Bypassing MFA After Remembering a Device

If MFA is set as required at the user pool level, it will apply to all users irrespective of device trust status. This configuration is likely the root cause of your issue. If MFA is mandatory at the user pool level, it might override the remembered device setting.

I updated MFA to optional on a userpool level and still have the same outcome as above.

I believe once MFA is enable you can't un enable it or something like that
