First day of Honor Mode in Act 3:

I SOMEHOW (I still don't know what I did!) aggro'd a random farm animal while dealing with the squatter situation. For some reason non-lethal attacks didn't work. People were displeased with me.
Successfully ran away after beating up the guys I was originally fighting, came back to Rivington, and had to bribe a fucking farmer 5000 gold to let me walk in Rivington unbothered again (Yes, YOU READ THAT RIGHT!)
I went to confront a few NPCs for special dialogue ||(Orin stuff)|| and the game... made me pay her because she counted as aggro'd by the farm animal incident?! So I paid her 2000 gold just for her to fucking do her thing and poof away with my gold.
This game.......... it pains me at times

It is Act 3 and both Halsin & Minthara are still in my party. I assume in a future patch they'll fix this, but as of right now they're sharing a tent and it's the funniest thing to me. It's their "get along" space, but I imagine anytime another party member walks by they can hear them muttering insults at one another

Alas, alack, ||I wasn't able to rescue all of the prisoners in the Iron Throne. I had everyone in the main room, but the gnomes stopped fucking running after a turn? So I did a quicksave, loaded to the main menu, and loaded back into my save hoping that would fix the problem. It did work, but unfortunately one gnome was unable to reach the final ladder in time and I was forced to leave them behind 😔 ||

I mean, Astarion won't get his big buffs anyway until Act 3, so I can keep him as a Face for now and Shadowheart can still keep us all safe with lots of heals as a Life Cleric. Once we reach Act 3 and get ||Hope's gloves|| & Birthright I can reclass Astarion and make him do The Hat Dance™️ where needed (switch between Warped Headband, Birthright, fighting hat, etc.)

Doing the Hat Dance I can make Astarion have Cha 18 by level 12, and with Dex +5 & Wis +3, so that's not bad!

I did my ally checklist, I have everyone I could possibly get in this playthru ready to assist me. Everyone has their gear, backup gear, buffs-only gear, and potions & bombs out the wazoo!!!

So fourth playthrough complete, here are some of the outcomes from an evil playthrough (Major MAJOR spoilers ahead):
What you need to know: || Eav embraced Bhaal, the Emperor slurped the Orpheus brain.||
I have identified 3 main possible endings:
1.||Actual good ending?: Kill the Netherbrain, Papa Bhaal is not happy, you get 4 choices, the fourth choice is a final act of defiance: Eav kills herself. Epilogue consists of a scene with Withers in the afterlife.||
2.||Pretty bad ending: Kill the Netherbrain, Papa Bhaal is not happy, you get 4 choices, any choice but the fourth means Eav either accepts her fate or thinks she can stop it by any mean other than killing herself. Yeah that ain't gonna work. Epilogue consists of the very very bad dark urge ending where you go fully insane and go to the party to kill all your friends. You do get one extra scene with the third choice, in which you vow to go to prison for the rest of your life and Withers comes to visit you, but you eventually still go fully mad and break out of prison to go kill your friends.||
3.||Worst ending: Dominate the Netherbrain, all your friends become thralls, break the world for Bhaal, no epilogue. No post-credit scene.||

Had a steamy night with Lae'zel, as a Githyanki you get the option to ||tell Lae'zel "No you will submit to me", but who am I kidding, Chav is the bottom of all times, she ain't picking that||.
Having a slightly useless multiclasser on the team definitely makes the game harder at low levels, ||knocking Minthara out was hard, she straight up killed Shadowheart in the process||.

