The windows have what seems to be the Aragonese coat of arms with St Peter's keys on top

There are a few candidates in Eastern Spain that would match it

Maybe this helps narrow the candidates down

Hint since i think else it’s just too much brute force, it’s not in spain

But yeah the first coat of arms wasn’t that useful, just that it’s a spanish speaking region

(No clue what the second one precisely represents, i only recognise individual aspects. But the first should be somewhat useful in narrowing down the brute force search)

(Mercedarians originate from the former Crown of Aragon so I wasn't lost)

Guatemala is not known for being a popular tourist destination, even if it has lots of architectonic (from the Mayas and then the Spanish empire) legacy, as well as its landscapes (volcanoes and jungles)

Yeah you mostly only have to worry about the road in certain regions and border areas these days

Though officially the border regions aren’t considered more dangerous by the dutch gov

I knew of a trickle of people going to Guatemala many years ago but then I think the situation worsened again? So it's good to see things are changing for the better again

Just got advised to immediately skip guatemala city by friends in the region

Yeah, I think it's very convenient that ancient Guatemala is outside of Guatemala city

And then a decent portion of dutch people supposedly

But yeah no, while guatemala is officially yellow in the dutch travel advice they are very clear about that it’s still dangerous everywhere

Probably slightly different experience for me because i’m also here before the real high season
