I had a 'current screen' layout and now its gone.

Heyy, I’m checking this out now 😄 I’ll first look for similar reports and the docs, then I’ll narrow down why the layout vanished.

Oof, that usually means it’s either been turned off for that screen or you’re just not looking at the exact same screen anymore 😅

Try these first:

  1. Open the screen where the layout should appear
  2. Press Ctrl + Alt + C
  3. Go to Customization → Current Screen Customization
  4. Make sure it’s Enabled

Then check:

  • Customization → Layouts → Manage Layouts / All Layouts
  • See if the layout is still listed there
  • It may have been renamed, moved to a universal layout, or just disabled for that screen

If it’s still not there at all, then it may actually have been deleted or your config got reset somehow.

If you want, tell me one of these:

  • is the layout missing from the editor list, or
  • does it just not show up on that screen anymore?

And if it was working before and then vanished after an update/restart, I can help you narrow it down more 👍

Can you tell me:

  • which screen it was for, like Title Screen / Pause Menu / etc.
  • and whether it’s missing from the layout list too, or only not showing on the screen?

In the meantime, please check this:

  • open that screen
  • press Ctrl + Alt + C
  • go to Customization
  • make sure Current Screen Customization is Enabled
