#CS Fitness Homies
1 messages · Page 5 of 1
There’s absolutely a gym there
Yeah probably outside the hotel
If you gotta pay for a temp membership that’s the cost of gains my man
yeah but I also have a travel guide thig everyday, that takes up the entire day
I’d have to skip parts of the travel to go
and honestly I don’t care that much
its leg day 4 me
Lower day
Finally done with fuckin lunges and can move on to the light exercises like leg curls and calf raises

10/10 exercise
feel so fucking pumped after barbell exercises
my upper body:
my lower body: 💀

Any HIIT homies
chest day 4 me 2 day
what does your routine & exercises look like for a week?
Idk I looked at a video for HIIT today and I decided to do HIIT today
Ive never done HIIT before but I've heard of it
I used to have like a weird ppl split where I hit two of the ppl, so e.g. one day would be push and pull, other day would be push and leg, etc
I did strong lifts to start with that was my intro
ez upper, lower and repeat
And then I did some bodyweight only exercise because COVID happened and I didn't buy a weight set
Like the one from Reddit calisthenics or something
And then I did some exercise that was a modified strong lifts but instead of pendlays you do yates rows and you add bicep curls and pullups/chinups
It's rpetty easy if you just write down a routine and just follow whatever that routine is
Tbh PHUL is about as complicated as that weird ppl routine I made up because it has 4 different days
yeah
maybe i need to carry a book to the jim🤓
actually rob recommended an app
maybe i will try that
lol
You need to record the last weight you lifted on each type of exercise, the number of reps & sets etc
That's how you can actually properly do progressive overload
That said when I started lifting again a few months ago I didn't do that so rip
I read discord instead

Aka shitpost
anyone here like to work out one body part over another?
i love working out lower than upper
idk how to enjoy doing chest, biceps
Checked out RepCount
it’s a free app
it’s great for recording workouts, very helpful for measuring progressive overload
it’ll show you previous rep count, weight, and notes for a previous exercise

PHUL gang
damn ure a true jim lad
going to jim on christmas
my jim is closed
so my ass was chillin]
i do unilateral lunges with barbell on my back
like backward lunges
i think that is what killed me for sure + the calf raises
i missed jim for like 4 days before that bc of exams and travel

but feels good now

oh yeah im in a diff country rn

yeah we dont celebrate but it is a holiday!

will be back in US in jan
i might have to get a planet fitness membership lmao
these gym prices are crazy
Planet fitness mid
Lol I don’t workout on weekends anymore
So no Xmas workout for me
i love barbells, they have that right?
Chain gyms are like 15-20 a month right
i'll have to pay the initial fee and crap
never paid for a jim in the US
i was using college for a long time

basically i will be in SF, San Jose and i am reading they got good jims
santa's sled?
It's for like pushing and pulling
Like literally doing it not push/pull type exercises
Ya
niceee
True full body exercise
gotta deliver those presents

looks fun tho
but it will only be effective if the gym is huge

ohhh okay
You load it high
And you can also just rotate pushing and then pulling
But idk I never tried

interesting
would this be considered functional training?
instead of like body building training?
There's a few competitions for this
Theoretically so is a dealift
which fits the definition of functional
Idk what is considered functional tbh
yeah
I agree
Functional training is a classification of exercise which involves training the body for the activities performed in daily life.
im going off this lul
I think you do this for strength training for performance in other sports
Like jump rope
yeah
But idk I wanted to try it
yeah
I did sparring as a kid
but im too weak, i broke my arm twice lol
I remember I was like in the teen/adult class and fought like an adult as a 14 year old
thats why im going easy on the weights too

