But if i do so, this will be used as the main cgroup for all the containers, meaning setting something like 4cpus will result in scoping all internal containers to squeeze into this 4 cpu. Basically it's systemwide and not a container per container, right? Or I'm missing something?

Ahh I misunderstood then, i thought that it was not possible to configure from dagger, but over buildkit it could be possible. Ok, gotcha. Is there any chance that this will be implemented in any near future? Or at least exposed somehow?

Not unless there's a considerable demand for it. I'd recommend creating an issue in dagger/dagger so we can get the conversation started there 🙏