It's the Dragonborn who's smooching Lae'zel, Jheihloh, and I want his stats to sort of reflect the proper stat block for an Adult Silver Dragon (main difference being he is allowed to have Dexterity because I can meet the Str requirement of 27 with a potion and I don't want him to wear Heavy Armor... well, ||if the Helldusk Armor wasn't so goddamn ugly I'd be alright with him wearing that, but since it's ugly and it looks like a truck drove over it with mud if you try to dye it, no Helldusk Armor either||

More highlights of the Adventures of Chav, Chaotic Stupid Sorlockbardinzard, featuring the Hag.

broke her paladin oath by ||letting the hag take her eye||, paid 1000 gold to get it back
put on the hag's mask without protection, managed to resist it thanks to being an oath of the ancients paladin
decided to go take a long rest with the mask on, woke up and immediately succumbed to the hag's whispers in camp, and got bonked by all her friends
learnt her lesson and put the mask on with protection, then the quest progressed as normal
broke her oath again by ||letting the hag go, because girl desperately needs that, +1 charisma||
paid 2000 gold to get her oath back, then shamelessly savescummed Wyll pickpocketing the money back (the DC was 30 and the knight immediately aggros on a fail), because 3000 gold is A Lot™️
promptly broke her oath again by ||raising Connor||, it now costs 10,000 gold to get it back. Fuck that I reloaded and Shadowheart ||raised Connor|| instead.

I dunno if it was a bug or what|| but I sent the idol to camp after Astarion stole it to minimize the druids being mad at me||

||When I picked it up at camp Gale, Wyll, Volo and Scratch turned hostile and attacked me||

||I knocked out Scratch, had to kill Gale and Wyll to make combat end and Volo drank an invisibility potion||

But from a roleplaying point of view, ||I had to deal with Orin super fast. Eav did really love Minthara, and failing to protect her from Orin fucked her up a lil bit, she immediately dropped everything to go rescue her. And I think it's also what pushed her to embrace Bhaal, and slurp that astral tadpole. Get all the power so that she can protecc her loved ones, everybody else be damned.||

I also think, of all the endings I explored, ||the "good" one where Eav chooses to kill the netherbrain and then herself might be the best roleplay-wise? After defeating the brain, she realises the biggest threat to her loved ones is...herself||

She found a funny amulet in a pit of lava. The amulet speaks to her when in ||the Rosymorn monastery!||
She may have accidentally blown up ||the Zhentarim hideout|| by holding a torch too close to an oil spill.
The ||Nere|| fight almost descended into chaos when a Wild Magic Surge summoned a hostile lava mephit (what a coincidence!) that ||brought all the gnomes into the initiative||.
Chav failed to retrieve ||Nere's head|| due to him succumbing to yeetus lavae.
The ||guardian of the forge, Grym, met a tragic end in an owlbear-related incident||.
This is officially the last curly hair option. Next level up, girl is gonna have to bust out the straightener, or start braiding.
One ||runepowder barrel|| has been stolen. ||Philomeen|| didn't even notice!
In her eagerness to recite all theatre lines she found in the ||Arcane Tower|| to ||Bernard||, she may or may not have caused him to turn hostile.

Some other highlights of Chav, level 7 Sorlockbardadinzardruidcleric, with her lvl 7 braids

inspired by being around a bunch of fellow gith inside a monastery, became a cleric of Vlaakith
then promptly defaced her portrait right in front of her gf who was not impressed.
then was completely starstruck when she actually met Vlaakith
then immediately defied Vlaakith by ||letting her guardian live, because like, she seems nice?||
jumped down to pick up a gith egg to adopt, then Lae'zel jumped right after her and crushed the egg 😅 (I reloaded)
solved the rosymorn monastery puzzle, then forgot to put the piece of the puzzle inside the mechanism when grabbing Blood of Lathander, and the monastery got nuked by the might of the sun.
Astarion was there the whole time, he was a Rothé. He was crushed to death. ~~I think he and Chav are even now.~~
got the ||drider's moonlantern|| super early by ||commanding him to drop it||! could have just left with it, but I dared attempt to pick up his sword as well so everyone aggroed and now they are dead.
let's ||smuggle Minthara out of Moonrise Towers shall we? Ok we convinced the jailers to let us handle it. Ok now they're gone, quick let's cast invisibility on Minthara and get out of her-BOOM Wild Magic Surge. We're all on fire now.|| Whoops.

