The "Repair Movie" feature's so fucking useless
I'm gonna calm down if someone helps me fix this fucking video bug
Right now this is my mood
It'll change back to normal if someone helps me fix this
So right now I'm waiting
reinstall wrapper then? no need to act like a whole episode of helluva boss
My other videos work
But not the one I'm making
I even made another video yet it worked
So I ain't gonna reinstall Wrapper
This only has to do with the XML of my recent video
Not gonna work anyways
have you at least tried it
Fine then
I'll reinstall but I bet it isn't gonna work
Reinstalling Wrapper will do very little if anything to fix a malfunctioning video XML, in some cases it may even introduce more issues especially when the video uses characters containing custom character assets
That's why I'm not doing it
Also what does "Upload a Char" do in Wrapper 2.0.0?
Does it means "Character"
Upload a character XML
When I said it I was right. Kris said it will actually get worse when you reinstall Wrapper
Uploading a video project was a feature only present in W:Off v1.2.3 and earlier (for video XMLs made in v1.2.3 and earlier) and in v2.1.0 beta (for video ZIPs from v1.3.0, v2.0.0, or v2.1.0)
Uploading character XMLs was implemented since v1.2.x
Hmmmmm, I downloaded a ZIP of my video and there's various XML files.
Which one should be fixed?
Then I'll upload it in another Wrapper version
I doubt even v2.1.0 would interpret it properly
Hmmm
Remake the video, copy and pasting the scenes would probably do the trick
Copy and pasting the scenes instead of adding a scene would do the trick
Because it's the new scene that's added without copy and paste that's corrupt
Be aware that this would reset TTS voice preferences for characters in the scene to the default Joey when entering new TTS voice lines
I also suggest regularly downloading video ZIPs for backups, and try uploading to a fairly stable v2.1.0 commit in case of issues
Good idea
I believe this commit of v2.1.0 was the one I used
https://github.com/Wrapper-Offline/Wrapper-Offline/tree/b3179f8e0cdbabc6d15e7737f604e55ae8f2487d
Some later commits apparently caused major breaking issues in that version
Take note that v2.1.0 is only available as raw code and must be started manually
This is better than reinstalling Wrapper
In fact you said that reinstalling Wrapper is mostly useless, and you may be right
Have both versions installed, keep v2.0.0 as the main version, regularly download backup video ZIPs, in case of issues upload the video ZIP backup to v2.1.0
Okay then
But still hopefully Wrapper will have a plan to make the videos less buggy.
Even though your help is actually useful
You sure this version is good?
That was the specific commit I used.
I rarely use v2.1.0, but I found that specific build to work well enough.
Also are you sure 2.1.0 will do well to play the video?
I doubt it unfortunately unless you are somehow able to recover it
By the way, try sending the video ZIP of the affected video to me in DMs so I can again try to see what I might be able to do, you gave me a little idea
I'll try deleting scenes via direct XML editing (something I am already used to doing because I still use v1.2.3 as my main instance, but that I would experiment with now on v2.x), then readding them until I can isolate the issue
Okay then
Be sure to also send any required custom character assets for any characters that used them
