In my current modpack 1.21.1 neoforge i added essentials to connect to friends. Fancymenu worked with the mod at first but it deleted my player entity i had already placed for the essentials one. So after played with friends i removed essentials mod and now when i try to add a player entity element the game crashes every time.

On 1.21.1 you still need Fancy Entity Renderer for the Player Entity element to work—double-check it’s installed and matched to your Minecraft/Forge version, otherwise spawning the element can crash the game (see the Player Entities guide).
Essentials itself shouldn’t break things once it’s gone, but if you ever need to re-enable it again, there’s a short note about the integration over on the Essential compatibility page.

Because you’re hitting a crash every time, the next step is to gather your <minecraft_instance>/logs/latest.log (not the crash log) and ask for human help—please attach that file in the thread and click the “Request Human Help” button so someone can look at the stack trace and debug it properly. I can’t debug logs myself, so that’s the only way to move forward with crashes.

Thanks for the update! Since the crash happens exactly when you add a Player Entity, it’s still worth double-checking two things:

  1. Fancy Entity Renderer must match the Minecraft/Neoforge version—fancy-entity-renderer-neoforge-1.21-0.4.3 is the right file, but make sure it’s actually loading without errors (watch the log during startup).
  2. If there’s any residual Essentials layout or element left over that targeted the Essentials player entity, it might still be trying to reference something that no longer exists. You could try removing any Essentials-specific Player Entity elements before adding a new one, just to rule that out.

More detailed info is in the Player Entities guide, and the Essential compatibility page has the note about their integration.

Because you’re hitting a crash, we still need the <minecraft_instance>/logs/latest.log (not the crash log) so a human can inspect it. Please upload that file here and press the “Request Human Help” button so someone can analyze the stack trace—I’m not able to debug logs myself, but a human can take it from there.

I can’t open the attached file myself. Please press the “Request Human Help” button so a human can review your latest.log and help debug the crash.
