Hi. What do I do in the hypothetical scenario where I soft-lock myself by making a ticker that connects me to a non-existent server and having placed it in the main menu? 😊

Hi! Please first select which type of question you want to ask:

• "Normal Question" is enough for most questions. If you are unsure, you should choose this mode. It provides quick and accurate answers to your questions and problems.
• "Complex Task" is for very complex questions and multi-step tasks. For example, questions involving complex action script, requirement, or placeholder logic. Normal users will almost never need this. Getting answers takes much longer here.

Heyy 😊 in that case, the safest move is to get rid of the ticker from your FancyMenu config instead of trying to click it in-game.

From the docs, the general recovery path for broken menu setups is to edit your config/fancymenu files directly, and for modpack-style setups you can also replace the whole fancymenu folder if needed.

What you should do:

• Close Minecraft completely
• Open your instance’s config/fancymenu/ folder
• Find the layout or element that contains that ticker
• Remove or edit the ticker action so it no longer tries to join that server
• Start Minecraft again

If you can’t easily find which layout it’s in, the fastest fix is usually to temporarily restore from a backup of your config/fancymenu folder, if you have one.

If the problem is so bad that you can’t recover it cleanly, I’d recommend asking a human helper for direct file recovery help rather than guessing and risking more changes 🙏

If you want, I can also help you figure out which FancyMenu file/layout is most likely responsible based on how you set it up.
