Then I remembered watching an interview with the devs saying that not only can you throw health potions at people to heal them, you can also use them as an improvised weapon, and absolutely deck someone with a health potion to heal them. Never.

So I am currently in the ||House of Hope|| with Karlach, Shadowheart and Lae'zel. Lae'zel is of course a lvl 12 Champion fighter, with the Great Weapon Master feat, she also has a bloodlust potion for the day. In a single turn, she can dish out 3 attacks. If she action surges? 6 attacks. If she is hasted? 9 attacks. If she kills an enemy? 12 attacks. If she lands a crit? 13 attacks. Currently she is wielding ||Ansur||'s sword, and will do on average 32 dmg per attack iirc. That would mean she can deal about 450 damage in that turn. Can I achieve this insane amount of damage? I'll let you know when I fight ||Raphael|| tomorrow 👀 ||if I successfully paralyse him she can maybe down him in one turn||

(Looking to add a couple of 1d6 and 1d4 bonuses to all that damage but that will take more than one turn to set up, here's hoping!)

I have completed my second playthrough LOVED being a bard, literally had a +15 in persuasion by the end. The 2 reactions from Lora's rapier combined with Counterspell are so powerful in big Act 3 battles. Since I used lots of weapon attacks in combat I didn't cast that many spells, so all those full caster slots went to negating almost everything enemies threw at us. Chain Lightning from ||Cazador||? nope! Command from ||Evil Dream Guardian||? denied. Fuckin' Darkness spell from ||Shar's clerics||? Think again. Flame strike-adjacent attack from ||Raphael||? get ||rapha-fucked||.

You know, having advanced a little bit through my Dav, Dark Urge Selûnite playthrough, from the limited spoilers I know about the origin of dark urge, I am really wondering if the game considers the implications of being both a ||Bhaalspawn|| and a cleric of Selûne. Like Dav has had some (juicy juicy) arguments with Shadowheart about Selûne vs Shar, and she seems to know all about how Selûnites live their life, rites of passage and all. But how? That drow lady only has a black hole sprinkled with murder where her memory should be 😅
My headcanon? Selûne saw that amnesia had hit, decided to go for it:"Babe, time to fix you, here's a crash course in worshipping me, will you be my cleric uwu?"

From watching many interviews and more with the BG3 actors I had gathered that Samantha Béart is non-binary (she/they), but I've also noticed the actors use she/they for Karlach as well. Has anyone seen any confirmation of that in the game? I've only seen Karlach referred to as she/her I think.

||Basically it finally sunk in that I wasn't going to be able to save Karlach without having her go back to avernus. And even then, she may not be able to avoid the wall of the Faithless, assuming it exists in this version of the setting. Karlach has quickly become my favorite character, and was the romance option for my Paladin, who I based rather heavily on myself (usually what I do for first runs for the sake of ease) this kinda destroyed me for a bit. Because I either had my Tav kinda go against her wishes, or I had them watch her die. I get really into my role playing, so I kinda got hit with two sets of emotional damage, if that makes sense?||

So basically my monk girlie went KERCHOW on the watchers, Gale dealt with the other enemies until the rest of my party could reach them, and with a lot of luck we managed to save all of the Gondians.

You know, I ended up with a bunch of these with Bav! ||for sure the 24 Charisma, but boots of speed (never let go of those, cast freedom of movement on myself every day to deal with difficult terrain), the ring that gives you 3m extra speed and another one I that I could use to paralyse enemies if my hold monster/person/other failed. Gloves of Dexterity I for sure needed since I put everything into Cha and Con (got resilient/constitution feat). And the necklace that lets you paralyse people on crits, since tadpoley powers can give you a guaranteed crit that is some good shit.
One ring I wish I had picked up is the one that lets you cast enchantment cantrips as a bonus action (found in the jungle where you get Nyrulna). Slash you twice then insult your mother with vicious mockery! I ended up with Helldusk armour too, but before that the 17+Dex AC was perfect (they both result in the same AC)||

OOOOOOOOOOO I have an idea for an alternative armor!!! ||Instead of the Helldusk Armor, since she'll already have resistance to Fire, can Fly, etc., what if instead I give her the Armor of Agility? It's a special Medium Armor that still allows for full Dex Mod to be added to AC, so 21 AC already like Helldusk before other bonuses, no disadvantage on Stealth like other Medium/Heavy armors, AND I get +2 to all saving throws while wearing it||

I've been thinking about my Wizard girlie and I'm wondering if I want to make her a full Wizard. But Wizard doesn't really synergize well with other classes, so I have no idea what to multiclass her as. I'm tempted to dip 1 level into Storm Sorc for the fun Fly bonus, that way she keeps her Level 6 spell slots. But is it worth it? bahhhhh

And then if you simply carry on to ||the Mountain Pass or Act 2|| without either ||attacking the grove|| or ||completing the "kill goblin leaders" objective||, then ||Halsin will drop dead (even if you kill everyone but Minthara in the goblin camp)|| and so will ||the Tieflings||, but ||the grove|| will be fine and still accessible.

