue, but a noticeable one with all current BeamNG vehicles including mods.
Within the "Vehicle controller" segment in the [insert all cars] engine game files, the clutchlaunchstart and clutchlaunchtarget rpm values are too low, making the car fluctuate between stalling and idle rpm's when setting off, this also gives a higher chance of damaging gears for controller or keyboard players. Changing these values from 1500 to 2500 makes the car move off much smoother, as in real life. Would like this to be fixed quickly as it is a minor issue, thanks.
Hi devs, I got a bug where the rear license plate is shaking wildently (atleast on the sentilla). I have checket on all rear fascia, license plate and EU . On all configs the licens plate will still shake wildently, even with the engine turned off. I don't know if its the same on some other vehicles.
Lines on road are bumps, not enough that you can feel them irl, but shouldn't be floating enough to make the whole car lift up
this curb still acts like a wall when you hit it from this angle. On Utah. Zenith ride height isnt that low i think.
ai traffic vehicles have a very loud tire noise - it seems as though the simplified jbeam for tires causes this sound as i presume the tire sounds are generated based off the tire shape/structure (off road tires being louder than road tires due to the larger tread)

I am not familiar with US Style Ambulances, I would get why they light up when the doors are open to Warn Traffic or something like that... But I bet they don't have different intensities in real life...
The Side door does not open and I seem to have problems with opening the Cabin Doors as well (although the handle is highlighted)

Hi. In the second half of the video, I put a narrower tire, the grip on the road increased and it became more difficult to put the car into a skid. I'm all about the fact that there was no such problem before (I don't remember in which version). I specifically put a wider tire on some cars on the rear axle to increase the grip at the rear. Yes. I mean, the wider tires at the back should increase the grip of the rear axle on the track. But my situation is the opposite. And when I put the narrower tires at the back (narrower than the front tires), the grip on the track increased. This shouldn't have happened
Man what i mean is that there are drastic grip differences between cerain types of race tire compounds and the tire width isn't enough to negate that
it's either this, or that there's some wonky tire load sensitivity going on, but i hope it's not that (sport plus 2R's for example)

It was a mod that causes this. When i load the mod my car starts flying like in the video. I think something is wrong with the mod.

That might be intentional. The whole point of a carbon fiber hood is to lose as much weight as possible, so removing the stock latching mechanism makes sense. Though I don't see any alternative ways to close the hood, such as hood pins

The ETK 800 Sedan sunroof model (etk800_roof_sedan_sunroof) has a messed up UV map, with parts of it being mirrored and parts of it being stretched. (All the others roofs are fine)

"Front Push Bumper" is invisible, when i hold control i still see the nodes, it still interacts with things, i just can't see it. I noticed this after i subscribed to "Destruction Derby 1995" by "Stuntman PS2" on the repository. How can i see my push bar bumper again?

Trust me, i did delete the mod before, its still invisible, i relaunched, and even restarted my pc

It appears in safe mode, the only two mods i have are BeamMP + Clear car trailer, which haven't caused me problems before

If it appears in safemode, then it's usually a mod issue or userfolder issue. Delete all mods, then clear cache and check again.

It's textures and other data that the game saves (as in, caches) when you first load up an object or map. That way it's in a place that's easier to access.

I ive noticed some bugs/unbalanced stuff.
When the engine died due overheating and missing oil the radiator will never stop smoking.. Ive tried to wait an hour so far.. Still smoking. Even in water
The exhaust manifold temperature is slowing down really slowly compared to other engine components, even in water.
Ther Covet Derby Spec fuel tank is still Original. Breaking down way to fast.. A few "slight" rear ends and its getting a leak. Not really useful in derbies. A fuel cell in the car would solve it.. Near the passenger seat maybe.
The Bastion is way to op.. I tried it on the Sand Lake flats.. ~500 kW nitrous at 500km/h for a few minutes.. Engine still didnt overheat..
And a few small things.. Ive noticed opening issues with pinned hoods and doors with window nets.

Where exactly is the problem?
The Covet and Bastion things aren’t bugs, nor are they issues. I have noticed some issues with the doors not opening on some configs, though. The heating issues are most likely due to that not being the main focus of development right now, hence the odd behavior. The simulation is probably just not as advanced as other things as of right now.

when i use a automatic car the car doesnt shift and just stays in first gear
On automatic transmissions there's D mode, which should be used in most cases when driving forward. You've most likely selected one of the modes, which makes the transmission stay at one gear only. @silent granite

it’s a thing with older automatics i think. They’re made to be as realistic as possible, so they don’t always give you ideal gear changes. Try with a newer automatic (any auto etk 800 for example) and if you have the same problem with it in ‘D’ then something’s wrong. otherwise it’s just how the transmission works
idk if this is intentional or not but with the JDM refreshed covets (type L & LS), The L has sport tires, while the LS (the sportier trim) has standard tires. The L also has a stock engine apart from a ZXi ECU, while in the LS’s engine we can find a sport intake & exhaust (makes sense) BUT it has a stock ECU. now, the LS makes a bit more power and the ECU might have been downgraded in order to balance them out a little bit, i still find it annoying that the ‘regular’ trim has a higher revving engine than the ‘sport’ trim.

starting game with no launcher will not migrate the data if I recall correctly
I always go through Steam > Launcher > Start
if so, then check if the .pc files transfered correctly to your appdata/local/BeamNG.drive/0.30/vehicles folder
if they didn't transfer, they're likely on 0.29 folder

It's not dying though, that's just what happens when BeamNG tries to use too many resources in Vulkan
Overall a 1070 is alright for VR I've found, but BeamNG just uses too much VRAM

A GTX 3070 only has 8GB of VRAM as well, Vulkan would nearly max that out too

aurata default seating position is too low for configs such as sport turbo windshield (might be just the sport frame being weird)