chad
(as training/fun, not competitively)
I don't think we kept track of points or who won even
anything to do with fast responses, i would be intersted in doing
And then the main sensei left mysteriously
And my family needed to save money
So we stopped
which state u from?
I wore like the dojo t shirt once and then some random dude at a store was like "you know sensei X?" (x being the guy that left)
So idk I guess he was pretty popular
It was high-key kinda a mcdojo tho
sensei sounds like such a bad-ass word
what that
I remember being a really undisciplined kid then
lol
Idk it's just Vietnamese martial arts
Vietnam and Korea actually don't have a super long history of martial arts, I think like taekwondo and vo Vietnam (the Vietnamese martial art) were made in the 1900s
They don't have you spar for a while
Well actually it depends on the school
At the mcdojos they probably won't have you spar for a while
yeah i would like to go easy lmao
But yeah I actually don't know how to get into martial arts as an adult tho
lol
yeah as a kid I think a ton of my friends did martial arts
karate
i did soccer
They also made me memorize random trivia like how the nunchuks are from Okinawa and they're a farming tool to hand mill rice or something

Tbh most of my martial arts knowledge comes from manga at this point
maybe to spread the culture
Oh yeah also from Kung Fu Panda
Dude each of the three moviez represents a different aspect of the self you're supposed to master
Body, mind, and heart
And this is like a legit Kung Fu/Karate thing not something DreamWorks made up
Anyway I'm ranting about random stuff now
Nah sleds are def a strongman exercise
Strongman is all about feats of strength that are mostly mass based
Like all the dudes are fuckin massive and have a big gut but are ungodly strong
Yeah I saw the Eddie videos
Also the funniest thing about Eddie and Brian is that Eddie looks so small next to Brian
But the dude is fuckin 6’3 lmao
Did u watch. What “i eat in a day”
Mf munching 10k+ calories
Literally like 10+ meals
Its insane
Brain shaw
Brain
U seen the sumo what I eat in a day
Same except Japanese shit like udon noodles or whatever the fuck
Less protein too, obviously from their physique
Yep dude eats like 12k calories daily lol

Has anyone lifted with a ripped callus
I lifted with scoliosis does that count
legs tomorrow
PULL

Where you guys get your nutrition advice?
Stfu Tony @simple kelp
I have the theory that @simple kelp and @simple kelp are the same person
$3 day pass tho
i wanna move to japan
Nah
Japan is cringe
Ayo this isn’t fitness
Any kotg simps
it took me 2 days to finish this
chest 2 day
btw, what upper body muscles should I focus to look bigger?
traps, shoulders & chest in that order right?
and it doesnt matter if I do barbell or dumbells right?
as long as its the same weight
I love barbell
yeah i like smith too
i dont have to worry about my arm trajectory in smith tbh

just my upper chest form
BUT I WANT 1 SEX PLEASE
any muscle I should give preference to?
like shoulders over pecs, etc?
Dumbbells better for balance
You will lift lower weight tho
I also have scoliosis tho so
Smith bad because part of the work is stabilizing the weight + idk the angle is not straight up for bench
thats fine bc i do incline chest press anyways
You should aim to have a balanced physique usually
this i agree
To look good
the issue is my arm is too fucking weak
i broke my arm twice and i cant lift super high weights
i feel with barbell atleast the weight gets distributed well
dumbell the weight is too concentrated on my wrists
Might be ur grip idk

You might be bending it a bit
im still new, u might be right
I don't have that issue at keast
skill issue
Dumbbell setup is harder so maybe it's the setup
yeah
Dumbbells I lift like 80% of my barbell
wdym
Weight
I think mainly because failure is scary cuz I have the adjustable ones that can get damaged if I drop them
Ohhh so dumbell is holding u back?
okay
That's supposed to happen, everyone lifts lighter on dumbell
another reason to go with barbell
But I was saying I should still be able to lift more
but u right i should practice more with dumbell too
stabalizing is imp
i do squats on barbell without the smith machine
i only do chest press on smith
This is to hopefully help my very minor knee pain
But yeah kotg
Apparently all the knee science doesn't exist and if u have knee pain ur just fucked
But then some guy decided to invent a training program to increase flexibility in the legs and train the tibialis anterior
Anyway, basically no other place has clear information on what exercises you can do to address knee pain and there are very few studies on which exercises are good for knee pain
Upper back
so delts and lats
Just realized the prog I follow only has 1 exercise for delts
Use flat machine press
It’s goated
it stablizes and guarantees the arm path for me
If you don’t care to work on stabilizers yourself

