Extendable running board for train car entries

many modern trains have extendable boards for passengers to cross the gap between the train and the platform, or to use as stairs if the door is a bit high. Would be nice to have them as they extend with the opening doors

Well, i think it would fit with that mod, but i think it might stick with 1.19.2 and that is getting a bit outdated

no mean to offend anyone, but why do you want extendable running boards for a mod that is mainly used to transport stuff to/from your base to/from your other points of interest?
i mean unless you are just using this mod in creative or on some server, at which you should just use trapdoors as said previously or find/commision someone to make/make a mod with that feature?

We already have the loco metals coming with the next update which are just blocks. But they are designed for trains. If there was a unique trapdoor for trains that slid open. It would be cool to see a small quality of life detail when making a train and having it arrive at your station

i think, if its made in the current Create artstyle, just like the train casing block texture, it would not look that out of place for Steam 'n' Rails, would it?

and if any one needs it in a more modern apearance, they could just use a resource pack. Create even comes with one to change the colour of nixie tubes to green instead of white when on a signal

but yeah, a resource pack would be nice for that. I even changed the acacia door to a glass door on a server because no one used it as an acacia door but every one wanted a glass door
