in order for each image, left to right:
- Generation to local transmission, starting at the generator, going through the high voltage relay, then into the high current to low current transformer, lastly into the low voltage relay, out to the transmission lines
- Transmission line input passing through an overhanging bus, into a lightning arrestor, into a high voltage relay, into another lightning arrestor, then back onto another overhanging bus, down into the high->low voltage transformer, into another overhanging bus, into the low voltage relay, into you guessed it ANOTHER overhanging bus, onto the local transmission lines at last.
- random bits and bobs, a transmission line, an overhanging bus, a lightning arrestor, and a high voltage relay
bonus round:
design evolution; i based all of this on personal pictures ive taken in situ at running sites, i cannot share these as not only would it doxx me but it would be kinda illegal :P
a switching cabinet based on Fern's design and an Eaton switching cabinet (below)
other inspiration:
the end
just curious, do any of these function or are they decorative
they do function, mostly as switches, the transformers work in the simplest sense that they step down high currect connectors to low current ones
everything else is sadly decoration
These are freaking Awesome thank you
i had a lot of fun making them :)