:breaking_pallas:
knees and toes. knees and toes
heads
Need head workout

There's only neck workout, head has no meaningful muscles to train sry
Okay mfs i need a killer back workout
Do side hyperextensions
It's an erectus spinae which no one ever directly targets
I'm gonna stop deadlifting so much from now on
Deadlifts are bae
Ya that's why I'll stop doing them so much
L take
I'll do like sldl and rdl for hams
for back i do lats pulldowns, rows with barbell and machine thats it
what prog are u following now?
Need to work lower back & core
Row machine is pretty pog
Running 7 miles everyday with 1 30 min light day and a really long run on sundays
my main focus now is to look big
so focusing on big muscles
im skinny fat rn
Bruh

Train ur core so u don't die etc
how u planning to encorporate gym into this
I’m a runner 🤷♂️
Lifting 2 days a week after my runs/workouts

but i thought most exercises use the core in some form
i gotta train that seperately
Have u heard of barefoot running
?
Yeah you should, mostly the big lifts like squats and deadlifts do somewhat but seems like you're skipping them
no I do that. I am following this: https://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/phul-workout
Yeah I don’t trust the streets
damn u crazy
I’ve never suffered of knee problems
Ok then yah u can just follow that, you said the only thing u did for back was whatever u said so I thought u skipped deadlifts
But again I’m very jacked in my legs. The muscle absorbs the impact
ohh nono lol
It's supposed to be the tibialis that absorbs which no one ever trains
Leg day is my absolute favorite
But idk
💯
i love working out my lower so much more than upper
but its not gonna help me look big
I'm gonna become a knee god like kotg
Do hill repeats
Hopefully
i can sense the burn already

Hill repeats are a type of running workout that involves sprinting up a steep hill and then jogging or walking back down.

They suck but they make you develop mad strength
Like I went from 7:50 a mile to 7:20 by doing them consistently
holy shit that nuts
HIIT
do yall do any other activity than gym/running after work
i feel like i get so tired
I'm trying to do HIIT now , just with jump rope tho
My cardio is terrible
I tutor children and learn foreign languages
no way I can do gym in the morning,
i'll have to do it at night and then😴
I probably gotta quit the tutoring tho
how u have energy?
It's just 1-2 hr per week commitments
Honestly I would be much more fluent by now if I just spent more time, I can barely hold a conversation still
I have home gym
I start like 6-8pm
even I;ll have to do that i think
no way I can wake up at 6am, do gym till 8
go to office and work properly
I started gym during covid
i get super sleepy after gym
Or actually right before covid
i started this*June
But yeah I had a long break because scoliosis killed motivation
And I gained back all the weight I lost
how much u weigh?
YO BROSIKES
I was on the precipice of overweight and normal for my height
Went down to normal, now back on the precipice
thats bmi tho, right?
bmi is crappo

That's doable if u follow all the rules and stuff
what are the rules
It's better to chase like habits and appearance and stuff
I mean if you are strict enough with exercise and diet
thats pre ez
ive already started to eat healthy food
im gonna do calisthenics tho
i like the calisthenics look more
At this stage you should just do whatever you can to lose weight and worry specifically what look you like after you gain a baseline of strength and fitness knowledge and discipline imo
Ya
Rock climbing
It’s nice and relaxing
Plus hot girls
BE PREPARED FOR HOT SWE SUMMER 2023
EXACTLY

