about wafers it's not just "oh no it's rotated", it's lack of shadows maybe?
it doesn't look like it's just different angle, it looks like it's literally an ellipse
even chips do have shadows even tho it's just 2d rotation, not 3d rotation

I think adding more shadows will instead do the opposite and make it look rounder, another solution might just changing the texture or shine angle

also fixed crushing wheels, electrolytic cell and altered the ebf casing to my personal taste
I think I want this front background to be transparent

newer is more readable and more pleasant to look at, but it isn't gregtech with the lack of borders around the elements, this way it reminds me more of other mods' multiblocks like mekanism

you calibrate ur display to make it look correctly, good gamma and colors
if ur gamma is too low you wont see details in shadows
if too high everything will be overblown
oh yea definitely
and contrast is lost in both instances
you generally calibrate ur colors using whitepoint
because white is made up of r g b colors
so if they're in the balance, white will look correct
if not it can be too warm, too blue, too green etc.
there are many witepoints but the most accepted and "pro" one is d65

d65 is used by most pros doing anything with content on displays
like movies or art
is basically the color of sunlight
so, well its the most natural
because its literally made to mimic sun
most monitors are callibrated much too cold out of the box
so too much blue

is the secondary color thats doing the green
my thinking is: take the ingot sprite, upload it, then the frame and compare numbers
then try to lower green untill they about match
or just make a color palette that's based on material color and make the frame from the ground up
i did that when making my texturepack

Partly yeah, the original GTM colors were really awful to tell apart and left a bunch of materials looking gray or faded. We moved the primary and secondary colors of basically every periodic element back to be more vibrant or saturated as 1.12

As screret mentioned most colors should be final, there's a few I may tweak but it shouldn't impact anything as drastically as before
making things easier to tell apart is always better, I missed some color that are quite nice
tho I like using different shapes better than making vibrant colors
Yeah I started to work on more material sets as well just got swamped with other projects and I am taking a mental health break until Jan
Namely started to work on a few gem variations, tools, and hpca stuff but some limitations of ctm stopped me from getting as far as I'd wish

They're pretty crappy and I have a few tweaks I wanna make to them
I wasn't too skilled with base casing textures at the time haha
tho I like your advanced computer casing more than what I made

Might give it a try, I like most about GT but I don't like how GT uses tools in crafting tables
MI uses 1 singular tool and a anvil thing for component crafting
Until you get the machine recipes ofc
Later on I think most things have a machine for crafting anything
early game GT kinda eh for me
MI early game is eh until you get the quarry, which is like a few hours compared to not being able to automate shit in gt until 80 hours in at hv
