Suspended cards are on the top left. TARDIS is really silly.
The turn after my Grasp was destroyed, I Farewell'd (Creatures and Enchantments), because the Smothering Tithe player also had OG Jin Gitaxis and a flipped Phyrexian Heliod.
I like that they're "the smothering tithe player"
not a specific commander, just tithe
Phyrexian Heliod was their commander.
Forcing everyone to draw a lot, winning with Approach of the Second Sun, etc.
Yeah I thought about heliod Eldrazi but ehhhhhhhhhhh that's kind of a dick deck
I think I'm going to start blowing up more Reliquary Towers.
Blue Red with targeted land destruction, yes.
And play Blood Sun more often.
The fair Blood Moon, except it messes with fetch lands more, and that is hilarious.
I'm liking new Quint.
LOOK AT THE LITTLE GUY
Don't mind the broken skull.
he's innocent
Oh they're move-in roommates.
Anywho, I think it's a 60 card deck. Counted out 30 and it was level with the other half
Built around Planeswalker Tezzeret
Cards pretty
But I do appreciate how there's more than one kind of artwork for the land cards?
It's a nice touch
Ok so (potentially) welcome to Cardboard Crack: the Game
In terms of learning how to play, personally I would recommend one of two methods: there's a lot of good YouTube creators for mtg content (Tolarian Community College is probably my go to recommendation, as he has a few playlists of both learning the game and various different formats of mtg), or if you wanna play mtg digitally, Magic the Gathering: Arena has a pretty good tutorial and is free to start, though admittedly the economy of the game is...not ideal at times. But if you want to just pick up the basic rules, it's not a bad way to go.
The third option is playing with people you know, which can also work too but it is dependent on what formats your friends play and their availability
These days, I would say the most popular magic format is Commander a.k.a EDH, which is a 100 card format usually based around a legendary creature of your choice, but there's a lot of other 60-card formats that are pretty fun too, and some like Pauper are (relatively) more affordable
The other Big Thing about Commander is that it is a Singleton format. You can only have up to one of any individual card in your deck (except basic lands), where most 60 card formats allow up to four of any individual card. You can have as many basic lands as you want, though.
Protection from EVERYTHING.
I somehow didn't realize there was a new Akroma. Might be fun to use her if I ever make a Kathril deck.
And then I will have to remember which keywords are on Akroma and which ones are on Kathril.
Posting it because I always forget one or two things Kathril looks for. Eleven keywords.
Keyword soup. Yum yum!
But I have to avoid getting ideas for new decks until I finish working on the ones that came before.
In each regular set, there's usually four different pieces of art for each of the basic lands. Plus there are often alternate art styles for each set... yeah, lots and lots and lots of different art.
There’s like a different art style in each set nowadays though. I even thought the upcoming Ravnica Reprinted had them.
(The extended and classic frame shocklands are still very pretty, will try to catch them all.)
I wanna open rav remastered but I don't know if I can budget it ATM 😭
It's not crazy expensive but I still don't think I can swing the $170-ish I'm seeing right now
Sometimes it's hard for me to see the synergies in decks or partners until I actually play them.
Yasmin for example, has "Tap: Exile top card of library, and until your next end step, you can play it", which obviously helps with the paradox stuff. What I missed is that by having the 13th Doctor put a +1/+1 counter on Yasmin, Yasmin will untap at end of your turn, and you basically get two activations instead of one per round.
But yeah, of the Doctor Who decks, I think Blast from the Past and Paradox Power are the easiest to upgrade because Historic (legendary creatures, artifacts and sagas) cards are everywhere, and Paradox (cast a spell from somewhere other than your head) triggers from so much -- Flashback, "Impulse Draw", Suspend!, Escape, Rebound, Cascade, Foretell, Adventure, and a lot more that I am forgetting.
Yeah I ended up needing a bunch more cards from paradox than the other precons just cause they fit so well elsewhere
Bruna's still my favorite.
Y'know, maybe I should build Bruna again. Let me be the seemingly obvious threat on the table.
Has anyone been keeping up with the story on Murders at Karlov Manor? The most recent one was... uh.. damn.
I haven’t been keeping up with the general lore in a while admittedly but I can always get up to speed quickly.

OH MY GOD
the fluff 🥺
I’m not a big fan of the general storyline, but I’m glad they have these parts around within it.
I’m here to revive this chat by showing yall something funny and broken that will be coming out as soon as I get my hands on the deck
May I introduce to you all infinite creatures and infinite grave resurgence and infinite damage, for free?
Steps:
Get Animar to +4/+4
Have Ashling out
Play Fury for free via Ashling’s evoke cost. It appears, ETB triggers, then dies, going into the grave. It then appears again as a token copy via Ashling’s ability. ETB triggers.
Play Graveshifter for free via Ashling’s evoke cost. It appears, ETB triggers, put Fury into your hand, then dies, going into the grave. Then it appears again as a token copy via Ashling’s ability. ETB triggers, put the original Graveshifter into your hand.
Repeat process.
You can do this with any Elemental or Changeling, but Fury is the one I actually own so I’m using that as example
Cards like Cloud Key & Urza’s Incubator can also give cost reduction towards Evoke, but Animar feels much more fitting and is only a three cost
Animar broken.
And with this method + flipped Avatar (creatures cost 1 blue, 1 red, 1 green, 1 black, 1 white less), it technically could get you infinite Animars too lmao
Infinite Avenger of Zendikar for even more infinite plants

This set is a pretty fun one to be sure.
Ashling deck wasn’t even in my possession for 24hrs and I already made it competitive
Also some of my success pulls for Lorwyn
Full deck image (cards that refuse to show for whatever reason are Lorwyn’s Graveshifter, Lorwyn’s Chromatic Lantern, and two Lorwyn Mountains)
Nice!