im not too far from my goal
Tbh I don't trust my scale with the body fat or whatever
I just use it for the weight
ya but its a decent range
Yeah I was planning to just vibe but I need to write another program
and is it bad to switch programs every week
Or else my gains will be bad
i am doing phul now
I wanted to incorporate knees over toes guys exercises into my program
And do less big lifts because scoliosis
Do more calisthenics stuff and add a hiit day
It will probably be some custom thing that I make up
nicee
Maintain a calorie deficit of 1 pound a week
It’s the best way
im too new to make my own prog
working out and stuff won’t burn nearly as much as people think
ya 90% of it is eating/diet
the best way is to track caloric intake and maintain a deficit
I was so happy when I lost my first like 20 lbs
I used to keep a basic food journal and write in red "bad" foods like ice cream and stuff and in green "good" foods like chicken breast and protein shakes and stuff
And if you just avoid the scary red it works pretty well
But I stopped doing that so much
so how often yall do cheat days during calorie deficit?
its a life style brosike
dont think about cheat days n shi
eat whatever u want but just be mindful of ur intake
okay
Alright today I'm going to try to figure out how I can do Nordic curls with the furniture I have in my house
the calorie calulator is saying I need to eat: 2000 per day
I run to feel alive
for me the pump feels good and thats about it
then I am DEAD after the gym
i go to sleep immedietely
sometimes without dinner
I need to start running

I never get doms on shoulders or upper back
any idea if its okay to switch programs?
like I am doing phul now but it doesnt have a ton of focus* on shoulder exercises
The reason to stay on a program is because there's a clear strategy to progressively overload and you can track progress clearly
You can add or change a part of it no one is stopping you
will that confuse my body while growing muscle
You want to confuse the muscle

Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals how he used to shock his muscles into growth.
Read this article here if you want to build muscle fast the natural way
http://nationiron.com/how-to-build-muscle/
http://nationiron.com/how-to-get-a-bigger-chest/
I count prime numbers before my workouts
Prime numbers give me strength
This is high key bro science tho even if Arnold is the goat
got itttt thanks
Magic u seen this video? https://www.reddit.com/r/CrazyFuckingVideos/comments/znrufc/what_kind_of_pushups_are_these/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
I think u shared it or someone in this server did
It's just really exaggeratted burpees
is anyone taking syntha 6
imma do this to confuse the muscles
the bro science is real with this one
but i get your point
Oh yeah I got a jar once
It's fine
Tastes somewhat better than others and has cool flavors
Ur talking about the whey right
yeah
i've been taking whey isolate
but was wondering if there are better options
or what most people usually take
Whey is somewhat overrated, there are other protein bases as well
I have high cholesterol so I like fiber in them usually
Hemp for example also has good fiber
i did some tests and apparently my urine has a lot of protein
Imo worrying about every gram of protein isn't necessary, you can make up for it by adding an extra scoop anyway
doc says i need to reduce my protein intake
Are u taking creatine
kidneys not working as well as they shoud
pissing away money
ikrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
apparently its called CKD
everyone has it already
mine is a bit more
Idk man if u have a condition you never knew about
yeah this is it basically
so i did a full body checkup and this showed up
You can either go see your doctor again and talk about your options if you wanna lift weights, see another doctor, or see a specialist
Nephrologist
House MD