Surrounded by enemies on the left there you've got ||Is-dog-bel||, with a couple of friendly cats to her left (Shadowcat) and to her right (Catlach). Up by the door behind the hostile dog is Scratch., he got polymorphed into... another dog.
In the middle there, having just murdered ||Marcus|| (you can see his feet), you've got Dog-starion and Ch-woof. Then down right is Dog-starion's cat familiar.......polymorphed as a dog.

If you want to kill all of the ||duegar|| and have an easier time with Nere, you can sneak around Grymforge with someone who knows Minor Illusion and two characters who have downed a strength potion, and lure them away with the minor illusion one-by-one, enter turn based mode, and have your strength people throw ||each duegar|| to their death. The maximum crowd you can make to pull this off is two, so that if one sees you yeet their friends into the abyss, you can switch characters mid-dialogue and have the other strength person yeet the witness

I've cleared the entire camp before freeing Nere and didn't bring us into combat, its glorious and deeply funny

If you don't have a Minor Illusion person you can also have a bard play music. If you succeed on a performance check while playing an instrument, when you're done singing they might throw gold at you before your strength character can pick them up and yeet them off the edge

attempt #2: try again, same thing happens because I forgot to turn it off. Also a Wild Magic Surge happened (see screenshot)
attempt #3: I did it! Victory! Got the cutscene. Now let's reload, it is not in character for Chav to win this.

also Minthara (see screenshot) thinks Chav will live longer than other Wizards? She has never been more wrong in her life. Chav is going to ||defeat Vlaakith and then promptly faceplant into lava aged 35||.

Hot tip: if you use the Spellcrux amulet & the Pearl of Power you can cast Aid at 3rd level AND Heroes' Feast at 6th level, use both amulets, and then leave camp with all of your psell slots

Radiance of the Dawn (or anything radiant really) + luminous armour + boots of stormy clamour + gloves of the belligerent skies + a couple more things (like the helmet that deals radiant damage to people who miss you and a necklace you find in ||the mimic in Isobel's room||) inflict a fuckton of reverberation on enemies and it is SO. DAMN. COOL.

Also if you nab the Ring of Mental Inhibition any time you inflict a condition on a target you also hit them with Mental Fatigue, so it stacks with Reverberation & Radiant Orbs and it's just delightful

Radiant Orbs mean that character can't go into stealth AND has reduced attack rolls, Reverberation gives -1 to Str/Dex/Con rolls and take 1d4 Thunder dmg on 5 stacks and can be knocked prone if they fail a Con ST, Mental Fatigue gives -1 to Int/Wis/Cha rolls and when failing Int/Wis/Cha rolls take 1d4 psychic DMG. It's a fun combo

The Luminous Armor is in the Underdark Selunite Outpost. You could technically find the door via perception check, but if you go to the portal and turn the camera so that the portal is on the left side and make a high str character jump up to that crack in the wall on the 2nd floor you can skip the Perception check and nab the Ornate Chest with the armor

A summary of Chav, Level 9 Sorlockbardadinzardruidcleronkranger, and her lvl 9 hair (she is gonna copy her 4 predecessors' hairstyles for her last 4 levels, first up is Tav's undercut)