4 reports:
- Using oculus instead of steamvr, at certain camera angles there will be purple lines all over the screen. (Looking closer, they might be my hands? I dont have my controllers plugged in)
- Also using oculus, if you close oculus before beam, it first breaks all colors on the game and then bluescreens your pc a few seconds later. Perhaps beam should close with your vr software?
- Running both oculus and steamvr at the same time cripples your fps. Not sure if its a bug but its worth mentioning
- (sorta) When using oculus, showing the left eye on the window breaks interpolation making weird spikes. Right eye does not have this issue

Loading into a level THEN activating VR results in the FPS stuck at 1-5fps avg.
Activating VR on the main menu, then loading the level is the only way I can get playable framerates.

seems to be oculus setup issue, either height or floor issue, most vr games dont have solution for it, some do, but best thing ive found out is to use OVR advanced settings that enable me to set custom floor
i wish i could open steamVR before opening beam but that forces it to open in non-vulkan mode, since it skips the launcher

The game is refusing to output to my headset, I click the VR button and press the right button on the warning and then nothing happens, game stays in flat screen mode.

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but it seems achieving a level 2 on a career profile bugs out the entire career mode.
- As long as you don't quit the career mode you will be able to do missions and earn money/experience, but won't be able to do certain things, like trading in your car at the dealership or opening the Career menu.
- When you exit the game mode and load your career profile again, the game is completely broken, it is impossible to do anything.
This does not affect the Freeroam mode at all, but going back to career will either never load or break as below.
*I have tried creating a new profile, and the profile with a level 2 remains broken. New profiles load as intended.

Even with the setting enabled it still didn't work. I smashed into a tree pretty hard and still didn't feel anything. The force feedback works fine in other games like Euro Truck Simulator

i also had some re-centering issue /yes even with ctrl+ numpad 5/ (like it would set me just slightly behind the front seat)

VRAM leak in VR
You sure it’s a leak? How much ram do you have? Also it would probably help the devs with some logs in this case and a support ticket
12GB of VRAM, starts the level at 9gb and slowly goes up to 12 until the game freezes and doesn't recover
Point me to the right direction and ill get right on it
Not to mention it runs perfectly fine before maxxing out my VRAM so don't say its my settings

@upper scarab but that's a temporary fix, the game SAVES BUGS for some reason and so after 4 hours of my save file i:
- Start underwater
- Esc campaign menu with stats doesn't show up
- Clicking R causes the car to respawn like in free roam
- Doing the thing above causes all interactive objects on the map to not see me
- Sometimes when I approach the interactive buildings the button just causes the whole menu to disappear
All this things made my save file to be basically unplayable, but im not too mad cause i had a lot of fun

I keep getting error 0x00000001, no mods enabled, fresh install, verified numerous times, safe mode gives me error 0xC0000005, reboot my pc twice, and nothing. keeps crashing before i get to the main menu.

For some mods, are specular maps not working properly? Because some chrome things and other specular mapping for textures is not working

Having same issue currently. Got it narrowed down to something with the new side by side is what causes me to lose steering
First time was i left beam open after playing with the new sxs and went to go make some food came back and no steering. Second time i was using a d-series with the new tilt trailer and trying to load the sxs onto it. Parked the sxs messed with the d series and when i switched back to the sxs i had no steering, switched back to d series and no steering from xbox controller
Arrow keys on keyboard still work fine and moving the joy stick over rides them and returns steering to center but cant turn wheels with joystick

How are you meant to play with a WMR headset if having steam(VR) open in any degree means beamng automatically launches in DX instead of giving you the option to launch in vulkan?

You'll need to launch the game outside of vr for now in order to select vulkan. It is a known issue and they are working on a fix.
Yes, but you also need to select vulkan to play in VR, so I am assuming I'm either launching something wrong or they somehow missed that issue, even though they address it directly in the patchnotes
I am assuming you are not launching the game from the executable in your install directory, but if you launch the game from big screen or vr modes, it will bypass the launcher and load in the non-vulkan renderer. You'll need to start the game from the executable in your install directory or from the standard steam window to start the launcher so you can select vulkan.
That should hopefully solve it; I've launched it in every possible way besides the executable in the directory. Launching Beamng via a shortcut, start menu, any other conceivable way with steam open (which, naturally, is required for steamvr) will just automatically launch it in DirectX

It unfortunately doesn't solve the issue, steamVR doesn't seem to recognise that BeamNG is attempting to run in VR unless you launch it through your steam library with VR on
but you also don't get the option to launch BeamNG in Vulkan when you open it in steam library, it just launches in DX
The texture cooker seems to be dead. Any mod with uncompressed textures stay like this until you hit ctrl R. Not a massive issue but it never used to happen.
The edge of WCUSA is looking weird: (this is visible all around the map, where the new additions begin)

I have the same issue. I reassign it and it doesn't always fix the problem. I wind up spawning several cars until one can steer. Glad it's not just me. I was confused at what was going on.

in beam vr my camera is stuck above the vehicle and no matter what i cant get it down into the car, even in driver view its just above the roof

Hello, on Vulkan, I sometimes, after changing time / something on the car get stutters, not the usual ones though, I get stutters that variate my fps from 120 to 13. the switch of performance happens every second. I don't know what information would be useful, please tell me and I will provide it.
Tunnels on WCUSA in sewages: some walls are not casting shadows/lighting from headlights
(btw, not using any lighting mod/graphics mods when finding this one)
Or even weirder: some tunnels are only casting shadows at some points (transition from one mesh to another or change in material?)
Here's an example:
at first, no lights
then transition (smooth fade in) (you can even see the point where the light is casted in the distance)
then lights
that's all i've found for now
