LETS GOOOOO
how did you get 4 interviews?
It’s on a team by team basis, none of the interviews really affect each other
Most companies you interview for the company generally and then you team match but apple teams each interview candidates the way they want
I know it. Just wonder how you got so many interviews by just applying once on the website
I sent emails to a few University recruiters but never got back
My resume is very solid (Top ECE Master and prior internship at big tech company)
U need something that wows or relates to the team’s scope
school doesn’t do enough imo
projects and work exp matters more on specific domain
That's true
My experience is broad
I've sent emails to 10+ university recruiters at apple but no one reached out to me.
which is unlikely
One year ago when my experience was much less than now, I still got interviews from two teams at Apple. I got rejected tho
alr applied on website?
yeah
I think he probably got multiple team interviews by cold emailing hiring managers or recruiters
I tried it as well but it didn’t work out very well so far
Yeah, it's hard tbh. Apple teams look for really specific experiences too.
maybe, also they're not as big as like Amazon or others, so not as much SWE interns and it's a lot more competitive
being in a target university would help a lot, otherwise it's much harder
not saying it's necessary but it's easier for those in target unis
Whatever, congrats @west iron
you are my role model
3 apple rejects didn't stop you
Yeah I'm an ECE master's student at a target school
My background is really diverse and strong and I am not sure if this is the reason my resume didn't get me interviews.
I have prior internship at another famous software company in Bay area. I have experience in back-end REST API development, front-end UI, cloud infrastructure, Shell + Python automation, CI/CD Jenkins, containers, Machine Learning (basic supervised learning/unsupervised learning + NLP + Speech recognition), ETL/Spark, iOS development, Distributed Systems, GPU Parallelism. I use this resume to apply for any positions
even then target school like stanford isn't the top place for apple tho
san jose state university is top pick for apple
@spice drum mind if I dm u a quick question?
put it here
Kinda a random question But I thinking about what ev0s said, about how apple look for specific experience. Just curious if you had any suggestions for a team that'll make me look more promising to Apple when I apply next year? So like I could choose from:
infrastructure engineering, product platform engineering, maps engineering, mobile engineering, security engineering, AI team.
so like ik you may not be exactly familiar with the teams but just by the naked eye, which one sounds like it'll give me the best chance? also anyone else fill free to weigh in too lol
I'm not sure you get to pick your teams, rather they choose you and reach out if they're interested. Unless you know specific manager/recruiter for the team you want to connect with.
You may want to consider their EVOLVE rotational program, maybe "easier" to get into that instead of the internship. That program is for new grads, and currently the app is closed now.
They also got one for Siri ML too
This is basically factz
U could increase your likehood for a certain team by spamming managers that work on that product btw
That’s kinda how I got Apple Pay
fwiw, I never cold emailed any managers — I was reached out to each time
Also, I’m not at a target school, just a pretty good state school
yep but i did apply back in september/oct
it's like impossible to anti-doxx my resume sorry
evolution rotation and ai ml rotation suck
I don’t think they are good
I applied for both. I interviewed for the aiml rotation in Dec.
i failed the first round which was just a chat about background
they even rejected me after that
I recently started applying for the internship instead
my final goal is to get in apple nyc
I don’t go to bay or seattle for full-time. Interning there is fine tho
tho nyc has too few teams. only Apple pay and AMP
on Linkedin? Yeah, I spammed tons of managers as well. Most never reply and 10% said their positions had been filled or they weren’t to hire any interns this year