Found a spider carcass. Licked it. Got poisoned. Licked it again. Got poisoned again. Then decided it might be a good idea to inspect it for signs of magical interference.
Disarming traps is for the weak, freezing to death in clouds of darkness is much more poggers.
||"So I met a bunch of rude rats, followed them to the foot of a giant statue. The rats tried to bribe me? excuuuuse me Chav is incorruptible*. I fought the rats, then they turned into a man? then he attacked me, so we had to kill him. Then I met this orthon who was like "oh the song has ended I am free", then Raphael shows up? oh wait.....that was the orthon Raphael wanted me to kill wasn't it?"|| Never change, Chav.
The power of meta-knowledge lead everybody to ||strip before activating the self-same trial||. Unfortunately, Chav forgot that she also needed to ||un-strip||.
A grumpy dwarf, a githyanki (not Chav), a dragonborn, and a very tall human walk into Moonrise Towers... then ||kill everybody so as to guarantee no Harpers die in the assault. The party was under the seeming spell so that Minthara could come and go as she pleased. The twist in this slaughter is that Chav was not allowed to kill anyone, for that would break her Paladin Oath 😑 ||
I tell ya, very angry not-paladin ~~drow~~ dwarf + sharpshooter + dual-wielding hand crossbows + potion of bloodlust + arrows of many targets + action surge = Minthara single-handedly killed 80% of cultists in a single turn
Decided to ||hide all the cultist's bodies in random containers throughout Moonrise towers. Isobel back in her old room "oh I remember my nightstand, I used to keep my diary in there I wonder if it's still he-holy fuck is that a whole ass body?"||
Shadowheart has been training all game to yeet spears, she yeeted the ||Spear of Night|| So. Hard.
Decided it would be funny to try and smash ||Mizora's pod|| open with -1 strength, rolled a Nat20
finally remembered to take ||the two brain jars from the nautiloid into the colony||!

I've got it on Jaheira with the Titanstring bow + Sharpshooter + 18 Dex + 19 Str + bloodlust potion,

Chav was always going to shine when meeting the ||"Harpers"||, she did not disappoint (see spoilered screenshot). I think the fact that Jaheira is very clear, and Chav succeeded on the insight check, makes this extra funny
Decided I wanted Minsc recruited immediately, which means that we beelined it to Baldur's Gate, and as a result:
Passed a DC30 check to convince the guard that I was ||Gortash's new occultist||
||Entering Wyrm's fortress triggered Chav to lose consciousness and the dark urge scene where you discover who Papa is|| (see spoilered screenshot)
||Mizora intercepted me right at the entrance to Basilisk gate||
Minsc is already level 12. I made him a Monk. A Monsc, if you will.
After the ||counting house|| fight, I may or may not have ||hidden the Bhaalist's bodies in random stacks of books.||
Fun fact: this level up was like super fast? Was barely lvl 10 when I started, hit lvl 11 in the ||Zhents vs Guild|| fight. The power of Monsc.

Still walking around, they initiate combat if they see me, at this point I have all three ||Netherstones||. So I think the ||Elder Brain|| has more direct control of them.

Sister Rose the Penitent, you have never been so right about anything in your entire life, and never will be again (see screenshot).
Bought a bunch of drugs from the Guild, keep randomly consuming them throughout the day
Since I recruited Minsc so quickly, I got a nice rare ||Dark urge|| scene with him and Jaheira. Also yes they swapped camp clothes.
Chav is such a good detective, when she stumbles upon a scene full of corpses, she makes sure to stow them away in random containers and cleans up the blood. That's how you solve crimes right?

So when Minthara was abducted by Orin her tent disappeared......... meaning Halsin's did too. Man is tent-less. I clean forgot to share this last night, but if y'all are having the same issue then I wanted to share. I think the latest hotfix might be getting a hotfix soon. I (safely) removed all of my mods so that I could still play an older file, which I've done many times before without issue, and now every time I close the game it resets the timer for how long I've played on the file I had just played to 0hrs and 0minutes. I ran a few tests. If I run a save file--any save file!--it resets the time played to 0hrs. If I save after 10 minutes, then my new save timestamp is 0hrs 10mins. If I close the game, open it up again, and power up that file, and make a brand new save, that new save's timestamp is 0hrs.

I was like "I wonder if it's mods, maybe that's the issue?" so I asked my partner if I could borrow his laptop since he doesn't mod. Same deal with him, every file that gets played and makes a new save resets the time played to 0hrs.

