#🙋 | mp4 video?

To get a video playing as your main menu background you need MCEF installed and then use FancyMenu’s Video background type (see the Videos (MP4) guide).
- Make sure you have MCEF (or the Keksuccino fork for 1.21.5+) installed—video support relies on it.
- Open the main menu, enable customizations for that screen, and create/edit a layout for it.
- Right-click the editor background → Set Background → choose Video.
- Configure the video by pointing it to your
.mp4file (place it in/config/fancymenu/assets/first so FancyMenu can load it) and adjust playback options (loop, volume, etc.). - Save the layout and reload/reopen the menu to see the video.
If you need buttons to control the video (pause/play, volume), you can add actions like Toggle Video Background Paused State or Set Video Background Volume in your buttons’ action scripts; those actions are listed on the same Videos (MP4) page.
Remember videos don’t work in the loading screens, so stick to menus like the title screen.
