#✅ [SOLVED] Faster loading times

Hello there! 👋
Yes, there are definitely ways to optimize your FancyMenu assets and pre-loading to help improve your modpack's boot time!
When it comes to optimizing assets, the key is to use the right resolution for your textures. Avoid using very high-resolution images for small areas, as this can waste performance and make your menus look weird. Instead, use textures that are at or near the resolution they will appear in the menu. Also, always make sure to preserve the aspect ratio of your images when scaling them to prevent distortion. You can also utilize Nine-Slicing & Tiling for scalable UI elements. For more detailed tips on this, you can check out the Optimizing Textures documentation.
Regarding pre-loading, while it is recommended for certain resources like high-resolution images, audio files, and web resources to prevent flickering or lag, it's important to know that pre-loading larger resources will naturally increase the game's initial loading time. This is mentioned in the FAQ related to long load times after enabling pre-loading.
For animations, especially FMA files, pre-loading makes them play smoothly, but be mindful of memory usage. FMA files are uncompressed animations and can consume a lot of memory. It's recommended to use a maximum of 200 frames at a resolution of 1080p for FMA animations. Animations are intended for short, decorative loops, not full videos. You can read more about this in the Animations (FMA) and FAQ pages.
If you have many resources configured to pre-load, you might want to review them and only pre-load the ones that are absolutely essential for immediate smooth display to balance between performance and initial load times. You can manage your pre-loaded resources under Customization -> Pre-Load Resources in FancyMenu.
I hope this helps make your modpack's loading quicker! Let me know if you have any other questions. 😊