It's changing the timestamp on the saves. So if pre-hotfix 18 a save was on 33hrs, if I load up that save post-hotfix 18 and save the new timestamp is reset to 0

BAAAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAA I'm in Act 3 in ||The House of Hope|| and I just made ||Minsc pickpocket Haarlep in the Boudoir|| and the usual pickpocket scene played out, where an NPC chases you down like "there was a theft in this area, eyes are on you" but it was just ||Haarlep in his skimpy, skimpy undies confronting Minsc, totally buying his "it wasn't me" and walked back to Raphael's bed and is just chilling there. It doesn't matter if I sneak in front of him now, or if I catch his field of vision, the event only triggers now when I go up and talk to him directly. It's so funny seeing Haarlep walk around and do the Baldur's Gate 3 idle animation with his hand on his hips, swaying back and forth, waiting for something to happen|| 😂

I only pickpocketed him because I wanted to see if I could steal the ||Helldusk Gauntlets|| off him AND ||sleep with him|| for the special dialogue, but, alas, all that's in those wee undies is a key 😔

So as you might know in my Karlach co-op I'm running her as a Barbarian 4 (Eagle Heart) / Monk 6 (Open Hand) / Druid 2 (Spores).
Since we had Jaheira in our party we decided to run a lil cat infiltration of the ||Steelwatch foundry||. I was able, as Cat-lach, to pick up all the required components and ~~meowticulously~~ meticulously craft ||the special crossbow|| without ever needing to exit wild shape.
Then we found a hidden treasure, I tried to dig it up but nop, that's too complicated for a cat. HypeLUL

What's the synergy for the Cat-lach build, if you don't mind me asking? Druid is for Symbiotic Entity, I assume, for extra Necrotic DMG per hit, then with Open Hand + Soul Catching Gloves + Tavern Brawler there's additional Str Mods & Elemental Dmg & Force DMG, and Barbarian is for imposing disadvantage on all attacks on Cat-lach while raging + rage bonuses, yeah? So Rage & Symbiotic entity work together?

It's working very well, I actually wrote down the full breakdown a few days ago. But to summarise

From Monk: all the basic goodies, extra damage from Open Hand
From Barbarian: rage + leaping attacks and bonus action dash, often come in useful, the disadvantage on opportunity attacks is not something I think about much, but paired with the robe that gives you a reaction attack when an enemy misses you it works pretty well.
From Druid: symbiotic entity is good shit, being able to turn into a cat is also insanely fun, if not exactly ideal for combat. ~~Also being able to create/destroy water is perfect for my cleaning-up-blood-pools-and-bodies mania~~

Nice!! I'm currently theory-crafting an alternative of the tried-and-true AssassinGloomstalker build, this time 5/5/2 to Assassin/Gloomstalker/Circle of Spores using the Dancing Breeze/Larethian's Wrath & Risky Ring to achieve constant Sneak Attacks & have devastating AoE. It's not too exciting, tbh, just because Assassin/Gloomstalker has been done to death, but I'm still excited to see how it performs 👀

So! So far this is feeling kinda fun, but I'm not sure how optimal it is. Maybe because I still don't have all of the endgame gear I had in mind, but we'll see!
I've got the Stalker Gloves for an extra 1d4 Force DMG on Sneak Attacks for now (will swap out with Helldusk once I get further in to Act 3) and the Holy Lance Helm dealing additional 1d4 Radiant dmg with each hit. Going to swap out the Fleshmelter Cloak for the Cindermoth once I get into the city proper, and I'm deciding if I want to get the Sporekeeper gear for the free Haste Spores + 1 extra Necrotic DMG, or if I want to get the Unwanted Scalemail for extra AC and Fire Resist (and also look fly as hell). For boots I've currently got the Nightstalkers, but I could switch them for the Boots of Psionic Movement for free Fly & Psychic DMG, or the Boots of Persistence for perma Freedom of Movement & Longstrider.