House did his residency in nephrology and infectious diseases
what does this mean?
1RM x10?
RM is rep max
what is 10%?
context: watching this video
https://youtu.be/qVek72z3F1U
Get my full 10 week Powerbuilding Program here: https://shop.jeffnippard.com/product/the-powerbuilding-system/
What's my Powerbuilding System all about?
‣ my best strength & size program to date designed for intermediate-advanced lifters
‣ you have the option to select a 4x/week or 5-6x/week version
‣ an Excel spreadsheet for tracking your pro...
10% of the weight
If your one rep max is 100lb you lift 10lbs
But usually it's just the bar
I guess people can lift over 450lbs sometimes
got ittt, thanks
how do you figure out your RM?
i have just been progressively overloading from like 2.5 pounds
now i am at 40pounds squat
You just try to lift it
40+45 right?
But yeah you literally just have to try doing it, it's usually pretty dangerous tho tbh
idk what u mean by 40+45
The bar is 45lbs
You should count bar weight
ohhh okay
These % stuff also count bar weight
You hear like 135 225 315 because usually the biggest plate is 45lbs, you get one plate each side so it's 90, so 135 is 1plate on each side, 225 is 2, etc
wait wait
you are saying the bar is 45???
wat
Yes
my bars are not that heavy
U go to a gym right?
who asked bro
Or did you buy a weird one
yeahhh
Or use an ez curl one
the bar i lift is not curved, its staright
Yeah it's probably 45lbs
Unless your gym is really cheap or planet fitness or smthn idk
im in another country rn so maybe they have a lower weight?
yeah
i think u right
Oh they do kg but it's still around 45lbs
when i was in college, the bar was heavier
Like 20kg
yeah so max I lifted is 30kgs without bar: which is 66 pounds without bar
bro no way the bar in my country is 20kgs tho
Idk man u might've gotten stronger
Because there's no fucking bar that's different weight unless they skimped out heavily
i mean it looks like a proper gym bar. its metal and kinda heavy
the college i went to the bars were def more heavy
Lower weight ones don't have the strength to lift more than like 350lbs or so in plates
Which fit people definitely can pass
yeah
Anyway you gotta do the math on the bar

Man I just realized, my hip being behind might be due to muscle imbalance
GLUTEUS MAXIMUS
Got a membership finally
first day back
It was $60
It’s so damn expensive
I don’t habe one near me
all the gyms near me are hella expensive
Weekly pass here is $50
Cause of that I didn’t work out for 2.5 weeks
I can’t afford $100 for 2 weeks

Nah
I’ve never even heard of that
we have anyone fitness near by
There’s like a really small gym by here too
but it’s more cardio

wait this includes the initial fee and everything?
rest day for me
There’s no initial fee
but yeah everything else yeah
it’s also cause they force you into using all of the stuff a membership can give
like classes, access to massage machines, tanning beds, all that kinda stuff
And you can’t get a membership without that unless your under 18

i think i might have to do that too in san jose/sf

yo ngll
idk if im gas lighting myself
or not
but im actually already starting to see some decent "gains"
not gains
but more like
starting to see the definition of my abs again
im actually surprised by how quickly they're coming back
Abs came quickly for me tbh
11's
Its new years eve bruh
amen
gotta do push ups today
no jim is open

cant let new years distract us brosikes
This is why I’m glad I’m not doing ppl anymore lol
I actually get new years off from gym
I cant even go cuz mfs closed jim
manifesting gains for everyone for 2023

Im getting a Joestar star tattoo but I need a killer back workout to show it off
The outdoors is our gym
Barbells and dumbbells are just a luxury
This gym has a hack squat
I love it
I wish my gym school had one
but I feel so weak, I can barely do the machines weight (105)
Wdym backsquat
You gotta do one legged leg press
I don’t really like single leg exercies
my leg days already take 1.5 hours
I don’t wanna spend more time tbh
You fool
Your legs are unbalanced
Don't be like me
Spamming squats and getting scoliosis
(disclaimer squats probably don't actually cause scoliosis this is a joke)
your probably right, but fixing muscle imbalances is too much work
Instead of doing two legged leg press do unilateral instead
Garmin is way better for running/outdoor sports
Apple Watch tbh
Yeah
Nah i use a Garmin forerunner
Apple Watch is pretty nice
Nah get a Fitbit
I got the Fitbit inspire 2 I think and it does exactly that
tracks sleep, heart rate, steps, carlories burned and has a 10 day life cycle
for only $50
Apple Watch is fucking expensive
I do know apple has the best tracking for heart rate at the higher end hands down but I'm just tracking for trends at resting @old parrot
yeah for sure, it’s probably more accurate, but tbh it’s not like a Fitbit is off by anything signifanant
the calorie burned tracking is pretty bad though
It seems like Sleep is super accurate
the sleep thing I value a lot so it's a great fit for me @old parrot
thanks for the input!
Anyone having trouble with face pukls
Feel like the bands I got aren't elastic enough or something idk
Wtf
take off shoes when you deadlift
dont know why you would want to take off shoes when you do a front squat
Didn’t have flat soled ones today
still front squat typically makes you rotate forward
back squat / deadlift is more on your heels so it's more fine
idk, as long as you didn't get fucked too hard
sounds like you're a-okay my dude
I am home gym
I don't wear shoes in my house
And I don't bother putting on shoes just ot lift
But wearing socks without shoes while lifting anything is super sus imo
Oh I’m good, I almost ate shit really bad tho
Well my soles are like slanted downward
So I’d be leaning forward
Found a nasty forearm+wrist workout
For bigger wrists and forearm
Monkey hangs
Literally hang like a monkey for 1000 secs everyday
I already feel the burn. Atho i could hang for like 20 secs

