Hey this is my 1st time doing anything like this so sorry if the questions are silly. Is this doable for someone new to this and can I do this without a soldering iron? I understand I can use a breadboard for the wiring but I am not sure how I would wire the potentiometers without one.

soldering is better, but people find ways around that and it should be good enough for figuring out if it's your cup of tea, and maybe you can make use of soldering tools at a maker space, school or someone you know

I got myself one of those cheap soldering irons off aliexpress and while it's not great I've managed to solder all the stuff needed on my nano board without messing it up, never did any soldering before this

if you live in germany i had to learn the hard way that theres a fee you will have to pay, atleast i had to, think it was like another 20€ which was kind of a bummer
