500k tc
New grad 500k????
Yeah, base offer seems like 200K + 10K sign-on + 10K relo
But some people seemed to have negotiated it to 230-240
wtf thats like only slightly higher than meta offer
and i know for facts netflix hired like less than 50 new grad engineers or something this year
Yeah but apparently there are like 1-2 people who got offers like 300+
For their "specialized skills", don't know what
this is correct, and yeah only a very few were able to negotiate for more lol
they hired exactly 50 new grad engineers
Isn't this kinda low? G/Meta would easily beat this I feel
And no guaranteed "refreshers" either
220k is not low, im happy with it
Yeah I mean, low wrt "top of your personal market" lol
i guess its low considering they said they try to pay 20% above other companies
200 straight cash is still nice, I guess
But I wonder if they'll keep up with L4/E4 pay, which is easily 300+ these days
Your next year appraisal will be pretty interesting I guess XD
there are apparently more swe levels at netflix now, so after SWE (200k base) -> senior SWE (350k) -> still senior SWE (but 500k) -> staff -> principal
oh wow, I did not know that. And what is the expected promo time?
but this is just from what ive heard, not sure how valid this is but ive seen someone on linkedin with the staff engineer role so
no idea lol, everything is new
idek what to expect for new grad, if their expectations are either crazy low or crazy high
Can I DM you? I am an incoming intern
sure
WOW!
for how selective the company is i am not gonna lie but its kind of low
50 new grads total for a company like netflix is insane
should be 300k at least
meta hired like idk 3k+ new grads and they all like 225 tc y1
its also netflix's first ng cohort so we're just guinea pigs to see how successful this company-wide change will be
makes sense ye
is it non negotiable offer
it is, but very hard to negotiate