You mean hang on a pullup bar?
Google says monkey hangs are hanging on two vertical bars
Yes this one
Just hang on pull up bar
I made the monkey hang up
Cuz it sounded cool
Dead or active hangs
Whats the difference
Uk the challenge u hang for a minute on a rolling pull up bar and u win $100
Same thing but not as crazy
Active ur shoulders
You mean bouldering?
Nope
finally starting jim again after 2 month hiatus..
wow boostcamp doesnt work anymore
Boostcamp is ass I lost all my PHUL progress
I use a gsheet now
Sorry I ever recommended that garbage
im not really working on gain atm anyways.. just body recomp
if I work the muscles I can go calorie deficit ad lose mostly fat
I went bouldering yesterday and I’m lowkey considering saying fuck lifting and just bouldering tbh
Bro so I have a fear of heights
I was scared shitless on the higher climbs
Found out I prefer more difficult climbs that are steeper but lower to the ground
Like there was one that was like an inclined ceiling that required a shitload of upper body strength
Was mad fun but I was out for like 20min after it lmao
i don't have a fear of heights but i think it'll get easier for sure as you fall and realize it's fine. now i feel like 90% of falls are not scary for me cuz it's usually easy to roll on ur back
scary ones are where ur going forward or something imo
It is but like for me it was only like a 15ft top out climb but my hands were trembling at the top
I did do a few practice falls from ~10ft to try to get comfortable
But like it’s almost like I can’t control the butterflies or trembling
Yeah I mean it was only my first time
and also you can prob do both, im barely sore except for fingers now, i remember to start my forearms dead for days lol
Since the fear is irrational im hoping I can get over it
Yeah for sure
Because it’s one thing to be scared at the edge of a skyscraper but another to be scared at the top of a 10-20ft climb fall with crash pads
welcome

Most of the cookie cutter programs don't work for my goals anymore because I want to do both random cool shit and standard lifts
And the programs are always entirely one or the other
Look up vegan bodybuilders and what they eat lol
But also why are you vegan for a month
jsut wanna try it out
Bouldering homies
If I wanna do both climbing and lifting is it good to do climbing 2-3 times a week and only strength lifting 2 times a week
Quick google says climbing takes care of high intensity low rep stuff so I should focus on building strength through low rep high weight stuff at gym
tofu = soy = manboobs?
Just lift less
Just do legs
If you boulder hard/long enough, you probably can't do arms/chest/upper since your forearms/back/shoulders are dead
just wanna try it out
I can't not exercise for more than 2 days straight
Feels like my gains instantly shrivel away
I've recently cracked 2 plates again on DL and squats
So might need to open the yee ole belt
225?
Idk why I thought you said you were higher than that before
Did way higher before
Hurt my ham strings so I dropped a lot down to restart again for recovery
Was already my weakest link too
Hence why I said I should get back the belt on, since the weights feel tangible now lol
surprised this thread is still alive
Jim is always alive

