Progress!!!!
Where EBF
EBF not yet. Not even at LV
Discovered Nether. Brought back sulfur. Alloyed rubber. Built a couple thermionic valves
why all the steam stuff ? nice work though !
Because it is how progression in GTCEu is made to be. Alined with Steam quest line and Steam age advancement tab.
but you don't need the steam oven or grinder to complete it.
Indeed. I got proud checking all the steps, even optional ones though.
It's possible you're playing a slightly easier modpack. Steam Oven and Steam Grinder are much better than any alternatives for normal GT progression. Ridiculously good in fact (will often last into MV/HV)
ok. i would have gone crazy from the extrer crafting
i would have gone crazy from the 5x slower processing 👍
Now with a ceiling and an underground for LV stuffs to come
Roof and attic added. Solar boilers moved in the roof. No fancy materials, because it is what I can afford right now.
It's really nice looking ! Not a lawn base ;).
Glad someone ported the Emissive textures I implemented for GT5U GTNH to GTCEu
And those random client ticks to spawn particles I auso initiated in same GT5U
Gotta have 20x more coke ovens and blast furnaces XD
Probably, but until I can automate wood, this is not gonna happens
здорово! покажи нам котлы на крыше
Котлы находятся здесь. Спасибо за тренинг меня русский.I'm still a beginner: https://www.duolingo.com/profile/LaGris2
I thanked nokko for helping me train my beginner Russian.
Ага, вот котлы! Не распознала изнутри, а снаружи они симпатично выглядят.
Не за что! Учись хорошо.
you’re welcome, good luck learning :)
Added 10 more HP Steam Solar Boilers for a total of 14 + 1 Bronze Solar Boiler from earlier. For sustaining 128 EU/t I needed 256L/t of steam.
Deployed steel pipes for enough throughput. Ran the steam down to a corner of my basement.
And TADA! I can run my first EBF non-stop. Smelting first aluminium dust circuit-2 with Nitrogen. As long as it is daytime, it has enough steam to feed the 4 LV Steam Turbines at the back.
YOOOOO
+1 for having a non-cobbleton base, and +1 for running first EBF work off nitrogen (that's unusual)
Not sure AE2 is that close. I have yet to setup my first circuit assembler and and transitioning out of steam ASAP. It is gonna be a bumpy road, though the MV Age which costs 2 basic electronic circuits per good one at best using the circuit assembler. So, for the very next step I am focuced on optimising circuit production costs.
Slow but progressing anyway.
I've been landing a foot into early MV and now trying to ramp-up my power with automated coal.
I just built this extra room and installed my very first Pyrolyse Oven. It has 2×LV Power Hatch that will receive 4ALV from 4×LV Steam Turbines. I can't build MV power hatches yet, so it will be good as-is until I can.
In the backyard there is an already operational GreenHouse that's just above this underground room with the Pyrolyse.
I also need to setup item transport, conveyor to extract logs and some filter-out saplings to trash or route to an overflow voiding drawer until I have plans with brewing those into biomass. (One problem at a time). Once it is done, the Pyrolyse Oven will have logs to cook.
When I am done with it, Ill need to work out that Large Bronze Boiler if I can produce charcoal fast enough for continuous operation of it.
Why not prepare for an switch to either Diesel or Benzene tho?
That will allow it for sure. I did not deploy much coke ovens because those are slow and I wanted to invest in better tech ASAP
2 coke ovens, was just good enough to boostrap and help me craft torches
Wood and charcoal fully automated now.
Item pipe receive logs and saplings from GreenHouse output bus.
Down it has whitelist filter for logs. Horizontally it has output to drawer with installed void upgrade to store 2048 saplings max.
In the room bottom, the Pyrolyse Oven receives logs and processes them with circuit-1. Creosote is setup as void excess fluid so the charcoal production does not get blocked.
Works great. Now time for the large boiler.
nice
good to see you have lots of power and items :).
My first copper vein is now totally exhausted.
Since my drill tip has only 178 durability left. I wish there would be a way to change it before it breaks. Is there?
There isn't
But you can try if it's repairable in the Anvil
Anvil only show enchants
there literally is
you just craft it with a different tool head
you can even craft a drill with a wrench head and stuff like that
Ah that's very good to know. Did I miss it in a quest text?
maybe, not sure. not the most familiar with the quests in the pack, im not much of a quest writer myself
if it is missing though it would be a good thing to mention
was thinking about making a JEI info page for that too so that its harder to miss. you dont see those recipes in jei because its not actually a registered recipe but a custom crafting handler instead
like how combining vanilla tools in crafting table to restore durability works
