Pog
i usually break the ice with like how long have you been at x company, what are your day to day responsibilities and build from there
like if they're a tech lead i wanna know what processes they liked coming in and what they didn't and how they changed it
๐
it's genuinely figuring out what you want to know and less about trying to play the right cards
"is there a best time to ask questions about code"
and basically get the interviewer to talk about themselves
Wym process
Process for things like merging stuff into their main branch, or bringing up stuff during ceremonies (backlog grooming, retro, etc)
this 100%
what are u interested in about the company / the work
the goal being you want to get the interviewer to talk about their experience and figure out what you would genuinely like about it
1 example is work life balance, i always ask about that shit cuz it interests me
also people love talking about themselves so just getting them to talk about that is good ๐
yea work life is good, if they dodge this or joke, youre probably gonna get in a shitty situation
yea u can even ask wtf they like about their jobs, itll get em to talk for like 5 mins
they ask u why their company so u can ask why they like theirs
also, why is my position open
How long should the you ask then questions part last?
might not apply for new grad roles tbh
I don't want to ask too much or little
yea true
its a general position theyre trying to fill for
you want to ask questions enough to make them sell it
i don t think this is a thing?
i don't think you can ask too much but too little
dont just be like yup yup yup im onboard
u wont be able to ask too much ever lol
they will be on a time limit
so have like 3-5 questions id say
and youll prob get to 3 at least
except facebook, mfs willl have 5 mins for questions and take 5 mins to answer 1 fkn question
with my fb interviews i always went over and we talked a lot lol
when do i ask questions when i'm stuck, #1 q
if i get tired of my role, can i swap somewhere here?#2 q
ive been over like 1 minute and they said bye
yea fuck em
if they dont have time for you, you dont have time for them
have a spine guys, and openly review these terrible people if you encounter them

"soandso was 5 minutes late to my interview"

just meta workers cuz they have an inside perspective
oh kek meta q
yuh
What do the most successful junior engineer here do differently than everyone else?
theyre prob gonna say grind lmao
good, that's the point of asking. now they know you wil grind
