Yes 🙂 For FancyMenu v3 setups, the menu is stored in the instance’s config/fancymenu/ folder.

Best way:

  1. Open the source modpack/instance folder.
  2. Copy the whole config/fancymenu/ folder.
  3. Open the target modpack/instance folder.
  4. Delete its existing config/fancymenu/ folder.
  5. Paste the copied one there.

That’s the recommended way, because FancyMenu setups usually shouldn’t be merged manually.

Docs:

If you want, I can also tell you how to export just one layout instead of the whole FancyMenu setup 🤝

So I've done that, but my old layout isnt in the options

That usually means one of these things 🤔

  1. The layout was made for a different screen identifier

    • A layout only shows on the screen it was created for.
    • If you open a different menu, it won’t appear there.
  2. Current Screen Customization is not enabled for that screen

    • For a normal screen layout, that screen must have customizations enabled first.
  3. You copied the wrong folder / wrong instance

    • Make sure you copied the whole config/fancymenu/ folder into the correct modpack instance.

Please send me your /logs/latest.log file from the target instance, grabbed right after opening the menu where the layout is missing. I need that to pinpoint why it’s not showing up.

I don’t see a FancyMenu error in the log, so this is most likely a screen/layout mismatch 🤔

Please check these in order:

  1. Open the exact same screen the layout was made for

    • FancyMenu layouts are tied to a screen identifier.
  2. Make sure Current Screen Customization is enabled

    • The screen must be enabled first before its layout shows up.
  3. Check whether the layout was Universal

    • Universal layouts do not show up as a normal “current screen” layout.
    • They are separate.
  4. If it was for a modded screen

    • The other modpack may use a different screen identifier, so the old layout won’t load there.

If you want, send me:

  • the screen name/identifier
  • whether the old layout was For Current Screen or Universal

Then I can tell you which case it is 👀
