You can move small elements without dragging them 🙂
The documented way is:
- Select the element
- Use the arrow keys to move it with precision
That avoids having to grab the resize area first.
About the outline: I couldn’t find any documented option to hide the selection/scaling outline. So as far as the docs say, that part is not customizable.
If you want, I can also show you the best workflow for moving tiny elements in FancyMenu without accidentally resizing them 🧰
What about being able to resize elements via keyboard? I cannot select the horizontal scaling because the corner ones are in the way.
I couldn’t find any documented way to resize elements via keyboard only. 🧭
The best workaround in the docs is to use Advanced Sizing:
- right-click the element
- choose Advanced Sizing
- set the size values directly
That avoids the resize handles entirely, so you don’t have to fight with the corner grabbers.
For moving:
- you can already use the arrow keys to move a selected element precisely
About the scaling outline/handles:
- I also couldn’t find any documented option to hide them
This could be loosely related to editor mouse/input issues like Unable to focus text input field and Can't highlight text with your mouse in certain windows, but neither issue is specifically about resize handles.
If you want, I can also show you the exact steps for using Advanced Sizing on a tiny element without guessing 🙂
