Just ace the technicals
Communicate your thoughts
drop tips for interview prep
pray
Make sure you know a breadth of knowledge on DSA and be prepped for anything
Obviously you gotta have depth knowledge as well so it depends how much you know/don’t know and how long you have until the interview to get there
Even G tagged isnt enough for G. They seldom repeat qs
i guess my question is what best helped you ace the interview?
Knowledge of DSA and knowing each topic well
Literally that’s it
There’s no secret formula like there is for fb
You just need to know your shit and pray for good RNG lol
Do we need to know advanced graph algos like Dijkstra, kruskal, etc?
Djikstras is common so yes
Kruskal’s idk but good to know it
You can pick up on all the graph algo’s in a few days if you just keep at it
It isn’t that bad
DP?
I’d def study djikstra’s, union find and Topo
Yes know DP
Know how to do 1d + 2d DP
Yeah I figured.... I'll have like a month to prep with no other interviews to worry about so I should be fine
I have a week but i know dijkstra's, union , topo and medium level dp
Trees and graphs are the biggest ones tho
Know everything about them inside and out tbh
Yeah that’s good
You can either cover other topics you’re weak at or improve on those
were the majority of ur technicals trees and graphs?
@willow crag those q's actually helped?
Do you mean this course on LC ?
Ah ty, my on-site is in 3 weeks so I'm highly considering shell out for LC premium lol
Oh they do regional pricing 👀👀👀 I'll be sure to try that it cause half price makes that a no brained tyty
if i get a question of this difficulty on the interview i'm just gonna leave https://leetcode.com/problems/minimum-cost-to-hire-k-workers/
Be aware if you want grokking you can buy just the course for a year you don't need to buy the whole educative.io unlimited subscription thing
I bought just grokking plus took advantage of a github student promo that educative has to give me free access to DP study materials with python which is my preferred language
Specifically this one: https://www.educative.io/courses/dynamic-programming-in-python
I'd def try and get github student for free through your uni to have a well-rounded study material collection
Dynamic programming is something every developer should have in their toolkit. It allows you to optimize your algorithm with respect to time and space — a very important concept in real-world applications.
In this course, you’ll start by learning the basics of recursion and work your way to more advanced DP concepts like Bottom-Up optimization....
100%, wish I knew about the VPN trick to get half off but oh well
I knew I saw the "button" for just the course and it took me like 10 minutes to find it again sneaky bastards
that one is 13$/month in Spain. Looks like a good resource. Thanks @willow crag

Coding interviews are getting tougher every day. A few years back, brushing up on key data structures and going through 50-75 coding interview questions was more than enough prep for an interview. Today, everyone ha...
definetly gona keep an eye on your resources
@willow crag is google onsite still coding on google docs?
