#Dagger case studies
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hi there! Yes we have several case studies on our blog. https://dagger.io/blog
We are also more than happy to get on a zoom call with you and/or your management
We are having many conversations with users who are in a similar boat as you, so we'd be happy to help make the case for Dagger! @glass estuary can help coordintate some time to talk further about how we can support you further
Thanks a lot !
If the poc is successful I hope we make a public statement of some sort of even a zoom call as you proposed. That said It's probably gonna take at least half a year before the migration is complete
Our community call playlist has a few demos from projects and companies using Dagger in production as well - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyHqb4A5ee1tEgcr7KsNFzQSPN-R3fPs2
Completely understand. These migrations can take a long time. It would be good for us to talk privately though to make sure that our features roadmap aligns with what you need for your POC.
I have a tiny demo setup for my team tomorrow I have made my own dagger pipeline on one of our repo and it's working great.
Next month we have some official communication across the entire company where they will officially announce the migration. And this is where I'm gonna pitch the main talking points I love about dagger for our usecase:
- you can already translate your ci pipelines now, no need to wait for the new setup
- run your pipelines locally
- libraries written in the old ci can be re-implemented using a friendly SDK like go or python
@wanton crown the zoom call can be useful earlier in the process, to remove blockers for you, if you need to convince teammates to adopt Dagger, or there are objections that you'd need help addressing. Also we sell a commercial add-on product designed for large teams 🙂
Also we can get on a call just to work on your POC together, if that helps. Basically we want to make sure you're successful in your POC
So the issue is that I can't talk to much about our current infrastructure, setup etc...
That said we can probably have a quick Q&A in the 2nd half of September where I come back with questions and potential blockers.
I've tried the product on my own free time, I love it, just the fact that I can run local pipelines alone makes it valuable.
This migration is the perfect opportunity to show some key areas where dagger can shine and I'm super motivated to advocate for it or at least promote it as much as I can across the company
We're happy to sign NDAs if that helps. We've done that for other large organizations. But understand that sometimes that's not an option.
Bottom line, we have a pretty large toolbox for helping POCs succeed, and are happy to use it in whatever way works best for you.
I'm directly in contact with the team organising the migration, I'll get in touch with them on that topic