I think having a gloomstalker on the team might be key, for we won initiative over him (Chav also had super high initiative somehow!) and Jaheira immediately knocked her out and killed 3 ||cambions|| (her champion 6 / gloomstalker 3 / assassin 3 build is seriously so fuckin powerful!) which meant ||Yurgir|| didn't target her at all and focused on ||Raphael|| instead (he actually got the killing blow on him 😅)

A very funny thing happened though, that was me being stupid but we can attribute it to Chav in-game.
We had:

Lae'zel on ||pillar|| duty
Jaheira on yeet arrows at every enemy duty
Chav on haste Lae'zel, stay under sanctuary and look pretty duty
Karlach on haste Jaheira, stay under sanctuary and look pretty duty
Chav decides to eldritch blast a ||pillar|| to speed things up, loses sanctuary, casts reflective shell from ||Viconia||'s shield to reduce the risk of getting hit and losing concentration
Big brain genius idea: have Karlach yeet an invisibility potion at Chav as her action to further protect her from being targeted....except the reflective shell is up, the potion is deflected back at Karlach who goes invisible instead.....and loses her sanctuary too 😅

Noodle and I have had many discussions about this. I wasn't convinced that the first mindflayer you see was ||the Emperor|| but I could see it now. Is ||he still under the influence of the elder brain||? Has ||he already been freed from the elder brain thanks to the artefact but is putting a tadpole in us to make us depend on him for survival?||
If you play origin Karlach (or Shadowheart, and probably others too) you wake up on the floor rather than in a pod. When did Karlach hop on to the Nautiloid? Why was Wyll already pursuing her? Was she already trying to escape? Seems to me the appearance of the nautiloid in the Hells was what prompted her to jump aboard as a split-second impulse "here's my chance I'll take it". And how did she and Wyll get infected? The ship is being attacked by githyanki and dragons are breathing fire into it but it's still business as normal: grab person, put person in pod, infect person? Apparently Wyll origin implies that he killed the mindflayer that we see on the floor in the first scene?
It hurts the brain.

I believe it was the Early Access version of BG3 where Karlach says she was fighting in the hells and when she saw the nautaloid, she used that as an opportunity to escape. The only early access video I can find has the player character saying "I didn't see you aboard. Where were you?" but sadly they didn't select it

From what we can gather, Karlach & Wyll got on the Nautiloid in Avernus as part of their chase, and somewhere between the arrival in Avernus and the start of the prologue they got tadpole'd. I believe the Mindflayer in the room that Wyll kills is supposed to be indicative of a different Mindflayer putting a tadpole in their eyes, because the intro sequence with the main Mindflayer applies nicely to all of the other Origin characters, so making up a totally different one for Wyll & Karlach would be a pain

It's also hinted at that Karlach got on the Nautiloid pretty well in advance, so I can believe Karlach being taken to a pod like the other Origin characters, whereas Wyll's intro has him killing the Mindflayer in the tadpole room, so it's likely that he was the very last person to get tadpoled, broke free after insertion, and killed the one who planted it in him in retaliation

I really love the subtle commentary on the ||use or refusal to use Soul Coins||, and how it creates conflict with Karlach's morality that reflects how Hell made an impact on her in more ways than she's willing to confront.

My friends & I agree it's a not-so-subtle commentary that (cw: addiction talk) ||Karlach's eagerness to consume Soul Coins is very similar to substance use, and how people who are addicted will bend their own morals to convince themselves that they should use. We know that Karlach abhors people being played with by the devils and demons of Hell, but because she gets such an energy boost from Soul Coins (the boost alters her physiology and emotional state) she's willing to put the evil of using Soul Coins aside for the thrill they grant her. One can assume that in the Hells she might have used Soul Coins in battle not only to fight, but to make herself feel like she wasn't trapped against her will for just a moment.||

So far whenever I try to sway Karlach away from them she disapproves, and because I didn't like her reaction at the Grove when I said "yo, these are people's souls?" I never brought her to the Bug Bear in Act 2 to get more, because I always go "nuh uh, no girlie, youre not getting a fix" so there's likely some dialogue that I've missed about them, but from what my friends & I have experienced so far that's the commentary we can see

