GIF is being converted to JPG

I was exploring the project and found that if I do
chat.sendMessage(media, {caption:"something"});

I am receiving the msg and media too but its jpg not gif which I sent. Any feedback on this will be appreciated.

i dont use GIFs, but i saw many times here that you will need to download the "Chrome" app itself

But someone that really send GIFs will be more helpful

Thanks @frosty mauve for coming back, I have chrome installed in my system and I have a chrome browser(not sure if it's relevant) itself.

The media which I used here is being pulled by using .fromUrl(url, {unsafeMime:true}) method.

gifs in wsp are mp4s without sound, so youll have to convert it to mp4 and then send it with the flag sendVideoAsGif set to true

It is very confusing because you can’t send gifs

You have to send a short mp4 file without audio, pupetter path and sendVideoAsGif as true