How much do you weight
Can it support you
What if a clone of you climbed on your back
Do you think the floor will fall if you weighed twice as much as you do
||the answer is yes multistory buildings can probably support an extra 150lbs or so lol||
Imagine you're throwing a party
And there's like 20 people
Let's say 10 of em want to be on the balcony
Can it support them? Yes
Thats about 1-2 tons
It depends on the balcony tho lol
Unless it's some rinky dinky ass balcony I think it's good no?
3 votes and 9 comments so far on Reddit
I think having some structural consultant take a look for a few hundred bucks is worth it over ya know the fuckin balcony collapsing
Like let’s be real, none of us here are qualified to answer this
how yall doing
I'm like 5 lbs lighter and way stronger than the last time we talked Monti

Legit legit
Gained about 20 lbs since I’ve started working out
Never expected I could gain weight this much lol
some old ass house with wood from the Lincoln era
What if I'm olympic weightlifting and testing my clean and jerk one rep max with metal plates without pads and I'm Lasha Talakhadze
hypothetically of course 🗿
nice
Thought I had small biceps
Turns out these fucking shotguns were hidden behind some fat
Especially the lower bicep part hid away the curve
I started at 388.3

Been grinding the step count this week
Hot Girl Walk ™️
Total step count this week so far not counting today or tomorrow is 42k steps
That’s a vibe
Down 37.7 pounds in 41 days
40.5 pounds down in 45 days
The grind don’t stop
I know there is a #fitness but this is the real og channel
Good shit bro
I hit my weight goals too
Bulked up to ~150 from ~130
Now the new goal is 165
thats so sick
ayo