I'm playing this one as a confused "wtf is happening to me?!" Character, and she's quickly learning that the others get to be honest about their problems, but she can't be with hers...

This might be interesting! Playing as a ||genuinely good person, tainted by circumstance and lineage, and without her even knowing (because of the amnesia) she repeats the same experience of being a Bhaalspawn over again: she tries to seek help for her predicament from the people around her, and they all rejected her, so what innate good she is without Bhaals blood gets buried, once again, and she embraces the violence||

Bitch.

Speaking of!!! For the bonuses you get with Pact of the Blade, including using your Cha modifier when using your bound weapon, my Durge's new build is 6/3/3 CoS Bard/Thief Rogue/Archfey Warlock. At 24 Charisma (after act 3's Birthright hat & the Mirror of Loss) using the Duellist's Prerogative (which is essentially 4 attacks for her) she will do a minimum of 20 damage per hit with her rapier before other bonuses

Knowing what I know about the Emperor now, I unfortunately know that there is no way ||he would ever free Orpheus.|| Before I thought it was a bit of a loophole in the writing, but now that I've seen his admission to ||Stelmane|| and how that scene plays out I'm like......... yeah, no. ||The Emperor only cares about self-preservation. That is it. He uses Orpheus as a tool without a second thought because Orpheus' power gives him the independence he desires, and the decision to sculpt how his future could be. The Emperor uses Orpheus to manipulate the players for his own gain; defeating the Absolute is a means to an end, and Orpheus had a front row seat to his scheming & treachery this entire time. Orpheus only bargains with Tav after being freed because he recognizes that Tav was under The Emperor's manipulations (and gives Tav the benefit of the doubt despite what evil choices you can make in your game). Even if Tav convinced The Emperor to try, Orpheus would have 100% killed The Emperor given the chance.||

My Durge is primarily a Bard, and Jack of All Trades is just

I tested out the final build on a level 12 character (saved, went to withers, put all of the gear on since she's got it all already) and CoS Bard 6 / Thief Rogue 3 / Archfey Warlock 3 is deliciously good. You only get level 3 spell slots, but the ability to be in melee while still doing good numbers and having a decent number of spell slots is really good!

Bav was full bard, it is amazing, no need to do it co-op in any way

Bav had all of the spell slots, unlike Alia's build, so you've got different strengths, but the same basic thing applies: being able to mostly dish out damage through weapon attacks while still being a full caster is super powerful! (I'm really feeling the lack of it now playing a full caster that relies on her spells more)

One thing: don't sleep on Glyph of Warding. It's wonderful for choke points for mass enemies, and there is a Glyph that sends enemies flying, one that sets people on fire so you can set up a bomb trap right there wherever you'd like, a lightning one that amplifies with water so you can literally roast the ||Steel Watch|| by throwing a jar of water and having them walk through the glyph. It's amazing

You know what I am just now realizing? I'm like 10hrs into my Durge file and I still haven't met ||Raphael||

Does his intro happen later for Durge?

• Wyll is 24: 17 when he first met Mizora, and has been under contract for 7 years.
• I believe Karlach is in her early 30s. Youngest is late 20s, oldest is mid-30s. She was a teenager when she first entered Fuck Face's entourage, and she worked with him long enough that she was able to move her parents into a nicer part of Baldur's Gate. Then she was sold to Zariel and had to deal with the Blood War for 10 years, so we can speculate she was either a late teen or in her 20s when that happened. Remember Tieflings are slower to age than humans, so by Tiefling standards she was still technically considered a youth if it went down in her 20s.
• Gale is supposedly in the ballpark of 35-45 according to the Larian forums.
• Astarion is over 239, he was 39 when he was turned by Cazador.
• Shadowheart is 40-50 according to in-game notes in Act 3 (stupid half elves and their stupidly good complexion)
• Lae'zel is actually the youngest at a whopping 22 (!!!!!) according to in-game notes & Larian
• Halsin is 350 years young (I think D&D Elves live to be like 750?)
• Jaheira is 150 years old, she was in her 50s in BG1&2 and it's been 100 years since then
• Minsc was frozen in time, so his age is kinda irrelevant
• Minthara is over 100 for sure, but I can't find any solid "she is X years old" information. She does mention something she did "over 200 years ago" so at the very least we can ballpark her between 250 and 350.

Last time I did the ||House of Grief|| fight planned it so well, staying up the stairs with a wall of ice, and then of spikes (because why not) blocking everyone, so that gale could happily fireball them all.
Some nice lil lightning spells on the melted ice by Shadowheart turned the whole area into electrified water, it was beautiful
