Howdy! 👋
I'm not sure if I fully understand your question. Are you trying to literally crop an already existing image file right inside SpiffyHUD or are you trying to just crop an image part of an image? I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with the term "cropping an imageq". 😅
Could you please provide a little bit more context and clarify what you mean by "cropping an imageq"? That would help me greatly in assisting you! 😊
i have an image, i want to make it so only part of the image shows and the rest is hiddne, while still being able to see behind it
Ah, I understand now! You're looking to display only a portion of an image while making the unused parts transparent.
While SpiffyHUD (and FancyMenu) doesn't have a direct "crop" tool within the mod itself to modify image files, you can achieve a similar effect using a combination of elements and proper image preparation:
- Prepare your image externally: Use an image editing software (like GIMP, Photoshop, or even online tools) to create an image with transparent areas around the part you want to show. Save it as a PNG file, as PNGs support transparency.
- Add it as an Image element: In SpiffyHUD, add this prepared PNG as an Image element. Since the unused portions are already transparent in the PNG, you'll effectively only see the part of the image you want, and you'll be able to see behind it.
This method gives you full control over exactly which part of your image is visible and what lies behind it! 😊
