Judge extended the block on guard deployments in IL for 30 days. This appears to block the deployment of NG, but not the federalization itself as far as I can tell.
Very interesting in light of this today
Multiple people shot in Washington, DC, including at least one National Guardsman | CNN Politics https://share.google/Cz3rFN3EXP4qd6g3a
I was just reading this on my local news station so I'll post their coverage here which has slightly different info via AP
According to reporting from the Associated Press, citing a source, two National Guard members were shot, and their conditions are unknown. No word on injuries.

The governor has now said the condition of the National Guard members is unknown but the suspect is in custody
One person is in custody after the deadly shooting. Conflicting reports have been released regarding the guardsmen's condition; still no update.

The panel further dismissed D.C.’s argument that the continued deployment amounted to an irreparable harm, determining it had not identified any ongoing injury.
However, Millett emphasized the fact that the stay panel considered the case on a significantly limited record, and said that the merits panel — which has yet to be assigned — is not bound by their decision.
She added that Wednesday’s decision had not determined whether the National Guard was engaged in “law enforcement” activities and thus in violation of the Posse Comitatus Act.
...
Further, the government did not have authority under Title 32 Section 502 to request governors from South Carolina, West Virginia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and South Dakota send their own National Guard members to D.C.Wednesday’s stay decision effectively keeps the National Guard deployed for at least the next two months, as the D.C. Circuit has yet to schedule arguments for any case beyond Feb. 12, 2026.
The National Guard’s mission is currently set to end on Feb. 28, 2026, although Justice Department attorneys have stated in court that the deadline may be pushed to next summer for the “America 250” celebration in July 2026.

This will have them on the streets during midterm elections.
I just went to the National Guard website for some information and saw this. I'm going to post a photo and a link because the announcement at the top may only show up when you are accessing from Washington DC
getting the same from MN
I know the DC National Guard has a unique status here in DC, but this announcement recruiting for DC in both DC and MN seems to indicate there are plans to add 'military police soldiers' to the DC Guard to send elsewhere. I'd be interested to know the legality of deploying the DC National Guard outside of DC without an invitation from the outside locality.
At the recommendation of the Minneapolis Police Chief and out of an abundance of caution, Mayor Jacob Frey formally made a request to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for the Minnesota National Guard.

U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro, a Democrat from San Antonio, is scheduled to visit the South Texas ICE Processing Center in Pearsall on Friday, along with Rep. Maxine Dexter, an Oregon Democrat. The facility is in Frio County, 55 miles southwest of San Antonio.
Asked about the order silencing the guard troops, Castro said he suspected it came down after the Express-News, quoting the congressman, reported on Wednesday that Texas guard members in civilian clothes were “embedded” in ICE facilities to support the Trump administration's campaign to detain and deport immigrants.
Responding to inquiries from the paper, the guard and Gov. Greg Abbott’s office confirmed Castro’s assertion in general terms but provided few details, saying only that troops were performing administrative and logistical functions.
Looks like DC, Memphis, and New Orleans still have National Guard

More than 2,500 National Guard members remain in D.C. in response to Trump’s ordered deployment, but under a nonfederal status.
...
Additionally, there is an ongoing Guard presence in Memphis and New Orleans, but those missions, while funded by the federal government under a novel agreement with the Trump administration, are overseen by each state’s governor.
But if true according to Axios, looks like National Guard is suppose to leave New Orleans by end of February