Since I've gotten all of the current achievements I've allowed myself to mod a little, and one of the fun things I've been doing to keep up with the ||Dragon stuck in polymorph|| idea is I downloaded the mod that gives you 5e spells, and I made a ||"Blue Dragonborn" who uses the cantrip Thunderclap as her "Breath Weapon" and she regularly uses Booming Blade to align with being a Sapphire Dragon, which in D&D canon have teamed up with Gith to take on Mindflayers who are getting too close to their dragon lair||

I've had a lot of fun making Jaheira a 7 lvls Circle of the Land & 5 lvls Eldritch Knight with Phalar Aluve & Belm. EK gives her access to Shield to make her harder to hit & Fighter gives her Extra Attack. It's not really an optimized build, but it feels more like canon-Jaheira :]

For my solo honor mode I used Invisibility to sneak my party members to the mushrooms and clamor them as soon as the fight started. ||I also cheesed it and made all of my other party members Open Hand Monks who were immune to Poison so when they emerged from the shadows they all took down the mushrooms in one turn and were immune to the poison cloud in the aftermath lol. And to make sure that my character (Shadowheart) stayed alive I cast Sanctuary on myself before confronting Ethel and just sped through the dialogue since I know it by heart||

This example fight is vs ||Orin||, but the strategy can be used against anyone, really. You can have someone pre-fight use Daylight on the weapon, have your other party members ||stand on the ritual circles so Cazador can't leech off of them||, and go to town! (jsut be sure to unequip/swap weapons from the daylight one while you can so you don't get that bug!!!)

Welp I am having a terrible bug in the ||Gortash|| fight. I have set up an Ubermegafuckton of explosives between the antechamber and where he is, and am hoping to trigger combat, get them all to come to me, then blow them up.
Except whenever combat begins and it gets to ||Gortash||'s turn nothing happens. He doesn't move or act, and I can't do anything. Like the quickbar disappears. concern

The key was to ||one-shot him so that he didn't get a turn||. Laezel snuck into the lil area where the ||helldusk boots|| are that is outside of all cones of vision, then placed down a fuckton of explosives directly next to ||Gortash||, including 3 runepowder barrels and the runepowder bomb. (The rest remained in the tunnel of death.) Then Lae'zel and the Karlach/Chav/Shadowheart groups cast globe of invulnerability on themselves. Finally Karlach sent a surprise teddy bear at ||Gortash||'s face. ||The initial explosion didn't kill him, but it triggered one of his traps to go off right in his face, and that is what got him. And I gotta say, I haven't really thought it through for anyone except Dav (Redeemed Dark Urge, long story short: her foster family were Selûnites, then ||Bhaal|| things happened, once ||Orin|| did the thing and she ended up in a vegetative state Selûne swooped back in to bring bby back to the light. So when Dav woke up on the nautiloid she had zero memories except her name and a voice telling her "ok fam, I know you feel like doing a murder, so to distract from that how about I give you a crash course on Our Lady and Saviour Selûne? Also here's some healing magic.")

Durge Rogue Monk Elisbet - Tiefling, orphaned as a baby and was adopted by a sweet-but-irresponsible woman whose lack of supervision allowed Elisbet the freedom to get into A LOT of trouble with the fellow urchins, and one day ||she witnessed somebody being stabbed in a back alley, and as she approached Bhaal spoke to her for the first time and she was compelled to finish the job||. After that day she started having frequent fainting spells, and after one fainting spell her adoptive mother was gone and she was alone. Years went by living on the streets, the fainting spells continued, one thing led to another, ||she got her butler and found the Temple of Bhaal||, and the rest is history.

my personal canon (and "how else can I make my character suffer?") tidbit is (cw: gore) ||Elisbet didn't ever figure out where her mother went/didn't dwell on it once she "found her father and family" so when was entrenched in the temple of Bhaal she paid it no mind, and it's not until she eats the Noblestalk from Derryth in Act 3 that she remembers one particular "fainting spell" where she stabbed her adoptive mom and pushed her out of a window while she was trying to flee and was impaled on the neighbor's fence below. Under-the-influence Elisbet just leaves her there, and when she eats the Noblestalk she becomes, understandably, horrified||

