You can get the vanilla Options button back via the editor menu. Open the layout where the button disappeared, then go to the menu bar → Element → Deleted Vanilla Elements and left-click the “Options” entry to make it visible again.

Vanilla buttons don’t expose their action scripts, so you can’t edit what they do there—if you want a custom button with your own actions, add a new custom button and assign it actions via Edit Action Script instead.

More detail is on the Deleted Vanilla Elements page.

Ah, that’s annoying 😕 If the Options button still isn’t showing up, double-check a couple things:

  1. Make sure you opened the layout for the screen where you deleted the button (e.g., the Title screen). Deleted vanilla elements are stored per layout, so if you’re in the wrong layout, it won’t list the Options button.
  2. After opening that layout, go to Element → Deleted Vanilla Elements and left-click the “Options” entry. You should see it reappear immediately. If the entry isn’t there, the layout you opened isn’t the one where you deleted it—try opening the correct screen again and repeating the step.

If you’re still stuck, let me know which screen you’re customizing and what layout is active; that’ll help me guide you better 🙂

how do i get up where all the layers are. i think its behind a immage

You can bring up the layer list using the Layers widget. Just go to the menu bar and click Window → Widgets → Layers; that opens a panel showing every element in the layout and lets you drag them up/down to fix what’s hiding. You can also right-click the element you suspect is covering the Options button and use “Move One Layer Up/Down” from the context menu while editing.

If you still can’t spot it, try dragging the Layers panel out of the way so you can see what’s behind the image, then reorder or temporarily hide the covering element until the button is accessible again.

More info is in the FAQ section about layering.

If the Options button feels locked, it probably still uses the default “Original” anchor. Right-click the button, go to Anchor Point, and pick any other anchor (Center of Screen, Bottom Center, etc.). Once it has a non-original anchor, you can freely move or resize it.

If you need to stack it above/below something else, use the Layers widget via Window → Widgets → Layers to reorder it.

More details are in the Vanilla Elements guide.
