#every time I record wrapper lags
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
bandicam is, not the best.
I would (personally) switch to OBS studio
as it is free and doesn't have any water marks.
Look up a screen recording tutorial
I use an app called "Captura", set up with these settings:
• Video mode: SharpAVI
• Codec: Either Lagarith Lossless Codec or H.264 (via x264) in single pass lossless mode (VFW codecs downloaded and installed separately)
I tend to use lossless codecs throughout the entire production pipeline up until upload, YouTube compresses it anyway
That app does NOT watermark
It's open source, but now abandoned by its original developer (though still available)
Set it to sharpavi instead of ffmpeg (the ffmpeg will not work)
Also separately download the codecs you will need
which are Lagarith and x264 VFW
Wait
I'll get back to you when I get back on my PC
I'm taking a little break
Be warned, this recorder may be more prone to failure on high resolutions and/or high intensity scenes, try setting desktop resolution to 720 or 768 p.
Under this section
This is how it's configured in Captura
Make sure "Audio" is checked (enabled)
Then enable the audio device(s) whose output you want Captura to capture
Also, warning when using Lagarith: Lagarith must be converted/transcoded to another codec, such as H264, before uploading to video sharing sites.
Lagarith in Captura only works when set up in a specific way, Captura will tell you anyway which settings it wants in Lagarith
Also use VirtualDub2 for the conversion to another codec, especially if you don't have another video editor that can handle Lagarith
Just to make it easier from the get go, just use x264 (or if speed/performance matters, try the faster but less efficient Xvid codec)
Restart Captura, it should detect it
I'll share with you my x264 configuration tomorrow
Sorry I almost forgot
I was busy finishing up a grounded video for upload
It's already so late in the night (currently 10:50pm in my time zone)
With x264vfw codec installed, find "Configure x264vfw" or "Configure x264vfw64" in Windows search function
my current x264vfw configuration when lossless
Colorspace is set to either YUV4:2:0 or keep input colorspace
When I don't need lossless, I set it with these
Zero Latency and VirtualDub hack are both on so I could use it properly with VirtualDub
Tuning is set to Animation for GoAnimations, for gaming videos I suggest switching tuning to None
not necessarily
^^^
See here
can i see how you tried to configure your captura settings
send a screen shot or recording of how you tried to configure it
try increasing quality to 100 on audio and see if it makes any difference
is it still to no avail?
also for fps, change it to 24
10fps is too low and will appear laggy
is the audio still refusing to budge?
screenshot of that warning?
for audio, select only the device that is actually used for playback
if you use speakers, or if your headphones are connected to the speaker jack in the back, select speakers, and uncheck everything else
if you use headphones connected to the front jack, select headphones
it refuses to work?
audio, video, or both?
enable virtualdub hack and zero latency and see if that makes any difference
or is it still to no avail
also on which player app are you attempting to play the video
they may not work there
try using "media player classic" or vlc
this one plays in media player classic
i still need a test where you try to play a sound so i could actually check
just take it to my dms now because this is already about a specific recorder and not wrapper itself
sorry for the delayed response, there was a power cut
btw media player classic is found at mpc-hc.org
