The state's prospects look dim.
There are a fuckload of Wagners + they are under strong air defense cover.
Those helicopters that fly there will just slap them around.
Wagner is by far the most capable and motivated army in the world. They are hardcore fanatics who have set themselves one goal - to overthrow the military leadership of the Russian Federation. And they are going for it.

And what is the great goal of the Rosgvardiya and the FSB? I doubt that any of them in their right mind will open fire on Wagner, and I certainly doubt that they will continue to fight when they return fire on them. They're not retarded either, they want to live. They fucked it all up, I'm pretty sure.
They are the same simple men who have families at home and a warm couch.

Then there's the suspiciously lax defense of Moscow. Some sandbags, single APCs, cadets. In short, some kind of show.
In addition, Shoigu and Gerasimov are not good at tactics and strategy, and I doubt they have any plan at all.

I think, give or take, everything will go relatively peacefully. Maybe they will fire a couple of shots and lay siege to some helicopters.

To me the fact that they specified that only those who didn't participate in the uprising will sign contracts with the army could me something along those lines. Maybe Prigozhin negotiated his way out in that he keeps his volunteer 5-6.000 mercenaries and moves back to operate solely in Africa and Syria.

Especially given that Wagner has important contracts in the mining and resource extraction business in Africa and oil industry in Syria, they don't just live off their military contracts.

This in a way would be a good way out for Prigohzhin and his mercenaries. Pull out of Ukraine and the war and go back to the money making business they have in the rest of the world.

I don't think this is the outcome Prigozhin wanted, clearly. However, if Prigozhin can survive with any freedom to maneuver, he will have been exculpated for Russia's troubles in the Ukraine war. Agreed, confidential sources are problematic, but they are also a long established tool of journalism. This type of reporting from a newspaper that has an established track record of varying levels of disciplined methodology saying “Trust me peeps. My sources are solid.” is the best we can get in the near-term sometimes. It’s best to be patient and refrain from immediate gratification. We will know more in due time.

I see the Lipetsk governor announced they've started to ease movement restrictions they imposed yesterday but nothing from Moscow on their restrictions yet (Sobyanin declared tomorrow (Monday) a non-working day and Vorobyov postponed school graduations for a week and punted outdoor public events until July 1). Presumably they'll remain braced for a few days as a precaution.

Lipetsk and Kaluga eased restrictions, in fact.
