Hello, I'm lunat and I love boiling water a bit too much and boiling water in gregtech is terrible in both ways, so, about this:

Section One: LBBs suck

Wow, how unexpected. LBBs, or Large Bronze Boilers(literally all Large boilers, really), were a rookie trap for years in GT, gtceu/gtm are not an exception. You need 25-26 coke ovens to run one LBB canstantly, wasting all of its contents, both creosote and coal. And LBBs don't even have any benefits, like making a more energy dense steam, so it could be better transfered around the base, but that's not the main issue of LBB, of course.

Section Two: SingleBlocks are OP

Now that was really unexpected. To understand the scale of how mediocre LBBs are compared to HP liquid/solid fuel boilers allow me to introduce some maths:

So, 26 cokes generate 0.57(7) coal/s and 144.44(4) L/s, just so you can run ONE(one) LBB

At 480s per 1 coal SBoilers(HP Solid Fuel Boilers) eat about 0.002 coal/s, so you can place 288.5 boilers or generate up to 4327.5 Steam/Tick. Wow, that's quite a bit of steam, right? But that's not the ful picture yet

At 180s per 250L or creosote LBoilers( HPLiquid Fuel Boilers) eat about 1.38(8)L/s, so about 104.6 LBoilers, or 3104 Steam/Tick

7467 Steam/Tick or roughly 117 LVA for a cheap price of steel, iron and constant supply of wood.

But noone would make this any time early, so let's be realistic:

Ok, here's the sollution: just build one.

With ONLY ONE coke you can make:

0.02(2) coal/s, aka you can supply 11 SBoilers for 166 Steam/Tick
5.5(5) L/s, aka you can supply 4 LBoilers for 120 Steam/Tick

Literally easy 4.5A of LV just with one coke and not so much grind, just perfect for start of LV. While LBB can't even heat up to produce it's max 800 Steam/Tick.

My point is, this stuff needs a huge rebalance. Singleblocks just destroy LBBs in terms of efficiency, for both solids and liquids, and LBBs have no upsides to that, literally a huge waste of space, which makes 10x times less if you have a time to make singleblocks or just setup Light Fuel ASAP.

They should also add something more energy dense than steam. Pipes with the flow rate to handle steam are very expensive. Maybe molten metals, helium, or molten salts as a heat transfer medium.

My name is Lunat. I'm 26 coke ovens into the steam generation. My house is in the northeast section of a 100% humidity biome, where all the water is, and I am not married. I work as an employee for german coal generator maintenance, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't drink, but I breathe smoke a lot. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm creosote and doing about twenty minutes of replacing my supplementary array of solar boilers before going to bed, I usually have problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning knowing well that my HP Liquid Boilers can supplement me my sweet spare 117 LV amps. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a life dedicated to boiling water. I take care not to trouble myself with any power issues, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with the powergen, and I know that is what brings me 7467 Steam/Tick. Although, if I was forced to use LBBs I'd make a thousand of them.