You're losing a lot of weight Monti, about 1lb/day. That's really good but maybe slow it down for the rest of the few weeks. It'll be easier for you to build muscle and retain your physique for longer that way
Yeah I'm saying up the calories, mostly in protein
And throw in a weight lifting program
Take some creatine, throw in a couple of recovery related vitamins in there and overall aim for just 1lb a week of loss in weight
Remember, how long you lose weight is arbitrary so as long as your weight is going down
Personally if I was doing a cut like you in 16 weeks, I'd aim for maybe 20-30 lbs in total but you're on week 9 and have already lost 50 lbs. Thats fucking great man, just worried you might relapse and gain it all back
i feel u, im prob not going to slow down. im on a roll and i really cant stop now. on week 7 i had 3 cheat meals and i slowed down to only losing less than a pound
diet food be wack lol
it has 27 vitamins in every thing i eat
6 times a day
3 hours between each fueling
example of one of my 6 "fuelings" nutritional facts
You eat 6 times a day? .-. I guess that's one way to satiety down
I know you're on a roll Monti and usually people are for protracted periods of time. It's just that statistically, you are just really likely to get all your weight back. Beating odds is nice and I know you've done that in your personal life, but even if you do lose all the weight it's not gonna be good once you crack 300lbs. The amount of weight you'll lose will decrease, which will make you want to eat less and less. That's not healthy
What's your plan after week 16, to get it all back?
yep 6 times a day. 7am 10am 1pm 4pm 7pm 10pm
Bro please don't tell me you eat 6 servings of this and nothing else everyday
ill judge issues as they arise
😄
5 of these and one "lean and green meal" which is 6 oz protien, and veggies, with two healthy fats like olives
So about 170g of protein on top of this, along with some fat nice. Okay that's good! I'd say that's a little under what you should be eating according to your weight but it beats eating only whatever the fuck this fuel is lol
I'd say cut the "fueling" you're taking... The vitamin quantities are too low, even in large amounts. Also it's kinda sussy since they don't tell you what type of vitamin they are. For example, is the vitamin D D3? Is vitamin C ascorbic acid? Etc
The protein:carb: fat ratio for this meal is kinda bad too. You're eating more carbs than protein. It's also kind of a lot. 550 calories can easily be eaten with more protein and better satiety in the form of a regular meal
Vitamins & Minerals: Calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, dipotassium phosphate, magnesium oxide, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), vitamin E acetate, ferric orthophosphate (iron), niacinamide (vitamin B3), cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), potassium iodide, vitamin A palmitate, phytonadione (vitamin K1), calcium pantothenate (vitamin B5), zinc oxide, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), manganese sulfate, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), sodium selenite, sodium molybdate, biotin, riboflavin (vitamin B2), folic acid, cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), chromium chloride, copper sulfate.
here is the more detailed version
Hmm that's good actually. It says that sodium is 220g per serving so you consume about 1100g of sodium a day? Are you sweating a lot via exercise to warrant that much sodium intake? The same goes for calcium and potassium which are also electrolytes. Theyre about 1k a day as well
I'm surprised you're not feeling bloated or fatigued everyday
You're basically eating 5 mutant bananas topped with salt every day
Anyway Monti hope you find my advice helpful. Feel free to keep up the journey, but just be a bit more careful and mindful of what you're consuming into/doing to your body
not really sweating alot. i do around 8-10k steps a day of cardio but not very heavy
hasnt been a issue so far lol
thanks for all the advice
Best of luck bud! Ask me any questions if you feel like
what is this
i have life extension supplements and has like 20+ nutritions
Hot
Or you can eat whatever you can (mostly) and run
Running burns very little calories unless you're running hours on end
Also he's 315 lbs and not a lot of muscle for support, if he runs like that his knees are gonna snap
Good to see you've slowed down the weight loss Monti! Keep it up.
How tall are you btw
I think this is a bit unhealthy of a mindset, I think you should start planning for more the long term diet after you achieve your weight goals (I'm assuming you don't want to be on that 6x 110 calories thing forever)
I also have some stretch marks and I didn't lose much weight, like 150lbs to 135lbs over 3 months
So be careful of stretch marks
@night widget what is your lifting / workout program
5 11
I hear you on that. No loose skin so far and I’m grateful for that
Can’t do muscle building while on program since too low calorie. I do about 50k steps light cardio a week
I’m more concerned about bringing myself down to a healthy weight first rather than the after. Yes there is a lot of lore I have been learning about eating healthy and incorpating that into my 1 a day “lean and green(6oz protein, veggies and two healthy fats)
But my priority number one is dropping to a healthy number
I've just heard a lot about how people relapse and gain a lot of weight back after dieting
Spending some time with a body building workout will retain more muscle Monti. You can also effectively recomp your fat, since your body has more than enough storage to both burn for muscle AND lose weight
Let him cook
try keto and weights... this is perfect decreasing fat without losing muscle mass
also no running at that weight.. that's a really good way to grind down your knees (which will be detrimental for when you get older)
Don't know about Monti's specific goals besides weight loss so I'm not sure if he wants to build muscle, everyone here is just gym goers so we're biased towards that
Is 50k steps jogging or walking? I thought it was just walking. Also 50k is a lot more than I thought, like 20 miles+ dang
I think building a base layer of muscle makes sense because it’ll help support his weight and make it easier to burn calories no?
No matter how well you're doing you can always do more, for me I think it's extremely impressive that he's losing the weight and what he's currently doing is working and he should continue doing it until he reaches his weight goals. I don't think you need to minmax and do whatever is technically more optimal or whatever and you can just focus on one thing at a time so you don't get overwhelmed
Like I don't see any big issue with what Monti is doing right now (I've expressed the two smaller things I was worried about, stretch marks/loose skin and sustainability, and he's aware of them) so I don't see a big need to suggest him to do something else
fast walk,not running
Any updates monty
Bro like how would I know your talking to me if u didn’t ping me
Lmao
I’m down 86 pounds
6 weeks ago after life support, I lost so much muscle mass I needed 3 nurses to hold me up to walk. Then 4 weeks ago I had a walker. Today I did 12000 steps under my own power. Soon jim to rebuild everything else
should be channel for this
