#✅ | Weird overlap

I’m checking what changed with the Fabric update and what usually causes menu/button overlap like this. If it’s a known FancyMenu layout issue, I’ll narrow it down and give you the quickest fix 😊
I found the likely bucket: after a Fabric update this is usually a mod/layout conflict rather than a permanent broken menu. I’m checking the recovery steps so I can tell you how to get back into Settings even if the button is blocked 👍
Yep, that looks like a menu layout / scaling conflict after the Fabric update 😅
It’s usually not a permanent break, and you can often fix it without clicking Settings.
Try this in order:
-
Press
Ctrl + Alt + R- This reloads FancyMenu and often fixes weird overlap right away.
-
Press
Ctrl + Alt + C- This should open/toggle FancyMenu’s top bar.
- If it appears, disable the customization for the current screen so the vanilla menu comes back.
-
If you still can’t get into it, close the game and reset FancyMenu
- Rename or delete:
config/fancymenu/ - That removes the broken menu layout and restores vanilla behavior.
- Rename or delete:
-
After that, check for other mods that touch menus
- Fabric updates often mean one of those mods needs an update too.
- If you have anything that changes the pause menu or UI, that’s the first thing I’d suspect.
If you want, I can help you narrow down whether it’s FancyMenu itself or a different mod conflict 👀
If you send me your latest.log, I can take a look too.
mac shortcuts? it doesnt have ctrl and alt
Checking the Mac key equivalents for those FancyMenu shortcuts so I don’t send you the wrong combo 🍎
Yep , on Mac, try:
⌘ + ⌥ + Cfor the menu bar⌘ + ⌥ + Rto reload FancyMenu
⌘ = Command, ⌥ = Option.
Those Mac combos aren’t explicitly listed in the docs, but they’re the usual equivalents 🍎
If they still don’t do anything, tell me and I’ll help you do the manual reset instead.
did not work
The shortcut route didn’t work, so I’m switching to the safer fallback: resetting the FancyMenu config and checking for a mod conflict. I’ll give you the quickest next step now 🛠️
if only mod menu had the direct mod settings button
I’m checking whether FancyMenu is supposed to show a direct settings button in Mod Menu, or if this screenshot means it simply doesn’t expose one. If it doesn’t, I’ll give the clean fallback path so you can un-break the menu 👌
Yeah, sadly FancyMenu doesn’t show a direct config/settings button in Mod Menu 😅
Your screenshot is just the standard Mod Menu page for the mod, so it only gives the website/issues links.
Since the shortcut route didn’t work on Mac, the clean fix is:
- Quit Minecraft completely
- Go to your instance’s
configfolder - Rename or delete:
fancymenu - Start the game again
That resets FancyMenu and should get rid of the broken overlap so you can click things again.
If you want, I can also help you find the exact config path for your launcher, like CurseForge, Prism, or Modrinth 🎮