So a lil summary of the Epilogue of Chav-of-all-Trades, lvl 12 Sorlockbardadinzardruidcleronkrangeroguefighterbarian (she legally changed her name when she hit level 12). MAJOR spoilers
||- Nobody is a mindflayer, Gale sacrificed himself LaezelSob

Chav & Lae'zel remained in Faerûn for the reason I mentioned last night, and are raising the lil hatchling 🥹 while still battling Vlaakith's forces on the ground
Karlach & Wyll went to the hells (thank lAWD)
Shadowheart lost her parents ~~which means I couldn't get her to say the god's favourite princess line DANGIT~~ but gained one owlbear boi travelling companion||
Hugged everybody she could ||~~and tried to hug someone she couldn't ~~||
Gave Scratch, the Owlbear, and Tara many scritches
Drank all the alcohol. All. Of It. Then stole Shadowheart's shoes.
Kissed her GF while the owlbear was dancing in the background (see screenshot).
Played some music for the gang ~~even better than Milil I say~~, Lae'zel and Volo joined in!
Have some screenshots (warning, one of them is exceedingly sad)

I may go fetch that list of what I planned for Chav to do in this playthrough, and see how many things I achieved Thonking

||Her flames turning blue. It's never addressed, which I love. The first few times I saw the blue flames in Bav's playthrough I was like "Oh I see, she gets them when she's horny". But then a thing happens at the end of the game and I realised "Oh Alix you fool, she gets them when she's in love!" Which I felt was further supported by the fact that she has blue flames in all the new kiss animations. But then I see that? It extends to platonic love for her best friends? melt ||

One could also argue the feeling is just pure, intense happiness I think? Though the aforementioned thing at the end of the game doesn't happen during a particularly happy scene. Either way, whoever had this idea, they are a wonderful storyteller

||We could theorhetically cheese it by making Gale go KABOOM, which is honestly very tempting. The hardest part of that fight is getting to the brain: the dragon retaliates with a massive fire attack that deals a fucking INSANE amount of damage, the closest person to the crown MUST have Shield active or else they're getting beaned by multiple 6th level Magic Missiles in a single turn (they get an additional missile, btw!) Also the healing device by the brainstem is GONE for Honor Mode, so we HAVE to use the one before we ascend the final tower, or drink an Angelic Slumber Potion each before ascending, or else we're forced to reach the brain with missing spell slots||

||The healing device was already gone for Tactician so that's nothing new. In my 4 tactician playthroughs only 1 or 2 people have needed to take angelic slumber potions, the martials don't need it. Dealing with the dragon is not too hard if you make sure Yurgir gets the first hit in, since he is immune to fire so the retaliation won't do much to him. And we can kill the squiddy bois before our squiddy boi starts opening that portal!||

my revised "safe" plan after they "fixed" ||starting the fight invisible|| which I'm not confident will necessarily work, is to ||use scrolls of dimension door/misty step to get my party in front of the crown and have a globe of invulnerability down so the channeling doesn't get interrupted and we don't risk a wipe fighting anything||

||What sucks is that making Orpheus the Mindflayer means that Lae'zel will want to be with her people and she'll have to leave Sexy unless we pass a really hard Persuasion check. And if Lae'zel doesn't go the Githyanki are all but doomed. RIP to Voss and them||

||Alix had the numbers for us once, and that was without the optimization of what we're doing in our run. I think it was guaranteed over 100DMG per Flurry of Blows, and he gets 2 a turn + 2 regular attacks||

Oh of course. All I was saying is that if there's one class that can make it work it is definitely Monk, especially thief monk, with the sheer amount of attacks.
Karlach dealt comparable damage with her Catlach build, it served us well !
