#Normalize loudness across devices (USB headset vs. TV over HDMI) using deej and Equalizer APO?

Do any of you use Equalizer APO or something similar to normalize volume levels? Stupid USB headset requires between 0-10% volume in Windows, otherwise its deafening. (So when I change from my TV/monitor audio to headset audio I would get my head blown off by the loudness)

Maybe fake an analog input in the arduino sketch to control that device specifically? (I'm not sure if master or device specific volume would take priority)

using soundswitch it preserve the volume of a specific device, so when you swap back to your headphones it'd be at the same volume you left them at

But the next time I touch the master knob it would jump to whatever setting it was at and blow my head off 😄

did you try

windows only - you can use a device's full name, i.e. "Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)", to bind it. this works for both output and input devices

#

I'm pretty sure "master" is just the volume of the currently active device

#

so if you just list all devices maybe it'll work?
