@gusty horizon probably really well because people like me (who probably are big time borderline) have not gotten a hiring decision yet eveb after 7 weeks
7 weeks 😮
yup
moral of the story is dont be as mediocre as i am lol
and G will give offer fast
when did u interview again?
honeslty im not trying to be humble but 1 of my interviews was pretty bad. I may have gotten lucky cuz he seemed like he was working throughout the interview and at the end i had to explain my code to him as if he wasnt lsitening to me talk the whole time. my code didnt even work let alone being optimal lol.
one technical went very well, got optimal quickly and gave him time and space complexity easily
another went pretty well. got the optimal eventually with some hints. the follow-up question i couldnt answer (just verbally he wanted an answer)
and the other one went pretty well but i spent too much time talking that i couldnt compeltely finish my solution (which was optimal). but i think how much we talked and discussed tradeoffs helped me there even tho i needed 2 more mins to finish the code.
my advice would just be to communicate really well. focus on sutdying concepts not specific questions, and write/test with your own test cases
also i didnt know this was a thing till the recruiter told me rn, but i got approved for the 8 week training stream. there's also a 4 week one. im guessing people with near perfect performance get the 4 week one
Congrats, were your topics graph/tree/string stuff?
i think if they havent rjeected you within a week or so, its prolly gone to hc
yup. specifically i had 2 bfs, 1 graph (like course schedule), and 1 oop
oop was like timedmap on lc
